“I ordered a pair of Vasque Breeze boots from SportsShoes.com, expecting them to match the dark brown tones shown in their product images. What I received was a completely different color—a much lighter grey. When I contacted customer service about the discrepancy, they refused to provide a prepaid return label, hiding behind their Terms & Conditions about "monitor variations." This was not a minor color shift due to screen settings—it was a clear misrepresentation. Despite my complaint, they ignored the issue and made me pay for the return myself. I’ve since seen that other customers have been allowed to return worn trainers months after purchase, so it seems their policies are applied inconsistently or at the discretion of individual staff. I will not be shopping with SportsShoes.com again and will warn others to be cautious when ordering from them. If accurate product images matter to you, be prepared for disappointment—and to pay for their mistakes.”

“I've used them for years and swore by them for great prices and fantastic customer service. That's changed massively over the last couple of years. I've had two incidents one was ordering shoes for my son that were in the sale I was then emailed to be told they weren't available after having ordered and paid for them. The other colour way was much more expensive. There was no attempt at a goodwill gesture. The second was I bought a pair of Adidas adiós pro2 which were damaged after only a few miles. They were admittedly 6 months old. Though they were only worn for races and had less than fifty miles. I contacted customer support who asked for pics and video to be sent which I duly did and was then guided through the return procedure. I had options for different couriers and I chose evri as that was easiest. My shoes were "delivered" according to the evri app. However sportshoes said they hadn't received them. Basically after several emails including screenshots and sending link to my evri parcel showing delivered the company stance was to wait up to 21 days. Even after this period nothing was done. Eventually when I posted on sportshoes social media page stating my dissatisfaction, surprisingly my case was dealt with. I was left feeling really sad as I have used them for over 12 years and recommended them to so many people. Unless I see a real bargain now I use other companies now. A shame as they were fabulous previously”

“Poor. I’d upload a picture if I could I’d upload a picture if I could. Bought a watch for over £200 as a gift and it arrived with their warehouse sticker over the main image on the front as a huge barcode with writing. When I emailed asking if they could exchange for a box that wasn’t as unsightly and ruined (you cant remove the sticker without damaging the front) they (Beckie) said I can return it by paying the postage fee at my expense and was adamant there was nothing else they could do. That the sticker was there for the warehouse. Why not put the sticker in a less I slightly place. Common sense. I’d buy direct from Coros next time!”

“I bought Adidas Gore-Tex shoes from SportsShoes and the first pair proved to be defective and were sent back. After this I tried the second pair they sent out and they caused horrible pain in baby toe. I wore them once with no damage but tried to contact about return. They said my feet were too wide and it is not a defect in the shoe. I asked, why this didn't happen with the last pair - in which they kept coming back to your feet must be too wide. Seriously if you can't wear the shoes because they cause physical pain should you not return a customer's money - apparently SportsShoes say no - they will examine them in if they are defective they will replace but otherwise they don't want to know. Please take my advice - do not buy from this company.”

“Terrible service. Their "experts" said a pair of scarpa trainers fit a half size larger. They didn't they were standard sizing and if anything actually smaller and tighter than any normal shoe. Returns aren't free even in this case where their advice led to me getting a pair of ill fitting hiking trainers. Won't shop with them again for as much as a pair of socks.”

“Paid nearly £10 for nominated day deliver (Saturday). Tracking says arriving between the Saturday or Sunday. BEWARE!!!. Called their customer service line and was told one moment please. Lots of background noise. The guy basically never came back to the phone and all included hear was what sounded like 3 or 4 different customer service calls being handled. Awful. Avoid!”

“Bought a pair of trainers that were faulty. Checked with manufacturer and they were still under warranty. Sportsshoes (SS) were contacted and offered advice and then sent a shipping label to print got me to return the shoes. Was a lot of hassle for me to have to return a product that was faulty. The process should needs addressing to make it easier for customers”
