“Horrible customer service I’m on hold 2hr & still no person!!!”

“I feel that this information is necessary as a warning to other potential buyers. The shoe(s) in the photos is almost new. I had a similar pair prior to these that were, in all fairness, very comfortable right from new, so I bought a second pair to 'put away for the future' --on the first pair both soles parted from the uppers; this was after about 6 months, but this second pair have failed very quickly indeed...note: gluing up with such as 'Evo-stick' only has a certain life-span. I have also noticed (when removing the inner sole) that both shoes have been letting water in--the material under the inner sloe is compressed card which will disintegrate! --This was common on shoes costing a tenner from Timpsons years ago! Clarks shoes used to use durable fabric or leather in the past. The drop in quality nowadays is staggering. There is no pride in the product...it smacks of profit before customer satisfaction.”

“Horrible customer service! Cannot understand them and no one speaks English very well. Offered me a 25% discount and said it cannot be applied to after they ship the item. Called them again they never applied it and argued with ignorant person named Lauren . Will be calling my credit card next to dispute! Do not order from Clark’s website!”

“Ordered 2 pairs of shoes online £155, arrived very quickly, they were not right for me so I took them to the Clark’s Shop near me for a refund as it said I could on my invoice. Sorry can’t do refunds here I was told, you can leave them and I will deal with it the manageress said. Ok I leave the shoes, can I have a receipt to say there are in the shop, no we can’t do this. Have been in touch with Customer Support twice, who are based in South Africa still waiting, at least some acknowledgment to say they have my shoes, never mind a refund. Why does Clark’s say return your shoes to a store for a refund when this is not the case? Very disappointed!!”

“These shoes are garbage. They fell apart within 2 weeks. They were shipped by boat from china. Took nearly 1 month to get here. I bought them off an ad while i was playing ten crush. 60.00 for 2 pairs. Dont wate your money. Only buy from us companies made in usa. NEVER AGAIN”

“Both my husband and father bought Clarks shoes and both had the soles come away within a few wears and had to glue them back on. This is terrible quality compared to years ago”

“Ordered - waited and waited and waited. Product arrived very late. Didn’t fit. Returned - still waiting for credit to my card. Called - was in gueue for over an hour. No answer Next step - contact my NYS assemblyman”

“Ordered Online - a pair of Men's Shoes size 11, Clark's delivered size 10 ? How hard can it be to select the correct size!!!!! So, I had to go to the local Clark's shop to get a refund (or pack it all up and return it). Why do companies like Clark's employ staff who cannot read or cannot be bothered to do the job properly.....and when it goes wrong, its the customer who is left to sort it out......not a happy customer.”

“Horrible company to deal with. Ordered online. Received a pair of shoes that were terrible stinky vinyl. Badly made. Gobs of glue everywhere. Requested a refund. Was told to return the shoes but to be aware the shipping fees would cost more than the shoes. Was offered a discount to keep the shoes and partial refund was promised. Months later... no refund. They won't respond to my emails. Lost my money and threw the shoes in the garbage. DO NOT buy from this company!!”

“Looking at their description on providing superior shoes etc are all but a scam. Their products are of super inferior quality and the customer service is horrendous and pathetic. Luckily they do not have a reviews page but I think they took it down because they would have gotten 0 star. Rubbish brand. This will be my first and last time buying from this brand. Too bad there is no zero star.”

“What a scam! The shoes I got look nothing like the advertisement. A bunch of cheap material with no support. The customer service is so bad. They will not give me my money back and think I'm going to mail these to china. Never do business with these crooks!”

“My problem is with clarksnice these are nothing but poor knockoff's from china! The leather is vinyl and it stinks! There is nothing orthopedic about these shoes, and it appears that getting a refund will cost me more than the shoes because I need to return them to china!!!! Really! Do not fall for this scam!!!!!”

“This product is a scam. I was sent a big pair of shoes to what I ordered. Most importantly, the upper shoe material is not leather as described nor was it a quality vinyl. It was make of plastic upper which does not even hold its shape. When I complained about it, I was told that they will give me a 15% discount or I can. mail it back to China. They also indicated that they do not refund money based on poor quality.”

“Your lady at Mirdiff City Center in Dubai is so arrogant and not helpful. She throws shoes and leave with helping. She gave it to me in a bag not it’s box b cause I wanted it to be widen. I noticed she deals with all customers this way. Not helpful and I am sure you loose customers. Do not take my word for it, please check it out to make sure.”

“Despicable company; I returned a pair of unworn shoes to Clarks, received by them on 11 Nov., for refund. They have REFUSED to date to award the refund they owe, contravening consumer law. They failed to reply to dozens of e mails, sent over several weeks only responding when I left a bad review. They REFUSED to process a formal complaint, contravening good practise and potentially consumer law. I raised a dispute with my bank, and Clarks now REFUSE to process the formal complaint AND REFUSE to award the refund they have owed me since 11 Novemeber. I have complained to consumer agencies as well as raising a dispute. Customers should not have to do all this to get refunds owed. DO NOT USE this company; I will never use them again.”

“Absolute rubbish! £40+ for my toddlers shoes and hardly any to choose from. Everything was out of stock or discontinued. I was brought 4 pairs of shoes out which were all hopeless- 2 red pairs (won’t match anything), a pair with laces (for a 2 year old??), one was £46! The assistant couldn’t phone another branch for me, couldn’t look online and told me the boots I really wanted was discontinued - Even though winter is about to start! No new shoes coming in either. Far too expensive and rubbish service. Clark’s is a joke!”
