This company is a total scam... They allowed a breach, paid out the fraud and then told me it was my problem? Cancelled accounts will never use anything backed by this company.. You all should be very very afraid of this company.

I have been a loyal customer for over six years, but my recent experience with their customer service has been extremely disappointing. Without any prior notice or explanation, my account was suddenly closed. When I contacted customer service to resolve the issue, the situation only deteriorated. The representatives I spoke to were not only unhelpful but also rude. Communication was frustratingly difficult, with one agent hanging up on me after a 30-minute conversation. To make matters worse, another representative provided me with incorrect information. Overall, this has been the most frustrating and unacceptable customer service experience I've ever encountered

Closed the account for no explicable reason but then promised to reopen it but then application services insisted on a new card which I had no use for. Waste of time and money and credit.

I have had a Barclay Master card for about 6 years now and have never been late on a payemnt. For the last year, I have been fortunate enough to pay off my card charges (an average of$500-$800) each month, negating any interest charges. My FICO is 824. I just received a letter from Barclay stating that because I do not use my credit limit of around $20K, they are lowering it to $5K. Ridiculous and unacceptable. I am penalized (a lower limit could negatively impact my credit rating) for being responsible. I contacted them, and they want me to reapply to reinstate the higher limit. No. I think I will use my AMEX gold card with no preset spending limit!

They made an error that made my credit score go down 61 points in one day and won't let me talk to the department responsible. I had an 801 credit score until their mistake. Now I have to go through the credit bureau to fix their error. Don't trust them!

I have had this card for 10 years. Had a 10000.00 limit. Used occasionly. Kept it in case of emergencys. Well the other day they sent me a letter saying they dropped my limit down to 3000. I have never been late. I complained but they said i would have to ask them to increase my limit they couldn’t just do that. Not a good company as far as i am concerned. That is not how you treat long standing customers

I have had a credit card for years with a high limit. I have bills that draft monthly on the card. Now they just lowered my limit to 5k. I pay my balance and never been late. I also have a savings account with them that I closed out due to not trusting them anymore. I feel betrayed as a quality good customer.

We closed are account two years ago but they reopened it and tried to charge us the yearly fee for the credit card. I called their customer service and got someone named Trace on the line. Her accent was hard to understand but we told her what our problem was and she connected us with someone named Ron. Rod did not have a last name and he did not have a supervisors name so we were stuck with talking with him. He also had a thick accent and he was hard to understand. We finally got him to understand that we simply wanted to close this account like we had done two years ago. At this point he told us that they had no record of us closing this account which I know is a lie because I was with my wife when she called in and closed it. He tried to argue that we had not close it which is when I got involved because he was calling us a liar. After a heated discussion I got it through his thick skull that we wanted the account closed NOW. Then he tried to convince us to keep the card and we told him to close the "explitave" card NOW. He finally said it was clsoed but he wouldn't give us a conformation number, his last name or the name of his supervisor. With God as my witness I will never get a card from this company again.

Customer service is the worst I have ever seen for a company! One customer service person hung up on me! The second customer service person couldn't help me! What do I need to do to get a problem resolved????? You can "NOT" get anyone who can help you at Barclays! What a shame!!!!!!!

I was a customer of Barclays Credit Card for over a decade. Never had a problem until now. I had a $10k limit on my card, I made one purchase of just under $2,000 and before the charge even hit my monthly statement; I got hit with a letter than cut my total limit in half! I have had a credit card for over 30 years and never had this happen. This is a dirty business practice. It cut my credit score by 20 points and I had a credit score of 830. No late payments for years. This is intentionally trying to green up your books and it should be a completely illegal practice. Sadly, it is not as the bank can decide to raise or lower your limit whenever they feel like it. I am filing a complaint with my state's better business bureau, but I am not sure how far it will get me. I have heard many similar stories and this needs to be a class action lawsuit. I cut up the card and sent the shards back to them with a note saying you may get cut on this card like you cut up my credit score.

I've been a customer for over 10 years, and as soon as I pay the balance in full, they cut my limit in half killing my credit. I've never really liked this card, but it had a great limit. Never get any credit from Barclay.....scandalous

Whole company is dog poo. Upset with them? File complaints with SEC, FINRA, BBB, FTC, DOJ,... then leave them a bunch of negative reviews. THIS BANK IS NOT IN US, SO GOOD LUCK!..... JUST TRANSFER YOUR BALANCE TO CHASE OR ANOTHER CARD, THEN CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT ASAP!!!!

received notice of 29% interest rate. when I was young, they called this loan sharking. I am a senior, no assets, live on ss income only and live in state housing. never been late on payments with a credit score of 780. I am judgement proof and may just stop paying. I have nothing so what can they get.

I tried to have Barclays credit card decrease the interest on my card. They did not and the only reason was they just want to make more money. So I wrote to them a letter saying how unreasonable they are. A few months later they decreased the amount of my credit limit because I have not used the card as often as they wished. What a bunch of dinks.

I want to extend my heartfelt wishes to each individual reading the comments on this platform and express my gratitude to the administrator who established such a vibrant forum for discussion. The information in this letter will have a significant impact on your knowledge if you invest in cryptocurrencies. Please read it carefully. For the previous two years, my family and I have been trading cryptocurrencies legally, but we haven't suffered a loss as severe as the recent one when our money totaling $911,000 was stolen by a broker who robbed us of our coins. We made every effort to file a report and recover our money by contacting the police department in charge of investigating fraudulent situations, but nothing was successful. We merely wanted the broker to assist us in mining some coins so that the sudden decline or reduction of Bitcoin won't significantly affect us, but we ultimately fell victim to fraud. I told an acquaintance about it, and she gave me the access of a hacking group, TheresachinRecovery. Which is how I got in touch with them via email: t h e r e s a c h i n 1 2 1 2 (at) g m a i l . c o m Call/WhatsApp: + 1 2 3 4 3 0 0 1 5 4 4 , and I got along well, and when I told them everything that had happened to make me fall for the scam, they provided me with the assurance that I didn't need to worry because they made sure i have my money in my wallet within 72 hours as promised. I'm so excited and will continue sharing the good news of my redemption.

Absolutely horrible bank. They just took every bit of my credit away with just my balance left. 100% payments on time. Never late on a bill. They said I had to many revolving credit cards. If everything is paid on time and less than a third of the card has been used, I find that unacceptable. I called and was told there is nothing that can be done about it. I will pay the balance and close the card. Michele CiavolaM

Customer service is terrible none of the service reps I spoke with could speak English well enough to be intelligible. When my card was compromised and I had to order a new card it took at least 10 days to get it. Other CC companies expedite new cards at no cost. You would think that would be a good tactic if they want you to use the card. I will be phasing out my use of this card and returning to Capital One.
