Absolutely Disgusting, RAC warranty must avoid as They would find from any angle Not To Pay you, Absolutely Avoid, Avoid Avoid Avoid Bunch of liars sitting behind the screen trained well how to say "This is not covered". We must mention this at every platform to Boycott these people. Thank you

Broke down yesterday,Thursday at 3pm.Im still waiting..it’s 6am Friday!…they have abandoned me and I’ve had no updates or contact….this is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with…and they should not be allowed to operate..

Currently still waiting. It’s been 9hours. Reported the breakdown at 14:34 it is now 22:55 and still no one here. In a vehicle I can’t start so no heating. 1degree outside now and still not a priority. I will be going elsewhere next year.

Absolute sham of a company. The company I work for has thankfully finally seen sense and left them as they can’t afford to pay people to sit in a broken down van at the side of the road all day. They left me at the side of the M25 from 4pm until 1am in winter in a van with a snapped timing belt so no heat. If they were honest I wouldn’t walked to the services but they just kept promising they’d be 45 minutes. All their recovery trucks seem to be subbed out which doesn’t help as they obviously lie to RAC to get the jobs. This isn’t a one off, we used to panic when we broke down as we knew we’d be stranded for the day.

RAC technician John (north east) was brilliant. Turned up quickly then spent time trying to find a garage that could take the car in. Most places wouldn't take it until January 23rd Thanks John

Wont be paying for their service any more following a bad experience with them considering I was classed as a priority call .will go back to green fla or AA to see if they fair any better when next renewal due .Complaints have been sent to RAC and am waiting for a reply to my points made and resulting investigation .

Complaint letter to the RAC… I would like to complain about the dreadful service I received earlier this week. After standing outside for a few days over the cold weather my car refused to start when I attempted to return home. As the temperature was below freezing it soon flattened the battery (which is essentially in very good condition). I had no alternative but to phone for assistance from you, a service I have paid for for around 40 years and rarely use. My call was placed with you around 12:15 on Monday 4th December and was informed that I could expect someone to attend between 15:00 and 17:00. This would have been a lengthy wait and outside of the 60 minutes your website claims “We get to most breakdowns in 60 mins or less”. However your recorded, and I now suspect standard. message told me you were unusually busy. As the afternoon progressed the expected time gradually increased every time I refreshed the app. This leads me to think that such estimates were in no way relating calls to resources and I was not in fact included in any plan for service. You will recall that Monday was particularly cold and it was constantly raining. also bearing in mind that your advice is to stand by the roadside away from the car I was in danger of hyperthermia. Even sat in the car it was extremely cold. By late afternoon when it had gone dark and the expected attendance time had moved to 6.56pm to 8.56pm (I wiould like to know why your system claims to be able to estimate to exact minutes but still has a range of 2 hours) I called my wife to come in her car to provide somewhere warm and dry to shelter. She drove the nearly 40 miles and continued to stay with me awaiting your imminent arrival. The ETA still crept up eventually reaching between 11:30pm and 01:30 at which time I abamdined hope and prepared to leave but just as we were setting off I received a call from your engineer to say he was 15 minutes away. He eventually arrived around 9:00pm. After spending some time with the car he decided he was unable to help and we would need recovery. Due to the excessive wait I had already suffered he advised that we could arrange a convenient time the following day and we would be contacted to arrange this. I returned home leaving the car at the side of the road. Overnight no text was received but the app said that my car would be collected between 08:00 and 12:00 so still just a wild guess but nevertheless I got my wife to help get me to the car and resume my wait. As I am familiar with car mechanics to some extent I suspected that the problem may lie with the cold damaging the ignition coil for which I had a spare. I took this with me and fitted it whereupon I managed to start the engine. I saw no prospect of anything being promised by the RAC actually materialising so made my way home. Out of interest I did not cancel the incident until 16:00 by which time the app was telling me that you had identified the resource necessary to help but now offered no ETA at all. When cancelling the call I expressed my disappointment with the service and said I wnted to complain. I was given two choices, email or speak to the complaints department, I chose the latter. I was put through to another recorded message telling me how important you felt my call was but still failed to answer it. I waited listening to the recordings for some 15 minutes before geing given aniother message saying this service was no longer available and the call terminated. I have only recently renewed my policy with you but now feel that even the full refund of this would be little compensation for the 27 hours you left me abandoned and had it not been for my wife helping I might still be there. There response £60 compensation.

