“The worst delivery company I have ever had the misfortune to experience, and I've dealt with many.
They do not deliver when they say (this has happened to me 4 times with them now and counting), they never answer their calls (I have made over 35, over the past few weeks), they do not respond to messages left or emails (I have left several).
When my first order finally turned up it was battered and torn to pieces, leaving the item inside damaged. The driver just shrugged his shoulders and said that it wasn't his usual route.
I hope company's stop using these people as they are just terrible.”
“Very bad, I mean this kind of services shouldn't be allowed to get to the public. Waiting for a delivery over a week, every day in the morning i can see it on their website that its on the way to me, after few hours shows that my item is still in delivery depot, I've even took a day off work to stay at home and wait for my package, it didn't show up, after a phone call to their office I've been told that they have been in my place but no one opened the door, which is a big lie. I've lost a day waiting for them. They should disappear from the market. Hate companies like that...”
“XPD... does this stand for Xtra Delayed Parcels?
It would appear my items whereabouts is top secret, not even they know where it is!
I was emailed with a delivery slot on the 23rd December, I waited in for it, nobody turned up.
I figured there is probably a lot of traffic and deliveries etc as its christmas, so i wasn't too bothered, I thought perhaps it will arrive tomorrow, nothing showed up the next day either.
contacted XDP on the 29th December, who may as well have said they don't give a s**t, not even an apology, they said they didn't know what had happened and why it was not delivered but deliveries would commence on the 4th January and they would request my parcel is delivered that day............. nothing arrived.
Contacted XDP on the 6th January thanking them for the very (non existent) sincere apology I received from them and that my item still hadn't arrived........ they didn't bother to reply.
Contacted XDP on the 9th January, I even asked them to confirm that my item had not gone missing. I got a reply on the Monday stating I would receive my parcel on the 12th....... nothing showed up.
Its now the 13th January and the tracking showed it would be delivered today between 3:51 and 6:51............... it never showed!
I feel its very misleading giving XDP one star but unfortunately this is the minimum you're allowed rate.
Avoid this company, unless you want to be super organised and send your Christmas gifts 11 months early to ensure they get there on time.”
“Waited over a week for my delivery, the company that used XDP to send my item have told me my item was signed for, so the driver probably left it outside and made a signature themself , no card through my door or anything.
Surely they will go out of business soon if they carry on like this, cowboy express!”
“As noted by other reviewers, the time slots are pointless - I have waited in all afternoon twice now with no shows. The tracking system no longer seems to be tracking my parcel, and I have no idea what has happened to it or when/if it will ever be delivered. The company does not reply to emails, and their phone-line is a premium rate, meaning you would be charged 59p a minute to find out about your delivery or complain. Incredibly poor service.”
“My next day delivery is now three days late. I have left 4 messages on customer services but no one gets back to me.. This company is a joke. I will never use them”
“I've been waiting nearly a month for my mattress and still no sign of it. The tracking system is completely pointless. I strongly advise you avoid the scam of a company.”
“If I could give a zero rating for this company I would. I ordered an item of furniture on line on 6th December and the company despatched my goods on 7th December. XDP showed my delivery on their 'tracking' page as scheduled for delivery on 8th December. Great, I thought, very efficient. No delivery on the 8th December or since. I tried to ring them on several occasions - they don't answer the phone; all you get is a recorded message saying "your call is important to us". Yeah, right! I also e-mailed three times. Eventually I rang the company I had ordered from and they contacted XDP (after numerous attempts) on my behalf and arranged for urgent delivery of my purchase. It would help if XDP stated on their tracking page where the parcel is situated - give a depot name, not just a number. At least I'd have a clue how close or how far away the delivery is. I might even be able to go and get it myself! I'm loath to order anything else from the company concerned if they continue to use XDP for delivery. It's such a hassle!”
“My parcel was delivered in the time slot given. I could track it's progress from the time of arrival at the depot. I have no complaints at all with XDP. I must add that I am not an employee nor am I related to anyoone connected with the firm, I am an ordinary customer.
First class service.

“When will businesses wake up and STOP USING THIS COMPANY?! They do not offer a service, they offer a joke, a headache, a complete lack of respect.
I received a text on the 19th November "We have collected your order. Delivery info will follow on receipt at our delivery depot. Call 0843 1782222 for more info".
I have called this number everyday since. First few occasions it hadn't arrived at the depot. I rang on the 24th to be informed it had arrived at the depot the day before. Where was my phone call? In terms of delivery they wouldn't give me an answer.
I rang on the 25th and was informed I would be called back with an answer 20mins later... I am still waiting for that phone call.
I rang again on the 26th and for some reason was put through to the Birmingham branch (I'm in Manchester) who couldn't tell me anything.
I rang on the 27th and was told delivery had been booked in for the Saturday 28th. Now this surprised me as on the 20th I was informed my item was being delivered by a two man service who didn't work weekends, and because it was being delivered by the two man service that they would call to arrange delivery with me...
