“We love the Albion Farmshop and Cafe and usually have a breakfast there, which we've never been disappointed with in the past, but this time I ordered the rag pudding. The chips were delicious, some of the best we've had. The pudding, however, was most definitely the worst I've ever had! The sauce poured over it was pale and insipid. Certainly not a nice beef gravy you'd expect. The ends were rock hard and inedible, so it had obviously been microwaved. The little bit in the middle was meagerly filled with I don't know what. Tasted like tangy bbq and looked like pulled pork. Not the beef chunks you'd expect. What has gone wrong Albion Farm? New chef? Also because you pay up front when you order, no opportunity for a reduction and, although the waitress was apologetic and said she'd pass on my feedback to the chef, there was no offer of a partial refund. Extremely disappointing experience this time. Not sure we'll be back to eat there sadly.”
“Just been to the cafe with my son. Service was poor. Staff wandering around ignoring customers who are standing waiting to be served at the counter. I ordered 2 sandwiches and coffees which came to £34! I ordered a hot beef sandwich with caramelised onions and gravy. This is what came out. A dry ciabatta with half of it filled with roast beef. No onions and a dribble of gravy! The service and food definitely wasn’t worth how much it cost. I won’t be going again and I’ll make sure I will be telling family and friends about this crappy experience.”

“Arrived around 2pm for lunch and despite being very quiet, and having to ask 3 times, had to wait over 30 minutes for our drinks. In fact, our drinks came after our food.
We had to ask for the table to be wiped as it was full of salt and marks from the previous occupants.
We both ordered eggs benedict, all 4 eggs were hard, so they were sent back.
When they arrived the 2nd time, the bacon which was present on the 1st order was missing, and the eggs were lukewarm.
There were ample staff, but the service was abysmal.
This is not a value place to eat, therefore
I would expect the service to be A1 and it was anything but.
The staff appeared too preoccupied in chatting with each other rather than concentrating on the paying customer.”
