The silicone basket screen works great, it's just the principal of direct contact to your espresso that's unrefined. Please include an optional metal mesh screen such as the IMS one. 2. A metal chimney to round out the classic materials, not a composite one. 3. A pressure gauge! Other than that, very happy and thankful to 9barista for making such a quality product...life changer.”

“Een formidabel tuig om espresso te maken. Degelijk gebouwd, het is vrij zwaar en mooi om naar te kijken. Het heeft mij wel een vijftiental koffies gekost om de juiste afstelling te vinden maar sedertdien slagen ze altijd. Ik kreeg aanvankelijk op het einde grote, kwade bellen en de koffie was veel te bitter. Het duurde ook te lang, nl zes en halve minuut eer de koffie tevoorschijn kwam. Blijkbaar was mijn fout dat ik het op een te laag vuut zette (was: hoogste vuur op het kleinste pitje. Moest zijn: grootste vuur op middelgroot pitje). De koffie moet inderdaad voor espresso gemalen zijn, 't is te zeggen fijn. Ik heb de koffie ook wel eens té fijn gemalen, dan kreeg ik een paar centiliters olie. Soit: leuk ding waarmee ge goede espresso kunt maken en anders ook een beetje kunt experimenteren. Enige minpuntje: geen uitleg in het Nederlands of het Frans.”

““Review after a week of daily use” This is a niche product for coffee nerds like me, but it delivers more than good espresso. It gives you the same good espresso over and over, and therefore it is a great learning device for coffee aficionados. More precise and user-friendly than any non-PID espresso maker, it could become my one and only espresso artifact if I hadn’t concerns about its durability. Only time will tell. Two main cons are price and workflow. I chose the refurbished items for a little economy and no problem to date, but you are paying premium money for a premium product. As for the second inconvenient, you don’t buy this piece for caffeine partys: it’s your Espresso Satisfyer. For à deux use try this: make one cup, divide it in two ristrettos and enjoy 15 minutes of coffee conversation while you make the second one. Accessories needed: none, but the dosing ring and the IMS basket are nice improvements. Shipping was fast and easy. 9Barista Customer Service is outstanding. They understand their product and their clients, providing kind, informative and empathetic attention and after-sales care. Thanks to the crew! L”