I was informed that they only worked Saturday mornings. Great!! When I asked for a more specific time the "customer service" man (who wouldn't know customer service if it smacked him in the face) rudely told me to ring back at 10am the next day (notice at no point have I received ANY communication from them).
On the 28th I rang XDP at 9am, when the call was finally answered I was told my mattress would be delivered between 3 and 6pm... I laughed hysterically as I hung up.
Will my mattress arrive? Who knows. I'm not holding my breath. And after reading the other complaints I don't hold much hope.
TIP of the day: when you are asked to leave a message press the # key at the end, then 2, followed my 1 followed by 2 and eventually you will speak to someone... May take 30mins.”
“have waited until now to post this review as I was still under contract with XDP for a period of time after leaving there employment.
This review is not posted by an aggrieved ex employee but by a concerned member of the public who wishes to bring to the attention of customers past and present the way XDP do business. I am not entirely sure how long this review will remain on this site. Rest assured that if it is removed then this review will appear on other sites to bring the general public up to speed on how XDP treat customers and there goods whilst they are in XDP's possession.
XDP as they state on there website "www,xdp.co.uk" one of the largest independently owned parcel delivery networks in the United Kingdom, they manually sort parcels at all there franchise and corporate depots nationwide. At the hub based in Birmingham is where all goods are sent on a nightly basis to be manually sorted and transported back to corresponding depots the following morning for delivery. Although there are a few depots that are well managed and well run there are numerous depots that are badly run with even worse staff and dodgy working practices.
In my time there I have witnessed parcels being left in depots for days on end WITHOUT any attempts to deliver. Parcels being run over by fork trucks with absolutely no care taken on customers expensive goods and the way goods will be presented to customers at the door step. I have witnessed goods being left without the signature of the consignee and then drivers forging consignee signatures. Furthermore I have witnessed customers goods being thrown from one end of depots to the other, There have been lots of XDP's customers who have left due to poor service that has been received and huge amounts of damage to their goods. XDP do not care about the end user or there customers all there interest in is making money.
XDP employee highly suspicious individuals one whom I will not name on here, although I will state is the Regional Manager for Scotland has recently been liberated from the Scottish Prison Service for Tachograph offences (these offences can be searched online) this individual is now back in the employment of XDP in his old role. Subcontractors, current employees have been employed by XDP without any security clearance checks and allowed to handle customers goods and in some cases steal those goods too. XDP do employ a private security company to investigate theft however they are not in the least professional and I would seriously question there methods.
Criminal actions do not just relate to workers within some of there depots, a director found himself arrested when he got in to a vehicle at the companies head office, who wilfully reversed one of his vehicles into a travellers caravan who had parked his vehicle at the back of the companies HQ.
I could go on but do not want to sound bitter. This is a truthful account on the way XDP do business and I thank you for taking the time to read this.
Finally I would like to add that XDP will certainly attempt to have this review removed. All of the information that I have published is true and this information is what I would wilfully repeat in court under oath if needed.”
“Three different delivery time slots given on as many days. No deliver received any of the promised days and times. Phones Customer Services 11 times, no one responded or returned the call; emailed .....same none response. Still waiting for my delivery. The worst delivery company I have ever experienced. When things go wrong, they totally ignore customers and couldn't care less. Pathetic !!!!!!”
“Do not use this company. 0 communication and atrocious customer service. Waited all day for my parcel after being given a time slot; never came.
Have emailed at least 4 times; no response. Proceeded to phone the customer service helpline; no response.
Not a happy customer.”
“I received my 3h period for delivery on Thursday between 3:47-6:47 I have been waiting until 8pm and I didn't even received a call or email telling me there was not going to deliver my item. Friday after sending 6 emails with no answer I decided to call the company with the same luck NO ANSWER!!!! finally fitness superstore got in touch with them and I received an email telling me my delivery will arrive on Saturday "free of charge" I said to them: can you please tell me a time as I don't want to be waiting all day again? They couldn't tell me a specific hour. On Saturday I have been waiting until 4pm and again nothing( no emails, calls advising me there where not going to deliver) now it's Monday and again no email or anything telling when is my delivery going to be at my house. Please advise for future customers! The customer services from XPD are disgusting.”
“After spending all day indoors waiting and no delivery on date specified, calling XDP next day (costing £5.70!!!) to find out where parcels were, told they only had 3 of the 4 parcels and they would put me on express delivery free of charge for next day as they had me waiting in for 2 days, XDP had already delivered parcels to completely wrong address, leaving large heavy parcels with a very elderly lady with poor vision. This company cost me money, time and it seems employs illiterate drivers. No apology was offered, no responsibility taken and no refund for the unnecessary time spent on phone because of their mistakes. Avoid, even Royal Mail can do better!”
“XPD Emailed info when item was going to be delivered BUT Failed to deliver item .
Emailed customer service Promised delivery for a 2nd time of arrival and guess what still no sign of delivery.
Phoned customer services 6 times only to get a recorded message each time.
I still have not received my item so will be asking for a full refund from the seller of this item.
Advice to all who read this Avoid this delivery company .Please read other feedback on this delivery company ,(should have read them before buying the item)”
