“A total disaster from start to finish. They didn’t turn up for the first two slots. Then they said they had lost the item at the warehouse. On the third time, a courier turned up late with the wrong item. He was very rude and reluctant to take back the item, implying that it was my fault! I had to persuade him to take it away. The next time, they didn’t turn up again. I had cancelled appointments to stay in and was at home all day. The next day, I checked their tracker and found out that it was recorded as delivery refused! You can only contact them by e mail or a very expensive premium phone number. I had to make all the running and get in touch with them constantly. I can’t imagine why any companies deal with them with such a record. Avoid. I would give zero stars if I could.”
“This shower delivered us a TV from ALDI online on the 23rd of June. It was soaking wet with filthy water and was dumped outside on a dry day! Nobody rang or knocked and I found it 4 hours after their tracking system said they'd delivered it.
4 weeks later, after FIVE days wasted by waiting in for them to collect it, I finally got ALDI to send Yodel to get it. THEY came as promised, within 3 days.

“I was wondering where the buck stops when things go wrong at XDP. I am one of the Directors of Kedel Limited in Burnley. We started using XDP for shipments to domestic customers 9 years ago in June 2011. In that time we have seen breakages, lost packages and delayed deliveries galore. We have packages broken that had fragile stickers all over them, but still somehow managed to end up with boot prints on the packaging. We can of course claim back the cost price of the goods provided we do a bunch of paperwork to make a claim along with images. After all that we often just get pennies in compensation. This does not cover the cost of lost business, reputation and cancelled orders, nor indeed the time it takes to deal with all these issues. It seems to me something is going terribly wrong at XDP which needs management attention. We had a shipment to one customer recently that was broken on arrival. We shipped out a replacement. XDP managed to break that too, so now I am having to get in my car and make the delivery myself. In fact another one was broken today. I would dearly love to have a conversation with David Jagger or their Chairman Louis John to see if they have a solution that will allow us to continue using XDP for our deliveries, because we are desperately looking for alternative means of delivery.”
“Loverly delivery driver arrived at my address today from the Ashford depot with my package from wayfair , he was very polite , arrived on time and very helpful .”
“Unreliable & impossible to get hold of. They failed to show up with the Wayfair order. The only number that I could find was for the supply chain and they don't even answer that + I was left on hold for ages and charged 7p per minute for the pleasure. I called Wayfair and the guy even agreed that XDP are awful and he didn't know why they still use them... even Wayfair doesn't have a number that they can call. Just a terrible company that doesn't care at all about customers. God knows whats happened to my order now.”
“Wow...wish I had read these reviews before waiting 6hrs at our business premises waiting on our delivery that 8hrs later still hasnt appeared.
XPD have split our order in to 2 consignments. We had a failed delivery later on last night...which we didnt know about but nobody worming at that time anyway. Only have a pic of the labels from that failed delivery so really could have been taken anywhere. 2 different (thougb overlapping) delivery times for this afternoon. 6hrs spent hanging around our business premises. 3hrs in i discovered there was a tracking App....worst tracking I've ever experienced. Fitting for the worst delivery company I have ever experienced.
On reading all these other reviews I wonder when...if ever, we will see our delivery. Plan to arrange for another delivery...with another delivery company...and hopefully never cross paths with XPD again. I urge everyone to do the same”
“This company are a complete shambles. Wouldn't even give one star if possible. Bought a garden table from Aldi. After it was delivered damaged by XDP I have arranged a collection 3 times through Aldi. XDP never gave an estimated time slot on any occasion. Their customer service team are useless (when you eventually get through on the phone) and are unable to offer any assistance. Emails go unanswered. Now waiting to Aldi to arrange a different carrier to pick up item. Aldi should consider using a different carrier if they want to retain their reputation. I will not be ordering anything on line from Aldi in the future.”
“XDP have stated my order was delivered on29/6/2020.Total Lies as was home all day.No delivery slot/text or phone call received.I have requested proof of delivery.ie.Drivers photograph of entrance doors a stated in their terms.The businesses who use this company should be very concerned as to the damaging effect it will have on their business.”
“If there was an option to give minus stars I would. They are certainly not worth 1 star.
They received my order of a bed on the 19th June and then in their wisdom decided to split the consignment into 2 deliveries.
Why any company would do this is beyond me as you are surely doubling your workload and transportation costs?
The first parcel was delivered to me on June 29th, 10 days after they received the consignment.
I am still waiting for the second parcel 7 days later.
Their oh so helpful tracking system shows the second parcel as still being at the delivery depot.
There are no telephone contact numbers on their awful website to contact them to track any missing package.
Their is an email address, but you only get an automated email reply advising you to track the consignment on their app or website.
I have done this and it shows my missing parcel sat in their delivery depot for the last 7 days.
What sort of courier company doesn't have customer service agents that you can speak with to help you receive your missing items?
What good is a bed shipped to you under 1 consignment number being split into 2 by the courier and the second part not being delivered???
For any future purchases I make I will find out with whom the order will be shipped with, if it is XDP I will not buy that product.
I have dealt with courier companies since I started working in 1984 and I can honestly say that XDP are by far the worst courier company I have ever dealt with, and that is comparing them to some of the cowboy companies that were around in the 1980's.
Avoid them like the plague.”
“I've been waiting for my delivery from Aldi since the 22nd June its being sitting at Depot 740 with no updates,you can't call XDP directly it's so frustrating,I have contacted Aldi 4 times now as this is my only channel of communication with the company unfortuantly they haven't had much success eirther as a paying customer what can I do now,surely a courier company are able to deliver your goods in a timely fashion,I'm at a loss but I will be perusing this until I get answers”
“Ordered a mattress from Groupon and it is now stuck somewhere with Xdp, have sent an email to them as they're tracking is not updating to be told they cannot find my mattress, what a joke of a company, how do you loose a mattress, now having problems getting my money back from Groupon and having to go through PayPal resolution. I advice anyone don't purchase from Groupon as they use xdp and you will be lucky to get your goods.”
“Ordered a triple bunkbed first part came on 3 rd of june still waiting for the other part of the bed. Been on the website tracker basically it says (consignments booked in for 1/01/30 so have to wait 10 years for it!! Tried to email tried to phone nothing. Very disappointed as my 4 year old was so excited to have a new bed. Have contacted the company i bought the bed they have tried several times to contact them appsolutly useless company. People should stop using this company as people are losing money not fair at all.”

The supplier customer service is excellent - such a tragedy that they are so badly let down by XDP. I can't even bring myself to call them a 'delivery' company.
I'd like to encourage everyone to complain to the Ombudsman! Please tell me they're not a privately owned British company - what a total embarrassment to our lovely 'white van man'!!
