Just got back last night from a holiday at the Queen's Hotel in Eastbourne. It didn't start to well when the feeder bus was half an hour late and where we have to wait is on a footpath with no shelter. Boarded the bus to find 2 ladies in our seats booked directly by phone to you. Told Graham the driver who said it wasn't his fault but they were already there so there was a double seat opposite the toilet so just sit there instead. Couldn't understand how it happened as for the last 5/6 years we have had 5 holidays every year. Never mind we did as we were told and got settled in seats 39/40. However when we got to Leeming Bar the 2 passengers who got on told us we had to get out of the seats as they had them booked. Again we had to move this time to seats 43/44 just in front of the back row, so we had moved seats 3 times in about an hour!! We were on our way to Eastbourne and had a couple of stops on the way and looking forward to getting there. When we arrived we were welcomed by the lady on the reception desk who was very nice. We were all given our room cards with room numbers and meal times. We asked for a room with a view and had room 508 on the 5th floor. The room was very big with a lovely view onto the pier and along the beach. Room was a little scruffy with the wallpaper peeling in places and the linings of the curtains all torn. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. The breakfasts were lovely with loads of choice and evening meals were nice as well. Service in restaurant was very good and quick. Steven our waiter was brilliant he was so helpful and friendly he is a credit to the hotel. Trips on the train and to Hever Castle and gardens were lovely and even better as the weather was great. Also enjoyed the sightseeing bus ride. All in all we had a lovely time despite a couple of hiccups at the start. We made some lovely friends as well. Now looking forward to our last holiday of the year to festive break to Fort William. Already booked our 5 holidays for 2026.

Cotswold and Blenheim Palace holiday 18th Aug 2025 staying at the Whately Hall Hotel. Hotel is impressive from the outside, very old dating back to the 1600's. Plenty of history. We asked for a low floor room but had to climb up a winding staircase and then another kite winding staircase (38 steps) totally unsuitable for my mobility problems. Luckily we could swap with my son whose room was higher but accessible by a lift which you had to go outside for.! From leaving Burtonwood we had a different coach driver every day as our designated driver was ill. Not really a problem though, all very nice but not very chatty. Staff were friendly, general areas clean and tidy. Breakfast was superb, everything you could wish for. Dinners were very lacking in choice and some were inedible. We went out two nights and ate at the local restaurant. Stayed in for dinner on the last night, fish and chips, though not very nice wish we had gone out again. Desserts o.k but hardly any choice. Tables nicely set with crisp white linen and nice cutlery. Service was a bit haphazard, don't think they have many coach parties. The hotel seems to be catering to short stay and overnight guests, or corporate guests Bedrooms were beautiful, newly decorated with modern bathrooms, but no handrails in the shower and dirty shower mat. Tea and coffee plentiful. Not enough drawer storage for a weeks stay. There were 47 people on our coach but the lounge area in the hotel only had seating for about 20 people so could'nt sit and chat like in a Leisureplex hotel Trips out were fine especially Blenheim. But Bicester Luxury Boutique village was totally inappropriate for a coach load of OAP's. Lovely place if you have millions to spend on all the luxury brands. So to close, not the right kind of holiday for your usual Alfa clientele.

Wyre valley trip very disappointing ...staying at Paddocks hotel not suitable for anyone with mobility problems the evening meal 6.00pm was far too early as not getting back from day trips until after 5.00pm most days...the evening meal was very poor limited choice and very unimaginative....entertainment consisted of a quiz or bingo...the seating in the dining room not very well thought out...the hotel has recently been refurbished and the rooms were very nice .

