Full disclaimer, I am staying in a hotel for a couple months and the countertop stove didn't have the required power output to get the unit up to pressure. I got a plug in countertop unit that worked perfectly! Now I have to find out what to do in the evening as I couldn't let the shot go to waste!!! “Exactly as advertised. This machine produces espresso shots that are better than many coffee shops. I used Illy classic espresso beans. I also think using a WDT tool helps. You have to use a good grinder that can do fine grind (I bought the OXO grinder). By the 3rd or 4th try I had it dialed in and every shot since has been fantastic. It would be awesome if they developed a larger model that could do 2 servings at once. Love it!”

“Shipping to the USA was extremely fast. I received the ITEM only three days after ordering it. The 9Barista makes good espresso just as advertised. However, I have better luck when I let the heat diffuser heat up for a couple of minutes before I put the machine on. I also have the best results when using a 3” diameter burner on my gas stove. I initially tried the 2.25” burner but it never got sufficiently hot to pull a shot. I’m still fine-tuning the dose and grind size. Right now I’m using an 18 gram dose set at a grind setting of 18 on a DF64V grinder. However the brew time is a little quick, so I might go finer on my medium roast Costa Rican beans. This is a great little machine if you want to make espresso for one or two people. If you use it with a milk frother you can make some excellent drinks with very little hassle.”
