An email 10/9/22 told me that my order was on its way and so I expected it in the next few days as has always happened in the past. On previous orders I had always been contacted by the courier but nothing happened. Unfortunately I had to go away Wed lunchtime but asked 2 neighbours to keep a look out when they could. I kept checking email while I was away but still no notifications from Yodel. I get back Sat morning to find one card only from Yodel suggesting that they had tried to deliver 3 times! Then their tracking system didn't even recognise the number on their card!
So where were the cards for the other two attempts - even if I hadn't gone away I would not know if they had been no card no email?
Where was the email saying that they had tried to deliver? I could have told them to hold the order if I realised they were trying to deliver.
No neighbour remembers them!
Sadly these drivers are on such ridiculous time schedules they do not have time to knock neighbours or even write out cards. This one obviously didn't even contact his company when an automatic email would be sent.
Unfortunately this is often the story with Yodel - neighbours have so many problems with wrong delivery and drivers not giving enough time for people to get to the door etc.