RAC insurance Recoveries are lowlife bottom feeding scum, they insure someone who pulled out in front of me at a stop sign and I had nowhere to go except hit them in the drivers side rear and because I didn’t have insurance they tell me I’m at fault, probably because I don’t have the backing of a large company like them so they think they can bully me. Dog scum’s. Now I’m told to put my version in writing and they will assess it and decide on it, yeah right like they’re going to be an impartial judge of the accident and find themselves liable to pay. It takes a real lowlife person to work for a lowlife company and treat people like this and if they think they can intimidate me as though they’re a law unto themselves think again because I’m digging in for a fight to the end and I’m happy to have someone like a judge in court deciding as they have no vested interest to bluer impartiality unlike a scumbag lowlife heartless insurance company like RAC. They should stick to breakdown service where they do a good job and leave strong arm standover tactics to the underworld

My Daughter waited for hours at roadside for hours,then phoned and told her they werent coming.Disgusting money motivated company.Absolutely scum company that leaves a young female stranded!!!! Do not waste your money as they may not bother turning up!

Left stranded with my vulnerable wife and child in the backwater that is Marylebone Road (central London). Around 5 hours until assisted. No updates in this time. RAC refused to come out when I logged a call out the following day (obviously my car still wasn't working). Appauling customer service during the process and now I'm being harassed for fees after I cancelled my subscription. I've worked hard all my life and built up a good credit rating but the RAC are threatening me with debt recovery agencies. I've written to CEO on numerous occasions, got one unsatisfactory reply, but I'm now being ghosted. All I want is acknowledge and for my subscription to be cancelled with me having to pay for this.

I have never been over a month late on my payments. I may have been late on one or two payments here and there I have two payments a month with RAC. I'm late on one payment and the manager talks to me like he is a mob boss. Very disrespectful. I will never do business with this company again.

Absolutely disgraceful!! Car won’t start in car park with two young children and one an asthma, that we forgot to bring his inhaler. Was told it would be two hours and now the update is four hours. Phone back and was told to get a lift home to get my child’s inhaler and come back to car. The operator said since we are in a save place and it’s still daylight we are not at risk. What wonderful news to hear that asthma attacks and a female with two young children feeling vulnerable is only acceptable when it’s dark. Will definitely be cancelling this membership.

DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE RAC COVER WITH MY NISSAN NAVARA MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY EXPECTED wait 24HRS AND NOTHING it's been since 4pm and up all night waiting to be told eta 4pm next day, . ALL YOU GET IS WE ARE TRYING VERY BUSY AFTER TWO MANAGERS CALLING ME AND ALL YOU GET IS "IF IF IF IF" AND "WE ARE TRYING WE ARE TRYING" AND "SORRY SORRY SORRY" and that's with me being put on "HIGH PRIORITY" RAC SAVE PEOPLE THE PAIN AND LIQUIDATE YOUR COMPANY you can't fulfil your service's you say you can provide. EVERYONE READING TRY USING AA!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully you'll get a better experience and less pain just waiting for 24hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAC EMPLOY MORE ENGINEERS TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE LOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE YOUR PAYING YOUR STAFF WELL TO BE ABLE TO COPE WITH THE LEVEL OF STRESS YOU PUT YOUR STAFF THROUGH TO SUPPLY A SERVICE YOU CANT PROVIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paid for cover only to find out that they now charge a 40 pound out call out fee. To then find out that they were going to take four and a half hours to come out which is an absolute disgrace for such a big company definitely won't be using these guys again.

Reported my car breakdown at about 16:30 They kept on forwarding the time l decided to go home causechad left the kids had to cancel work at about 21:59 got a call that we will be at the car in 5 minutes booked a taxi which said wait 17 minutes 22:24 the engineer called and said he can not wait any further cause the law does not allow him to so will book the job for the next morning. ALL NEIBOURS ASK ME WHY DIDNT YOU TAKE AA have been using AA for the past 15 years and had never seen such service once my insurance runs out will renew with company that uses AA

Left me stranded twice now. In freezing cold conditions. 1st time on motorway DANGEROUS CONDITION in the freezing cold. 8&half HR wait. Even the traffic patrol cars felt sorry and let us sit in their car to warm up and gave foil blankets. 2nd time left me stranded again 1hr from home freezing cold conditions. I have onward travel. Makes no use. Unless their patrol car comes out 1st. Said could be 6 hrs and after call back several times. They tell me not likely gonna happen today. The manager says everytime no help can be provided u til patrol car comes. BUT NO PATROL CAR IS COMING Unbelievable they can do this to people!! Stay away and stay alive. Even their own patrol cars have said. Someone will have to die before they do something.
