Nobody likes stop loss but is getting stopped out more painful than riding a position down 20-60%+ in a major trend reversal OR would you rather live to fight another day with 94% of your capital in tact ready to seize the opportunity and apply it toward the next winning trade? I've done the former and now 100% committed to the latter for peace of mind! Cutting losses early is sound risk management used by the "smart money" gurus who only beat the market less than 40% of the time but you don't find this discipline at the big brokerages who encourage holding and even "buying the dip."
