TL;DR - Yodel is hands down the worst delivery company in the UK. If you are a business looking to partner with a delivery company, stay away from Yodel at all costs.
I had a parcel shipped to me from Virgin Media via Yodel. As one may expect, this contained the required equipment to set up my broadband connection. Due to Covid, I am working from home and therefore receiving this parcel was of paramount importance.
Not only did the parcel not arrive on time, I was not even given a tracking number. I had to contact Virgin Media who had to painstakingly retrieve a tracking number for me. After another day and no delivery or updates via tracking, I contacted Yodel via webchat where they informed me that my parcel had been received at the wrong depot over four hours away from where I live.
The webchat agents did nothing more to assist me, and I was forced to write an email to the executive complaints department. This is the only saving grace for Yodel, as the lady who responded to me ensured the parcel was delivered to my home depot by the next day.
I was forced out of work through no fault of my own, but purely due to the negligence and incompetence of this compan. Since Yodel do not cover 'consequential loss' as per their T&C's, they are able to continuously make errors such as this with no regard for repurcussions. This in turn only serves to damage the reputation of the companies that use this cowboy company to handle their deliveries.
