We've come to this registration process with great scepticism. The services that Alcumus provides seem to be just another hoop to jump through if we want to work with specific clients. Our systems are thoroughly assessed on an annual basis by BSI, Achilles, financial auditors and other institutions. All that SafeSupplier portal has done was to ask a handful of questions, check of certification and approval of our status. The clients could've easily done that themselves. The list of services that are available when we set up our profile on SafeSupplier portal doesn't include any of our main services, only a couple of peripheral items. This means we can't even use the portal to inform other potential clients of what we offer. I contacted our adviser about this but haven't heard anything back.
