AVOID AT ALL COSTS - 4 weeks since accident & still no repairs or courtesy car! 4 weeks since my car has been off the road undriveable after a car accident on M25 and I’ve had no vehicle, no hire car, no repairs to my car as no garage allocated agreed to repair my car in 4 WEEKS! I have resolver complaints involved, financial ombudsman & still no further forward….I call everyday day and get put through at repairers WNS who are a third party company and useless, 1st central complaints team cannot even get them to do anything and I have called daily, this is appalling service….PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! No one deserves this treatment I have 15 years no claims discount & fully comp ins yet this is how I am treated. You realise when you have an accident how poor this company are, please do not be left in the same place at me

We had insurance with 1st Central and sold the vehicle and cancelled the insurance. 1st Central did not cancel the policy when we called to cancel and kept collecting premiums for 3 months after the vehicle was sold. Phoned them up and they agreed to cancel and agreed to give us a refund with a breakdown of the refund. We were charged for 270 days of insurance (which is correct) but they charged us the full year's worth of interest!! Explanation was that the system calculated it and nothing they can do. Sure we should only be charged interest for the duration of the contract and not for a full year! Very bad customer service as well because the operator did not want to listen to any reasoning.

Purchased policy with reffer friend link. Me and the the friend who referred suppose to get some vouchers. After 9 months calls and email conversation with get departments ( as no one wanted to take responsibility for the case and I was transferred from one department to other) I decided not to contact them anymore and just move my cover elsewhere. It is not about the money, it was a few pounds only, it.is about the principal. They made a promise and they broke it for few pounds only, so it made me think, would they keep the promise whey they will have to pay bigger money in case of potential claim. I need insurance to feel safe on the road, not just to be legal on the road, so 1st Central will not.be taken into consideration anymore regardless of their prices and offers.

me to put money in my account. Company and their customer service has absolutely no understanding of these circumstances and punishes me with £15 default fee. When I called them they tell me to send an email. Answer me to the email to call. Wasting my time with the same words I heard already. On the other side they would cause issues if I ask for a fee for taking money too late. lol. Anyway learned a new way to make money. Think twice before signing up.

First time in my 13 years 'car insurance experience' I've seen something like this... They charge for policy cancellation even if it haven't started yet I still had my cooling-off period.. they sent me terms and conditions and even there it's stayted if your policy started but it did not. Also be aware that your down payment (deposit) doesn't come off from your monthly payments they explained to me that it's simply fees. Meanwhile other companies take your down payment off from your annual payment.

If I could give no stars then I would. Accepted a policy and upon receipt of documents, the dates were wrong. Contacted Customer Service as soon as they opened (less than 12 hours later) to explain and told would need to cancel policy and get a new quote - Fair enough. However, was then advised that there was a £50 cancellation fee, for a policy that they got wrong, that had not even started. Awaiting outcome of complaint before going to Financial Ombudsman.
