I have been waiting patiently for two days since the breakdown of our van only to be told when i called richfords motors this evening to chase the pick up like i have done for two days and two nights, that’s when I was told the vehicle cannot be seen. She said that i should ring the police because the road has double yellow lines. i said i have this vehicle tracked and it has not moved. she won’t let me speak so i screamed out of frustration. she still won’t let me speak (i don't know how these people are making their way into such positions where they are trusted to deal with frustrated human beings.) I tried to explain to this lady to speak to the driver to look around the petrol station (at this point i gathered the vehicle was within the petrol station compound but by the road and very visible) instead of listening she allowed the driver drove away wasting everyone’s time. Mind you, i called them before finding out about this. No one cared to contact me to say they could not find the vehicle. This, i am not sure happed, i don’t think anyone went to pick up this vehicle. They told me i must speak to RAC to rebook the pickup. However, when i called the first time and spoke to a lady she asked me to hold on while she speak with the richfords motors. She came back with some story that the vehicle is with the police even though i have explained that the vehicle is still there and i had called the petrol station to confirm. The lady at the petrol station even told me that they need the van moving asap because they have a delivery in the morning and the van is in the way. That lady at RAC asked me to hold on the second time and then hung up on me. I rang richfords again and was told there is nothing they could do, that i must ring RAC again. I have been treated like i am insane. i feel insulted and very stressed. I have been understanding with the whole scenario because i understand the situation with the flood but this treatment from you and your contractor left me shocked and very disappointed. I have been with you guys for over 8 years now and this treatment goes to show me the kind of service you provide. I rang the second time and this time a gentleman called Mohamed picked up and was nice. He too was poisoned with the made-up and insane story of the van being towed by the police. not sure who hired this person in this richfords office. people saying things without fact. obviously says their level of education.

I have been waiting 9 hours for a breakdown technician. I have called 5 times for an update and told they would prioritise my case and ring back. Nothing has happened.The last message said they would be here 3 hours ago. This is beyond appalling.

The worst experience, twice in a year left for hours , gave up both times and paid fortune for a recovery truck instead. Both instances got call off an RAC partner, looking for me ......24 hours later. In very cold conditions. Hopeless

Reported a breakdown 6pm Sunday 15th October... it's now 7am Wednesday- and still no recovery. After a my clutch had failed on my van.. I was told a patrol would be with me within 5 hours (when first reported) I waited untill midnight and called in again and was told unfortunately we are unable to attend as we are very busy! And advised me to get a taxi home and we will attend between 1pm-9pm Tommorow. Midnight the following day- no-one arrived. Day 3- Tuesday.. I was told after i made numerous calls, that a tow truck (3rd party) would attend within 4 hours... (by 12pm) waited for them.. again no-one arrived. Called again that evening to was told the tow company arrived at 3pm and tried to call you 4 times! But I didn't answer. My phone does not take voicemails and my phone did not ring- not once. So I asked them to add another contact number to the job (two numbers) and could I have the 3rd party companies number and I will communicate with them directly- because I'm on day 3 and the garage is waiting for my van. The response I got from one call handler was "I can't do anymore!" And hung up on me! Day 4 now- still no recovery!!!!! Avoid.

Been waiting for a patrol car to come out to me since 3pm 16/10/2023 it is now 02:10pm 17/10/2023 and my car window has been open all night! Need I say any more’ Customer services are below average and the Automated voice system that is supposed to help you doesn’t even work correctly. I’m actually lost for words and feel like I have been robbed. Can’t wait for the contract to end.

NEVER BUY RAC NEVER Disgusting, incompetent and waste of time If you can avoid it Never Buy RAC Never Im sat in my care since 2 o’clock this afternoon and its 21:25 now, and still waiting to show up🥵

Estimated 6hour response time. I called a local recovery company who were there within 15 minutes. There can be no excuse for leaving customers stranded for that amount of time. Total waste of money. Needless to say I won’t be renewing my cover.

One of the worst breakdown services I’ve ever experienced. A local company would come faster and do a better job than this unprofessional company which gives people a fake idea about them. I regret buying their breakdown service big time.

Avoid this liar company they are misleading clients sending estimating messages but nobody is way way They are the worst company ever . Never use RAC again . They don’t care about clients that it’s on the road on a cold wind . They are. Very disrespectful . Horrible service and make us wait more then 8 hours for a center London recovery . Very disappointed , my company itself we canceled 18 membership . And never ever ever we use then again Use any other alternative company but never use RAC Rubbish and money waste Samuel

I have had little cause to use my Rac breakdown cover. But on the 3 occasions I have, the customer service is appalling. Long wait times that are forever extended. Difficulty in contacting them. Customer service that is a total shambollic mess. Take my advise, go with the AA or Green Flag. RAC, you ought to be truly ashamed of your repeated poor reviews but nothing changes. It simply get worse.Shame on you.

Jhon the RAC mechanic that arrived he was very friendly and listened to what I had to tell him befor he had a look at my car diagnost the issue an delt with it accordingly

Hi all . Make sure don’t use RAC breakdown, cover Europe this company is absolutely useless. I had fully comprehensive plus I paid extra ! They let me down in Europe. I had a flat tire and called them they said we can’t cover it! AA is the best company in the country!

Don't even deserve 1 star. Refused to come rescue me when my car broke. Claimed I had the wrong policy and needed to pay for a call out. Had to drive a dangerous car home. Not even interested when you phone to complain. Won't cancel unless I pay cancellation fees for a missold policy

have been with the rac for over 20 years and have been great when we needed them; but the premiums have gone up every year. we were offered green flag with our car insurance that costs less for the same type of cover we had with the rac. we received notice from the rac about renewing our automatic renewal; last years premium was £208 this year £250, 20% increase. phoned rac to say we were not renewing this year. they asked how many cars we had, we have one car. they offered a reduced fee as we only have the one car, new quote £180; we have had only one car for 15 years now and they knew it. its about time they looked after their loyal customers.

They don't cover flat tires. Even though it's covered in the policy RAC claim flat tires are driver induced fault and won't help.

My son has broken down in Scotland in the middle of no where he has been there for twos hrs so far. The latest update is that he could be waiting between 5pm and 7pm for someone to attend. I think this is appalling and if someone from the RAC is reading this, get someone out to aid my son in his broken down car,

RAC and RACQ be warned as a disabled pensioner, why would you have Pet Insurance using these unscrupulous and unconscionable cohorts? Whatever possessed me to think showing loyalty and insuring my pet with a company I have two cars and house insurance with was a smart idea! Well, that will now change. I have had Pet Insurance on our 3-year-old Kings Charles Cavalier Pup for 3 years, I made the first claim PP1500290, and of course, the current ear infection is pre existing condition we got her at 7 weeks and we did not buy a 7-week-old pup with ear infections. Watch this space as I now work through all the BS as they try to make me walk away. It will be a blow-by-blow. The only thing that will go ]away is 3 other policies and membership of RAC when it falls due. Well done RAC I think not!

Shockingly bad service. Have been waiting 6 hours (from 2pm) with a text sent giving an update at 4.17pm. It is now 8pm and no sign of arrival. The priority number provided on their website if your ‘safety is at risk’ is not answered. I will be cancelling my membership!

R.A.C Car insurance!!…never again! Put a private plate on admin charge take a plate off admin charge… sell the car, charge charge charge! Don’t mind if the admin charge price reasonable but £55 to cancel your insurance policy is robbery.
