I’ve tried the lower and higher tier mystery box watches and have been pleasantly surprised by both of the watches I received. They are very transparent about the potential conditions of watches sent out in these programs, so set expectations accordingly. The quartz ($180 mystery box) watch I received was the Trappist-1 Moonphase. It came with some very minor scratches on the back but otherwise was in great condition. MSRP is ~$270 new which I was happy with the +\-$90 savings for the minor defect. The automatic watch I received ($300 box) was the Halograph II Deep Purple which is a stunning watch in person. This one was received with no visible defects or blemishes and was the style of watch (Halograph) I was secretly hoping for with this purchase. MSRP is ~$375 so approx. $75 savings on this one. I love Xeric’s unique style and will be back for another mystery box until I’m ready to pull the trigger on a wandering hour!
