I am totally new to trading. I have learned about property and have some experience there but consider myself a total novice when it comes to the stock market. Having seen Chris on The David Lin Report what stood out was his authenticity in approach alongside his technical based trading methodology/strategy. “After years of disappointment and sleepless nights with the "buy, hold and hope" long only philosophy at Fidelity and Schwab, I was fed up and spent three years studying, learning and developing my own trading strategy. Coincidentally, that's when I saw Chris speak with David Lin and I immediately knew that The Technical Traders was for me! No spin - great technical analysis - trade the trend! I've been extremely pleased with BAN, CGS and their learning center. Wow...a service where you actually follow market trends, get expert technical analysis, use triggers to get in/out of liquid ETFs including inverse ETFs, set protective stops, and take profits along the way! Try asking the big brokerages about using inverse ETFs to make money in a 40-50% diaper change stage 4 market correction - not in their vocabulary but totally on the table at TTT during the right conditions to earn returns! The "Revesting" philosophy of capital management/preservation is a breath of fresh air which I highly recommend regardless of your level of experience or size of your portfolio.
I place my own trades via Schwab Think Or Swim but you can do automatic trading as well. YES, we do sit on cash earning interest while waiting for the next entry trigger OR sometimes get stopped out of a position that's down 6%. Nobody likes stop loss but is getting stopped out more painful than riding a position down 20-60%+ in a major trend reversal OR would you rather live to fight another day with 94% of your capital in tact ready to seize the opportunity and apply it toward the next winning trade? I've done the former and now 100% committed to the latter for peace of mind! Cutting losses early is sound risk management used by the "smart money" gurus who only beat the market less than 40% of the time but you don't find this discipline at the big brokerages who encourage holding and even "buying the dip."
In addition to sound strategy with a proven track record of returns, daily video analysis of markets/positions, live interactive learning webinars, and step by step communication are standard at TTT. I've learned a LOT. Highly recommend you watch Chris deliver a market update and talk about asset revesting then give The Technical Traders a hard look! “I have been following the Oil and Gas Guy for about 10 years and enjoyed seeing him morph into more products that have grown in breadth and value.
I have been a subscriber to the CGS BAN and TTI strategies and migrated my own portfolio management in line with them. Yes, it feels strange to be an investor and be sitting in cash but now it all makes sense. I follow the Revesting Strategy, covered in the recent book for my USA account and have moved about half my Australian investment account into the same ETF-based approach. I still like to "gamble" and so have a few local Miners etc to follow with my local investor friends but have increasingly set stops and use the overall market temperature analysis of the market from TTT to help with decisions. I appreciate the consistency of the approach and the quality of the analysis and comments. Last week's CGS report by Brian was outstanding in giving an overall picture and Chris's daily BAN video is equally informative, and unbiased and removes the the need for guessing. I periodically watch/listen to the Q&A sessions and although over an hour long they serve as a good review. I would say that Chris has successfully grown his business by selecting top-quality people around him and listening to his customer's needs to fine-tune his products. Weekly mentoring sessions to help further understand whats going on, all questions answered. I think Chis and his service is a good value for the money.
If I had any issues it would be with the morning trade recomendations. Some of us still work and are at work when the trade recomendations come out. I really dont understand a Monday morning, 8:30 am recomendation when there was all weekend to send it out. This issue has unecesarily cost me money a couple of times.”
