The website and phone system will accept ypur payment and even send a confirmation email, then you will discover days to weeks later that it did not actually go through and you will not have been notified. Also, if you have secondary bank accounts listed, it will sometimes pull from a different account than the one you click. If you call to notify, they will tell you it is corrected, but it won't be. Even if you remove that account from the website, Barclay will conrinue to hit the wrong account over and over again and you're on the hook for bank overdraft fees. Every time you speak to a representative, you'll be told it is fixed, only to find out later it was not. Absolute nightmare.

Terrible security. Terrible customer service. They can not protect your account and it takes hours on the phone to get it fixed. My card had unauthorized charges and they replaced it. I used it one time and then there were unauthorized charges on the new number. they closed that card and issued a new card and I told them not to mail it. The new number was used and I was unable to lock the cards. Definantely they are being hacked from the inside. I asked them to waive a $2 charge on the fraudulent activity and they would not. b

Decided to go on a cruise with our family, seemed like it would be such a fun END OF THE YEAR SCHOOL TRIP…applied for the Carnival CC through Barclays, paid for the cruise, everything was great and BOOM…the card this completely LOCKED from “safety concerns” that NOBODY can ever seem to give you information from. We chose to apply for this particular card for the points and $200 credit from using it with the first purchase as well as while being on the cruise. I call, nobody can give any information except to FAX in documents to PROVE our identity. Done…we are 3.5weeks out and it’s still locked and when you call the number it says to call, NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING because the information you have to fax it to, they don’t have access too. We fax the documents the end of April, still nothing. Called to get an update, they needed extra documentation, not a problem!! Faxed the extra information on May 5, 2023 and I called today, May 15th, NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING AND CANT SEE ANYTHING BECAUSE THE FAX NUMBER SENDS IT TO DELAWARE AND THEY CANNOT SEE ANYTHING. I would NEVER recommend this CC company to anyone! We have had to cancel our cruise because they wouldn’t tell us if it would be unlocked by then. Of course after canceling, we lost out on over $1,000! Family trip RUINED. If you want a great CC that comes with no issues, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! DO NOT OPEN A CARD THROUGH THIS COMPANY! We were given a pretty great credit limit, but it doesn’t matter when you can’t even use it and not even a supervisor can help you!! I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service as well as the lack of knowledge on what is going on! Go with AMEX, Discover..ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS TERRIBLE CREDIT CARD COMPANY!!!!

The absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. They have no clue what they are doing. You 1st get the Philippines who have no clue and US customer service is just as bad .. They double charged my card and my balance should have been 0. But they refuse to help. You have to go thru about 10 people and still with no resolve. Going on since March 32st. Unbelievable. Stay Clear of them if you know what’s good for you. Run…Run far away…

My card was compromised and they promised next day delivery for my new card and it took 4 days. I had to leave two days after their promised next day delivery so now I’m without my credit card for 6 weeks.

This is the WORST credit card i ever had, its been hacked 9 times, ive done everything i could to protect my information. I have excellent credit ratings and never been late on payments finally closed it. But someone else opened it in my name. I just got an email stating my phone number has been change. Caution barclays securities sucks

The worst credit card company ever. They accidently sent the card to my previous address and that was when the card got activated by strangers (please note that anyone can activate your card, you don't have to use registered phone number to active it...wow). It has been 1 yr since the first time I called them to report fraud transactions (total 5 cards were opened under my name without my knowledge). I have been talked to several account managers who said sorry all the time and promised to fix it. After all, my credit score WAS RUINED and nothing has been fixed. THEY EVEN SENT ME TO CREDIT HUNTER. Very irresponsible management services. Now I have to file report to consumer protection to repair my credit score. SAVE YOURSELF BY STAYING AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

This is the most relentless, rigid credit card company have ever experienced. They will not bend/flex on any of their additional fees...ever. Save yourself some grief and move on to another card. They all suck, frankly but this one is worse!

I was approved for this card with zero interest for about a year. Never missed a payment and paid extra. Out of the blue, they lowered my credit limit to right above what I owed. I called and spoke to them. Explained nothing had changed on my end. They reinstated the original credit limit. A few months later they again out of the blue lowered it. I didn’t even waste my breath. Paying off and will close account. So not worth it. They are completely unfair.

This use to be a great card. Now they hold your account hostage if you don't provide your personal data to them. They use the Patriot Act as an excuse to demand information. The Patriot Act does not state what information a bank has to collect to verify a cardholders identity. Barclay's uses it as an excuse to data mine, and then sell it to other companies.

Was a customer with them for 5 years! I had an apr interest of 29.9 % , I called them after 5 years and asked for a lower apr interest, they said there was nothing they could do! I told them for being a customer for 5 years that’s pretty ridiculous they can’t help me out, they offered a temporary reduce apr of 0% for a limited time, I denied and told them I would be taking business else where! Screw them!

Got this card via Apple when I bought a new phone, started with $1000 limit which climbed up to $7000 over a few years. Never missed a payment according to both credit agencies however when I got my balance down to $2000 they cut my limit to $2500 which cost me 30+ points on my score blaming my account being in arrears.

Don’t sign for for this card. I’ve had multiple two charges that needed to be disputed. Neither one was a legitimate charge (one due company who did not send me the products I ordered and one due to a merchant failing to provide the service after payment) but each time, all it takes is the other party to lie for them to close your dispute and make you pay the charge anyway. They read you a script about your next steps and basically say sorry this is your problem not mine. I’m paying off my card and ditching this company because they are useless.

Bad card to get. I signed up online on Nov 22. Never received a card or card number. Charged the card once in Dec for $160. Since I could not pay online(no card no). I paid $350/- on March through telephone. Where the agent promised a reversal of the late fees (Dec-mar) as the bank not not sent card. Again I was told I “owed $101/- in April 23. I have paid $450/- for a $160/- transaction. No fault on my side. Don’t do it there are other cards that offer better rewards

They would get a zero if I could give it. Customer service don't know anything, pretty much a waste of time to call them. Fraud department, why even have one for what good they are. Shredded my card and we'll never do business with them again.

Customer service is a joke. Not sure what country they have outsourced this to, but these poor employees are only trained to read a script over and over. Go up to supervisor level and the language is easier to understand, but they have no authority to actually do anything. Zero help and they absolutely do not care about their customers. Move on to another financial institution, this one is bottom of the barrel.

Barclay cards customer service is not helpful, they pretty much read off a script, barclay is not willing to work with you , I would stick with discover, their customer service is amazing and they do work with their customers, do not recommend barclaycard…

I was hospitalized and missed a payment. When I called to make the payment and let them know why I missed the payment they basically said that stinks but you have to make that payment, a late fee AND next months payment now. Then they lowered my credit limit significantly and messed up my credit score. I can't wait to pay off that balance in a few months and dump them for good!
