Iwe went to isle of man same time as k Steele and as he said it was one of our worst holidays with Alfa .we wasted 2days getting there .we had to stay at Blackpool over night at the queen's it was far better the best hotel and food was 100% better and would have had loads to do .isle of man nothing to do .I would have preferred to stay in Blackpool for the week .I think Alfa should give everyone that travelled with them to Ilse of man some sort of compensation

7 day trip to isle of man; worst holiday ever had, two days to get there ferry broke down had to get passenger ferry instead, as busses are not allowed onboard. had to walk over 100yards to ship carrying suitcases with disabled wife as well as other disabled passengers on trip. hotel poor lots of stairs to climb carrying suitcases as no staff available to take cases to rooms. rooms tiny double bed in single room no room to move. food poor quality and poor variety, staff miserable. terrible holiday altogether.

We enjoyed our holiday to North Wales. However, one problem was the coach was rather elderly! True it didn't have seat numbers or curtains but the air conditioning did work. The seats were comfortable. The coach had a limiter which prevented it travelling more than 60mph. This caused the difficulty in keeping to the schedule set by the company. Our driver only had the coach for five days before the start of our holiday. He had never done this tour before so was unable to give us much information about the area. He was a good driver under trying circumstances - driving rain and high winds! The hotel was excellent, very comfortable and with love!y food. The trips to the steam railways were great and our driver also took us to other places of interest. All in all a love!y holiday.

I have just returned from the Queens Hotel Blackpool. It was my first holiday with Alfa Travel. Everything was perfect. The holtel was clean and well kept, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our server was Raphal and did his very best to make the meal times go well. The, food was well cooked and hot with plenty of selection. Our coach driver/tour guide was Simon. What a fantastic guy. Helpful, knowledgeable, funny .. (oh dear those jokes ) he even gave everyone his phone number in case we needed help.. He is a great ambassador for Alfa travel... Looking forward to booking my next trip away with Alfa

the journey back home was horrendous, why we had to go from Dunoon to Stockton-on -Tees was beyond all reasoning, admittedly the hotel in Stockton, was ten star compared to the Selbourne in Dunoon, and the food at Stockton was heaven compared to the muck served up in Dunoon, also the bar prices in the Selbourne were beyond belief, £4 -20p for a bottle of beer, never again with Alfa, once bitten ,twice shy, on the plus side ,the driver (Dave) and Andy the barman, and bingo caller were brilliant, in summary , we could have stayed an extra night in Dunoon (and made the best of it ) instead of the travel over two days we had to do, three days travelling in total we did, horrendous

come back of holiday Saturday 7/7/18, The bus air condition was broke, and in this heat it was unbearable, when someone tried to phone Alfa they couldn't get an answer even on the emergency number, eventually I believe a e-mail was sent to complain and was told that it would not be fixed until the bus arrived back in the garage, the driver could have collapse with heat exhaustion and we could have al been killed but that didnt seem to matter, My wife and I both refused to go on any trips so that was a waste of money. The Manager of the hotel on the Isle of wight Sandown asnt got a clue how to run a Hotel, when I aske him about entertainment on the Saturday he said there was none ( the main night) and no entertainment, I couldn't believe it,. The telly room was full of spare beds, I'm not one for watching telly when on holiday, but it is world cup time and England are still there, the telly in the bar was never on, a lot of money could have been made over the bar like in other pubs and clubs, but nothing. When I asked if we could have dinner early when England played the response was we don't open till 6.30, England played at 7, therefore I went somewhere else for dinner, but I noticed that 2 days later there was a trip on and low and behold dinner was served at 6 for those on the trip. No Im not a very satisfied and would have to think again if I travel with Alfa.

Went on Pride of North Holiday , the only Highlight was Liverpool but even that trip was a four hour round journey from Hotel in Crewe . Why stay such a distance away in a Hotel [ Crewe Arms ] extremely noisy due to Room being practically on the busy station platform and Trains run most of night with platform announcements non stop. Complained to Manager and was told a " Rescue Package " available , what a joke , Earplugs and a sachet Hot Chocolate !! Our Driver was great but unable to do anything to change things . Dropped off to spend 4 hours in an outlet Shopping Mall with very little to do but drink Coffee , we were all fed up . On returning from trip to Manchester given no time to freshen up for Evening Meal as it was brought forward for FOOTBALL on TV . Feeder Coach driver got lost several times on both Journeys ,we went around Basingstoke three times and totally wrong way coming out of Reading which added an hour to journey . I have been on many holidays and never felt the need to complain before . Wrote to Alfa but not had decency to reply . Never again .

