“The tickets were way overpriced…. I checked out the tickets at the venue where the concert was held and they were half the price and much easier to get!!!”
“ELO cancelled last minute in Phoenix due to a band member being sick.
We could not get a refund for the tickets as we had a trip planned for the new date. Because the tickets were bought by someone on Ticketmaster they could have got the $800 refund. We could not!!
Stub Hub is a scam!”
“Absolutely terrible customer service and PREDATORY fees! I sold tickets for $1556 (4 of them) and only received $942. THATS 40% !!!!!! Very deceptive which is why Canada has banned that practice and they have been sued. Not only that, they posted my tickets twice and sold them to two different people. How is that even possible? They were VERY specific tickets however it’s almost like they don’t want you fulfill orders so they get to charge you additional. I wonder if their CEO is Bernie Madoff!
Avoid at all costs!!! Ticketmaster isn’t great however they are only 10-15%!! Never again”
“They cancelled the concert and rescheduled it for a week before Christmas!! The tickets were super expensive and I’m pregnant and can’t travel because I’ll be too big! They refuse to give me a refund. I will never buy from this company again, that’s for sure.”
“They had a duplicate $90+ dollar parking ticket that I did NOT ORDER on my order with a separate order number. Three hours, emails, and calls and still not resolved. Customers should not be treated like I was today.”
“Tried to sell tickets on StubHub made four different phone calls. Talk to four different people got four different answers end up getting charged for my tickets. They sold my tickets to two different people. I delivered my tickets to the first person. Sorry I ran out of tickets 😂 Didn’t know they were going to sell it twice. Not my fault. Now they want to charge me for the full price of the tickets plus $100 absolutely ridiculous. StubHub is not the way to go. It’s a rip off. This is the second time I’ve had trouble with it. I am done with them.”
“Stub Hub does not stand by their guarantee!!! I literally went through hell with them with tickets I purchased for a show and NEVER RECEIVED!! I called EVERY DAY, got a different person who said "Oh yes, we've escalated your order and will call you back tommorow"..Which they NEVER ONCE CALLED BACK!!! When the day of the show came and I still did not have the tickets, I was in tears because others depended on me. All they said was "Well all that's left now is lawn seats". I was livid. AND..Not only did I have to pay the $1,000 for the original tickets, they went ahead and charged me for the lawn seats ($600) as well without my permission!!
They are the worst. Once you purchase through them, GOOD LUCK!!! My experience was a nightmare!!”
“Never again. The only reason a company like this can exist is trust. They burned that and after traveling to the event we still didn't have tix, no one to call and we ended up spending $200 .pre at the event to get real paper tix. No refund they could care less. Do it at your own risk and remember you are helping to fund their lavish lifestyle while they can even bother to provide a real human for customer service when problems with tix transfers happen.”
“The most frustrating customer service I have ever experienced. I purchased tickets through stubhub that somehow ended up being invalid. I made several attempts to contact them from the venue, but was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do. After missing the event, I contacted them about a refund. After jumping through every hoop they requested, I was given the runaround. I was told it was under investigation, and would be 7-10 days. I was told that again 10 days later. Then, unsurprisingly, told that yet again 10 days later. It has become clear that they have no intention to correct this situation, so I will have to accept the loss on this one or make this a legal matter. Either way, I have lost all faith in this company. If you plan to purchase through this company, please understand that once they have your money, your experience is no longer a priority for them, and they will do nothing to rectify mistakes on their end. Good luck.”
“I purchased 2 Football tickets for Hard Rock Field and 1 parking pass - I noticed after that I was also charged for 2 parking passes (their error glitch in system/ would not refund me my $117 - customer service was soooorude was calling me names etc - stay away from Stubhub - try seat geek Mych better customer service”
“I recently had a very disappointing experience with StubHub. I ordered tickets for a show, only for it to be canceled. To my surprise, StubHub falsely advertised that the show was postponed, contradicting the venue’s website, which clearly stated it was canceled. I had to jump through hoops, providing multiple forms of verification about the cancellation as if I were an employee of the company. After providing a link and a picture, I was told to wait to be contacted. It has now been over 10 days, and I’m still waiting for a refund for this canceled concert. This experience has been frustrating, and I expected better customer service from StubHub.”
“StubHub has been a frustrating experience from start to finish. First off, their customer service is nearly non-existent. When I encountered an issue with my ticket order, it took ages to get a response, and when I finally did, the representative seemed uninformed and unhelpful.
The website itself is often glitchy, making it difficult to navigate and complete purchases. I also found that the ticket prices were misleading; additional fees were tacked on at checkout, which made the total much higher than initially advertised. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic.
To make matters worse, I received tickets that were not as described. They were listed as "best available," but they turned out to be in the farthest corner of the venue, with a limited view. When I tried to address this, I was met with vague responses and no real solution.
Overall, my experience with StubHub has been incredibly disappointing. I expected much better service and transparency, but instead, I was left feeling frustrated and cheated. I would not recommend using StubHub for ticket purchases.”
“DO NOT USE STUBHUB. I bought tickets two months ago and they said that they would be delivered DAY OF. now that it’s the day of, still had not received tickets. Called and they said there were no tickets available. Absolutely terrible. Booked a hotel and drove hours to be at this game and now all wasted. DO NOT USE STUBHUB”
“I purchased tickets to Durham Performance Art Center thru Stubhub. I get to the event and tickets are unavailable. Would not recommend this cutlet are unreliable.”
“I sold my ticket through viagogo and the buyer from stubhub, both companies are related.
I couriered the tickets on time but non payment to me from viagogo, month after event took place. Also, I have contacted viagogo by emails and live chats but nothing progress /no responsive.”
“Listed tickets I had to sell.. they were invisible because the app lists preferred sellers.. so my ticket listing was virtually invisible..don't list here..terrible”
“The only reason I gave stub hub a one is that zero was not available! I purchased a ticket for Taylor swift concert. I was issued a email confirming my purchase then received another email a day later that they had cancelled the transaction. By this time I had flown to Toronto and had no ticket. ii tried to purchase a new ticket but by this point ticket prices had doubled making them cost prohibitive. I did not see the show I had waited to see for a long time. The level of disappointment and dissatisfaction is beyond words! I will NEVER use Stub Hub again. I believe their shady business practices should be investigated.”
“Purchased tickets for the Nascar final race 7 months prior and the seller never sent our tickets. Planned our entire trip around it and couldn't even go. Pathetic company and I will never use them again and make sure everyone I know doesn't. We did receive our money back after yelling, stress, being hung up on and hours and hours on the phone with customer service. Didn't care about the money wanted to attend the event.”
