Impossible when they have to reimburse. Complicated procedure and impossible to speak to any human being for help.

Needed to claim for flight cancellation but apparently not covered despite being quoted up to £1000 for flight cancellation.

DO NOT EVER USE AXA OR COVERWISE. THIS COMPANY IS BEYOND A JOKE, A CON. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER THREE MONTHS FOR MY MEDICAL CASE TO BE REVIEWED. I HAVE CALLED ALMOST WEEKLY, TO BE TOLD THE SAME THING EACH TIME. USELESS, UNHELPFUL STAFF. ASK TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER, AND FUNNILY ENOUGH THERE IS NO MANAGER AVAILABLE. AT ONE STAGE I WAS TOLD ALL AUTHORISED AND THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A LETTER DETAILING MONEY TO BE REFUNDED TO ME. ONLY TO RECEIVE AN EMAIL TWO DAYS LATER ASKING FOR MEDICAL HISTORY… THIS WAS ONE MONTH AFTER THE CLAIM WAS INITIALLY LOGGED. I SENT MEDICAL HISTORY THE FOLLOWING DAY. I CALLED A WEEK LATER AS I HAD NOT HEARD FROM THEM, AND WAS TOLD WAIT FIVE DAYS FOR REVIEW, AS THEY HAD NOT SEEN I HAD SENT WHAT THEY HAD ASKED FOR. SINCE THEN I HAVE CALLED WEEKLY TO FOLLOW UP, AND EVERYTIME I AM TOLD TO WAIT ANOTHER FIVE DAYS AS THE MEDICAL HISTORY STILL HAS NOT BEEN REVIEWED. IN THE MEANTIME, I AM GETTING CHARGED INTEREST ON MY CREDIT CARD AS I AM STILL WAITING REIMBURSEMENT FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. THIS COMPANY IS A CON. DO NOT USE THEM. RIP OFF. CON ARTISTS.

Terrible, terrible company. I have been trying and trying to get an answer to my claim but NOTHING. NEVER NEVER AGAIN. what an absolute waist of time.

This insure only take you money not carer about Custumers , been 7 year’s using this insurance without claim and when I did a claim I’m so disappointing still waiting for my claim

Poor response time, waited 2 months for a reply to multiple emails. Had to call up to find out that they don't cover flight cancellations unless it is down to a specific list of just 3 circumstances. They may be cheap but thats for a reason. Avoid.

Do not use this company if you actually want to make a claim. The Coverwise Axa portal freezes halfway through your claim and telephone line is joke. They sound as if they're operating out of a cupboard and cut you off halfway through your claim. Absolutely disgraceful service.

Last may we went on holiday we insured with coverwise thay took the money no problem but when we had to claim we got the runaround from one phone number to another we got no where. If you do go with this company.and have to claim good luck you will need it

Placed unborn baby at risk- On my renewal call last year I asked two direct questions to Coverwise- Q - Is my pregancy covered A - Yes Q - Do I need to make you aware of any pregancy related illness A - No It turns out this is incorrect as the final 8 weeks are not covered by the insurance. Coverwise did not make me aware of this at the time of the call and did not refer me to any paperwork. I directly asked if a my current pregancy was covered, given it takes 9 months you would think the answer 'yes', well covered the whole 9 months. I then spoke to a manager a week before I was due to fly, who made it seem like it was my fault for not asking 'If I'm travelling late in my pregancy would any claim be covered'. Why would I need to ask such a question when I was told the pregancy would be covered? Complaint CWUK451 This has put myself and unborn child at risk.

Cancelled holiday in May this year, keep asking for same info over and over again, phone them and on hold for an hour then get cut off or cannot understand what the person at the end is saying! Emails have now stopped, probably think I have given up but I have not. Dreadful company - please DO NOT USE as they may be cheap but wait until you try and make a claim.................................................

Absolutely dreadful - declined my claim. Too sick to travel to the airport, have a no show letter from Jet2 - nothing! DO NOT USE!

Made an online claim in the 8th August … have e - mailed twice for update & No response 😡it is now the 30th of September … had to leave one star ⭐️ but would have preferred to leave none !

Cannot get through. Nothing heard back in the 8 weeks since claim made. Impossible to chase. Passed through Axa to the wrong departments. Nightmarish. Avoid.

Terrible! No response to claim sent in June for stolen property. Impossible to get through on the number. It just cuts off. Spent hours trying. This company is a joke.

Been waiting since May about my claim keep asking for more documents or resending them, they don't answer the phone or on hold for ages then cut off never answer any emails worst insurance company ever and underwritten with AXA disgusting company should be reported would avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Its a shame that to post a review you need to give one star.... they are undeserving of that too. Would not recommend, they are easy to take your money, but when it comes to handle a claim- do not even bother trying to get through, it will just cost you hours on the phone just to get through (if your lucky) to an unclear line which eventually cuts off. DISASTER.

Had to cancel a flight in May. Started the claim immediately. It's now 23 Aug and called them. After holding for 33mins the phone is answered only for the line to go dead before my claim number was given. This seems to be a tactic to avoid dealing with customers. A terrible company and a waste of money.

Just like everybody else here, I am calling every day and the line keeps going dead. I sent my details for the claim over a month ago and still nothing. I am getting so frustrated, I just spent an hour on hold waiting for somebody to answer and then just as I am giving my details the line goes dead.

If I could score a minus score, there wouldn’t be enough numbers to score!! 7 weeks 1 day today since I filed my travel insurance claim. I have called the claims line numerous times, 15/20 minute hold times, then 30/60 minute hold times only for the call to drop off. If you’re lucky to get through, give them your claims number and surprise….the line goes dead. I’ve had to ask them to call me back. They do an hour later, then tell you they haven’t received all the information, send it again, still not correct, then try and deduct money from the money you’re owed. I have called the customer relations, and was advised a manager would call 24/48 hours. 10 days later and still no call back. I’ve sent my complaint to the financial ombudsman so await their reply. I’ll never deal with AXA or Coverwise again!!!!!
