“I sold Boston Bruins tickets on StubHub. they provided very little information about how he buyer. they told me the wrong info about the buyer. they told me that I had to sell them on TICKETMASTER since that was the point of purchase. again they gave me the wrong information. the buyer put a calm of $280 against me for not sending the tickets. I was on the phone for hours between STUBHUBB and TICKET MASTER. they kept telling me to call the other. ABSOLUTELY horrible customer service. NEVER will do business with them again.”
“Bought tickets to a Darlene Love concert for Nov 30th. The concert was cancelled. I was told it may be rescheduled and the only way I could get my money back was if it was cancelled. They were rude and very short with me on the phone.
Will never use them again.”
“Yo compre tickets para fuerza regida 2 meses antes y el mero dia del concierto me dicen que mis tickets siempre no me los podian dar y me regresaron mi dinero los pendejos y mi hija se quedo sin ir por su culpa y mi dinero todabia no me llega que hasta 10 dias son una basura de compania”
“DO NOT TRUST STUBHUB
In May 2024 | purchased 2 seats for a Seahawks Vs 49's fame in 10/12/24 for $1676.41 from StubHub (electronic tickets) In July 2024 | purchased 2 Seahawks Tunnel Experience Tickets at $1000 each -$2000
total. Tickets into VIP section AFTER you get into the game. On 10/08/24 my 3-yr old grandson was sent via air ambulance for emergency medical treatment. Due to this, we did not travel to the game and instead exercised our option to resell the mobile tickets. On 10/10/24 l listed the tickets on the original site- StubHub. Within hours, I received emails that the tickets were sold and I followed the instructions to transfer the tickets. Email confirmation states the tickets were received by the buyer and l'd receive payment within 5 days. Also on 10/10/24, I rec'd another StubHub email stating that I did not provide proper tickets and the sale was cancelled which resulted in a charge of $600 to my credit card I had on file with StubHub. On 10/14/24 | called StubHub, spoke with Lakiya, Henry and Emmanuel-all of whom advised that the tickets I purchased from StubHub was invalid AND that even if I had traveled from Maui, HI I too would have been denied entrance. All Reps advised the case was escalated and a full refund is due to me. I made numerous follow up calls to StubHub and finally on 10/25/24 | rec'd 2
STUBHUB emails stating that refunds were approved and would be received within 5-8 days. On 10/30/24 | rec'd another email asking me to provide proof of tickets, an affidavit that I was denied entrance into the game and more. I recd an additional 3 emails thereafter regarding the same. I was unable to upload the requested info due to error messages 'systems were down.
It’s been a crapshow, run around. DO NOT
USE STUBHUB”
“I would rate this experience zero stars if I could. I purchased tickets advertised as a Disney Musical. Every confirmation I received specified it as such, and even my StubHub account listed it as a Musical. However, on the day of the event, I finally received my tickets—far too late in my opinion—and when I checked them, they actually described an orchestra concert. To make matters worse, the concert was not recommended for children due to its dark interpretation of the Disney story. This is a huge difference between a family-friendly Disney Musical and an event explicitly unsuitable for kids.
I immediately called StubHub as soon as I realized the issue. I spoke with a representative named Martin, who assured me it was likely a misprint and confirmed that the event would indeed be a Musical. He even stated that if it turned out not to be, I would be eligible for a full refund. Unfortunately, my worst fears were realized—it was a concert, not the Musical we expected. It was extremely disappointing for my 5-year-old daughter, for whom this was meant to be a special early Christmas gift.
I called StubHub again today, and a different representative informed me that the tickets were non-refundable. She claimed there was no evidence that my purchase confirmation listed it as a Musical, even though I provided all relevant details showing otherwise. This is incredibly frustrating and reflects poor business practices. I strongly urge others: do not buy tickets from StubHub.
I've included a screenshot of the original vs. what StubHub changed my account to show.”
“I put tickets with ADA accessible mark on them. Stubhub said it doesn't show on their side and so the buyer returned the tickets to them. Stubhub charged me $54 and won't return my ticket saying the tickets where voided. So they will not pay me $489 either. This is all a scam. They sold them and made money and charged me $54 on top of it. SCAMMED by STUB HUB”
“Do not buy from stub hub nor the person who selling section 118
We got here from north carolina, stayed at a nice hotel for 2 days . Went to access 3 tickets that we purchase in June were not available
We look on the website the seller was trying to resell our tickets for a higher price
Stubhub did nothing”
“I’ve purchased 3 times through the download app and received my tickets within a matter of minutes along with an email. The tickets were for a college football games along with parking tickets. I had zero problems and no hidden fees. The best part is that I also saved money too. Other apps were charging me double. I’m completely confused about all the negative reviews, I suppose I’ve been super lucky!”
“Bought tickets 10 days in advance. Never received any update or tickets but when I called, they assured me the tickets or comparable tickets would be available. Drove 2 hours to the venue. Planned a pre-show dinner with my four other family members near the venue but was on the phone with StubHub customer service the entire time, sitting in the foyer of the restaurant. Ultimately, no tickets from StubHub. In a happy turn of events, I told my story to the folks in the restaurant who picked up the phone and got me five tickets 20 minutes before showtime. StubHub, never again. And I’m telling everyone I meet. The restaurant has my business for life. And I’m telling everyone I meet.”
