I ordered a large shelf unit from 2Modern manufactured by Ethnicraft. It's solid mahogany and constructed in Indonesia - beautiful materials. Unfortunately, the design of the supports is unsafe and totally insufficient for actually using the shelf. The wall supports are set 26" apart, so most people will have to use a drywall spreader support in at least one place. No hardware was provided with the shelf, and the holes in the interior supports are so small that a screw with adequate threading to support the shelf (nevermind items atop the shelf) will not fit. The closest I could find at the hardware store was OK with the drywall spreaders, but until the head is tiny it will simply not fit into the support correctly, which causes the supports to not lie flush against the wall, which resulted in a sagging shelf. I reached out to customer service and informed them of all of this. They simply informed me that without the original packaging the item is not returnable. Kind of ridiculous that I'm informing them that they are selling a product that comes incomplete and poses a potential safety hazard, and that's the response. The item was not cheap either.

The 2Modern customer service reps were very helpful and the Metropolitan delivery fellows very nice and thorough. However the shipping experience was full of snafus (failure to "release") and re-scheduling which made a short journey from Morena Valley, CA to Northern San Diego County turn into a 3+ week wait for the lamp. It took so long that I was able to see a competitor drop the price by $120 (unfortunately after 7 days had passed). If the lamp would have come promptly I wouldn't have minded so much.

My sister had given me two pina pro rechargeable table lamps. I had someone working in my house I who accidentally threw out the charger bases in the name of decluttering. I was distraught but Angelica found out that she could sell me to charger separately from the rest of the lamp. She must’ve sensed my being destroyed over not being able to use the lights cause she got back to me very Quickly with the answer.. L

Extremely upset SHOP automatically processes order and automatically charged my card without allowing me a second review. At this point undecided about 2Modern and future purchases, once order is received timely without incident will have a better prespective.

Found a pendant that I liked but had questions. Rang customer service and helped answer all questions. Won’t receive my item for like 10 weeks, but I feel confident after the interaction today and it aligns with previous purchase time from vendor

Could I have had a choice on the colors on my rug? Like the mat but not looking great on our deck. Raspberry out of place with our red cushioned furniture. I do like the product.

The Nut pendant lamp is as lovely as it looks online. I have the white one with a bulb that changes colors, so it can have many personalities. However, there is one issue, the wire it hangs from is bent, and not in a lovely curvy way. The lamp is very lightweight, and it's not enough to straighten it.

At the time of placing our order for a dining table set, we were told it would take 8-10 days to ship once the order had been processed. We ordered our dining room furniture almost 4 weeks ago and then received another update that we would not be receiving our order for another 3 - 4 weeks, totalling 7 - 8 weeks before we would receive it. We followed up with the store and this was their response with regards to their shipping estimates: “timeframe primarily pertains to the shipping process itself and does not include the transit times, which can vary based on several factors including the logistics of the delivery addresses involved. Regrettably, transit times can only be accurately determined once the order is processed, and the logistics between the origin and destination addresses are established. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to provide precise delivery estimates until after the order has been placed.” We would have ordered our furniture elsewhere if we had known that their shipping process takes this long. Very misleading shipping information on website and unhelpful customer service.

I purchased an item and the color was misrepresented on the website. They offered a very small discount and said it was a courtesy discount. If I wanted to return the item, it would be at my expense. This is not good business to misrepresent merchandise and then have the customer pay to get a refund. I will not do business with this company again.