A really awful trip to Torquay, nothing wrong with the hotel but the actual journey was hell. The driver wasn't everyone's cup of tea but we found him okmand he did have quite a lot to put up with in the way of other travellers. We were collected from our pick-up point at 7.50 am,we were the only ones to be picked up from there so it was looking good.We were meeting our tour coach at Burtonwood, which is about 25 mins from our pick up point at the most.Something Alfa don't advertise in their tour brochures/info is the incredible journeys, the unbelievable tour of the Merseyside area lasting an incredible 3 HOURS to get you to Burtonwood!!! When we eventually arrived we were told our coach to Torquay would be leaving at 11am, so we thought it would only another 10 mins so we got on the coach. However, one idiot had failed to let the driver know that another person was not coming, so after checking and re-checking bags and passenger numbers and much probing this came to light. Phewwww....around 11.30 ish we were off!! There were of course mandatory stops but that did not seem enough for some passengers who seemingly wanted to stop for cigarettes. It didn't seem to matter that the majority just wanted to get on with it. As a result we arrived at our hotel with little time to freshen up for the evening meal as the meal time had been brought forward to 6pm instead of 6.30 because of FOOTBALL. Not my idea of entertainment and to be rushed because of it, not an ideal start to a holiday. Having said that the hotel itself was very good and I have reviewed that independently on Trip Advisor. Of the two trips out we only chose to go on one, to Looe and Polperro. The stops were not long but enough to have a browse around and we particularly liked Polperro. Prior to our return one passenger failed to put their luggage outside their room at the appointed time,so the driver had to search around to find who it was, and surprise surprise, guess who was the last on the coach at the very last minute? This person also, when we got to Burtonwood, jumped in front of me very rudely when I was waiting to be served at the services. We got off to a pretty good start, but again we had at least one extra stop which was great for the smokers amongst us. It was boiling hot and the air con was switched off at the request of ONE man.I would have thought that Alfa would have put the choice in the hands of the majority....but no, we were all forced to suffer the heat. Unfortunately traffic on the M6 was bad so it took some time to get to Burtonwood, but en route we were told at services that another Alfa coach had just arrived as we were leaving and he had to have his 45 minute break. Fair enough, but why was he so behind in the first place? An element of extremely bad planning here, this meant there would be further delay at Burtonwood because of this. Once at Burtonwood, chaos reigned.Of course it was our feeder coach that was way behind on the motorway and people were left hanging around with no clue of when they would actually depart. After a while my partner approached the man in the Alfa kiosk to ask if he had any idea what time we would be leaving there. At that point we were about 25 mins from home, but facing a further 3 hour trip to get there!! The man was unhelpful and when my partner said he was fed up with standing around the man said he was too, and didn't like it when he was told the difference was he was getting paid for it.5.30 came and still no feeder had arrived. At this point we had had enough and called a taxi, which cost us an extra £45 but was ultimately preferable to another tour of Merseyside. When we left Burtonwood at 5.40 approx the feeder coach had still not arrived. Alfa ??? NEVER again. Be fair and publicise your horrendous feeder coach journeys. I don't think any planning or forward thinking is done within this company at all. An absolute nightmare. I have of course complained to Alfa but from what I have read they don't even have the courtesy to reply.

We travelled from the South East Coast to Scarborough staying at the Cumberland Hotel on 10th June. Our feeder coach driver was very good and friendly. Our changeover was at Reading . We then joined our tour coach meeting our driver Simon who made our journey in both directions easy and informative. We did three tours with him and were very impressed with his excellent driving, his friendliness and we even managed to laugh at his corny jokes. Thank you and well done Simon.

My husband and I travelled with Alpha to Blackpool 26th Feb -2 March and then to St Ives 5-9th March, both times our driver was Simon. What a terrific driver and person he is..! On arrival on our first night we were late for dinner due to a serious road accident. We were given vouchers for a free drink which was very nice however I tried to get another drink but the bar next to the restaurant had closed, I was told to go to the bar in the entertainments room but that was closed, I wasn't impressed! We were meant to have four nights in Blackpool but due to adverse weather conditions (the beast from the East!!) many of the coaches were unable to return to the interchange in Reading so we had to stay an extra night. Luckily it wasn't too much of a problem for us personally. The hotel itself was fine although the dining room was very cold, many guests complained and eventually heaters were put in though only one meal time was actually warm. We cannot fault the food or service. Price wise Alfa give excellent value for money. We are going with them again in July to Wales.