“Absolutely horrible!!! I was sick and had to sell my ticket for an Adele concert. The website said that there is a buyer interested in my ticket, but the buyer’s payment is under investigation. For 4 hours they blocked my ticket, and when I asked for my ticket back, they told me that they can’t give it back. They just stole my ticket and never paid any money for it. Absolute crooks!!!!”
“Just Terrible.
Bought tickets for college football game two months ago in another State and arranged to have family fly in. Night before event, was told the seats we bought were no longer available and were offered “alternative” seats by the seller which were significantly worse. We did not agree to this and were told a link would be sent to use with other options which never came and that the issue would be escalated (never happened). We called the customer service line several times and each time each time was like “ground hog day”. Never had issues remotely as poorly handled buying / selling tickets on Seat geeks or Ticketmaster.
I have not written a negative review in over 10 years but our interaction with this company compelled me to try to alert folks how bad they are.”
“Well it's an automatic one start when you get hung up on they do nothing for me to give me no information don't waste your money pay the extra $10 for the seat from somebody else their quote ticket purchase to seat is fake and not true do not waste your money here I again do not waste your money here multiple bad experiences”
“Absolutely Horrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs!
From a buyer's perspective: I purchased tickets to a play for my family, but 60 minutes before the show, I received a call saying the seller had decided not to sell the tickets after all. According to their policy, they are supposed to find replacement tickets, but despite other seats being available (albeit in better and more expensive sections), they refused to provide them. I had no choice but to buy from a different vendor at 300% of the original price just to avoid missing the show we were already en route to.
From a seller's perspective: I sold tickets and delivered them on time, with proof that the buyer received them. However, I was hit with a "canceled tickets fee" of nearly $200. After providing evidence and spending almost five hours in chats and on phone calls, I’m still fighting to get my money back—six weeks later! They even acknowledged in writing that it was a mistake, yet keep insisting "nothing can be done until it's approved." No one can tell me how long that will take.
This company is beyond incompetent and unethical. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away!”
“Do not get your tickets from Stubhub. They were only able to refund me 25% not even to my card but credit with them which I will avoid using. I had bought 2 tickets for a concert and only sent one. I had to buy another ticket at the door. BIG FAIL!”
“Stubhub changed the listing price from $ 1,500 to $400. They sold less than 5 minutes and I called to dispute within 20 minutes. They charged my card and would not refund. This is robbery.”
“before i start i did not want to even give 1 star, so ignore that and imagine i could put NEGATIVE 50 STARS. do not and i mean DO NOT buy from stubhub. they swear up and down that they are legit and they do “checks on sellers” if you ask them and they can check if they are legit. regardless of if they are or not they will tell they are legit because they are liars. i bought tickets to a concert today back in april and i was promised multiple times by stubhub support that they checked the seller and i will 100% be getting my tickets on the day of. which i did receive my tickets only for the accept tickets button to not work. and you’d think you could contact stubhub support for help.. but NO. they do NOT care. they do NOT do their job. they continued to be rude to us even after the initial pickup of the phone they were instantly rude. and when we rightfully asked to speak to a supervisor we were told no by 3 out of the 4 people we spoke to and the last one we didn’t even try to get a supervisor that time bc we knew it wouldn’t work and 2 of them literally hung up on us!!!!!! like they do not do their job. they do not care. i wanted to speak with someone who cared but every person i tried was an awful person. they don’t care about their own ticket policy and honoring it. we asked for new tickets and they told us no. so we waited in line all day in hopes of getting barricade to our favorite singer only to have to leave the line and go home after being there for 7 hours because stubhub did not care and did not help us get “comparable or better tickets” according to their own policy. as well as when they were clearly talking to my boyfriend, they kept misgendering him and he corrected them EVERY SINGLE TIME and they continued ignore him and say “ma’am” which is blatant transphobia. so on top of not getting tickets we spent $900 on, we had to deal with transphobia in 2024. i am in absolute shock by this website and how it is run. this website is a scam. DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM STUBHUB! STUBHUB DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! STUBHUB IS A SCAM RUN BY RUDE INCELS!”
“I’m incredibly disappointed in my recent experience with StubHub. After being assured of a full charge reversal due to a confusing transaction, StubHub’s support team has gone back on their word, refusing to honor their initial commitment. Every time I reach out, I receive the same generic, copy-pasted response, with no actual resolution or escalation.
This lack of accountability feels unprofessional and is especially disappointing given the high fees StubHub charges. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, both buying and selling tickets, and expected a reputable company to stand by its commitments. If StubHub values its long-term customers, they should address this issue, rather than push it aside with scripted responses.
I’d advise others to be cautious when dealing with StubHub. If an issue arises, there’s no guarantee they’ll make it right – and getting any meaningful support may be more frustrating than it’s worth. I hope they address these issues before more customers have similar experiences.”