Came back yesterday (16-8-2025) from a fantastic 7 days staying at the Metropole Hotel in Torquay. Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly staff and great well portioned meals. Our waitress, Shannon always greeted us with a smile, as did all the staff. Our excursions were very good too! Unfortunately we were unable to have an Alfa coach and driver for the full holiday, but Andy from Redwoods Travel, was a lovely chap. Before we left. we booked next year's holiday to the Isle of Wight, next August, (deposit paid with my £50 Bingo win) as a joint celebration for my 70th birthday (4th) and hubby's 75th (15th) the day we arrived. Can't wait!! Thank you Alfa for another fantastic holiday, now to share my review on TripAdvisor! Mrs. Noreen Skelton

Very good hotel but not the best stay at Cumberland hotel stains on carpet small room dark room very old fashioned in room and bathroom. Good food and drink but the last few nights it was long time to wait between meals 25 mins from main course to dessert and there was no butter or mayo had to ask twice for it. No toast at breakfast again had to ask twice. Staff lovely and entertainment was good bingo not long enough to noisy down stairs could here the singer on downstairs I'm my room. And very long way to shops cafes beach bus stops not ideal location wise. Receptionist very nice friendly and staff as well but some faults as well I just think personally it not the best hotel I stayed in. I went on the coach hoilday Scarborough and whitby 6th aug to 10th aug

Had a nice holiday in Liverpool, journey back was not good had to wait 2 hours for another coach to get to Rotherham services before we could continue our journey home, nothing to do with heavy traffic driver took them to a shopping outlet , we are sat waiting for them not a good end to a holiday so got home after 6 o’clock, we do know you have to wait for other coaches but not while they go shopping

My sister and her partner who are both registered blind her partner who has a little sight., were booked on a coach trip to the Isle of Wight the trip has been booked since May , the company new that they were both registered blind, they have been to the Isle of Wight before on a coach had no problem,on getting on the feeder coach to Buttonwood then sitting on the coach that would take them to the Isle of Wight, the driver decided he couldn’t take them. Alfa rang them and said they were cancelling their holiday, how disgusting is this. My sister and her partner have been on several coach holidays have travelled too Blackpool. Llandudno on train by themselves without any problems. My sister who is recovering from cancer was so much looking forward to this holiday, as you can imagine she’s heart broken , thanks Alfa ruining her holiday.

Had a lovely break with an Alfa travel. Hotel was nice, lovely modern showers. Food was excellent, great choice, cooked perfectly and alway roasting hot . The staff were so polite and friendly. Trips were great as well. Good variety , driver had abundance of local knowledge. When i returned home I discovered id lost a few items. Alfa travels were so good in finding them as id left them on the coach, I wasn’t sure where i had left them. Good enough my items were found and returned to me the next day , free of charge. Thank you Alfa travel and the people who clean your coaches.

We were on a group holiday with our u3a. Alfa picked us up at 2 very convenient points. John was friendly and a very good driver. Shanklin Hotel on Isle of Wight was excellent: clean comfortable rooms, beautiful dining/entertainment room, food choices and food itself were great and our waitress, Brooke, was outstanding. All the staff seemed happy and helpful. The chef was incredibly helpful with someone who had intolerance of common foods. Evening entertainment was good. We will not hesitate to book again with Alfa.

Just returned from isle of wight. 7 day trip to Sandown. No WiFi on bus so it didn't start well. Trip down was quite quick from Tyneside. Hotel was good, had a seaview room and food was spot on. Trips a bit hit and miss will long stretches on the coach in traffic despite IOW being a small island. Trip to Osbourne house was ok pretty spread out but there is little buses to help. Sandown is boarded up with a couple of pubs, not much going on. Overall a good trip but would not go back to IOW. There are much better places to visit in the south with more to do. Overall a fair trip.

Just back from "Historic Houses of Kent". We were pleased with an excellent driver Keith. We enjoyed the trips to Chartwell, Rochester, Canterbury and Penshurst very much. We thought the trip to Tunbridge Wells was a waste of time. The King Charles Hotel was a poor three star hotel-the staff were good but the room was shabby and the dinners were very poor quality. The need to select our meals from a limited menu on the first night was very strange too and we weren't offered any alternatives. The location and area around the hotel in Gillingham was not worth visiting.

Just come back from Kent historic houses. Good cheerful driver Keith. Really enjoyed the holiday on the whole .Really think there should be more time in each place we visit. Now then the hotel King Charles is not up to scratch. THE TOILET WAS BADLY STAINED, THERE WAS BLOOD ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR, COBWEBS IN BEDROOM AND SKIRTING BOARD IN BATHROOM WAS THICK WITH DUST. PLUS ORDERING OUR MEALS THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE DIDNT WORK OUT EITHER . Would not go back again.
