Parcel arrived - the item had been carefully packaged, and huge 'fragile' labels all over it. The parcel contained a glazed picture. The glass was completely broken.
Contacted YODEL and the reply was very courteous, polite and apologetic. They acknowledged that I had had to pay for the picture to be reglazed (costing £65) - as a result of THEIR incompetence.
Did they offer to pay? Did they offer a small amount to cover this (bearing in mind, I had to travel with the picture to deliver it to a picture framing service and then collect it a week later; pay for parking etc - so the cost was well above £65)?
No, of course they didn't. They just do not care.
