“went to george 1v criccieth over new year.had a good time..met some nice people.yes the staff were busy,but we did get served pretty quickly..the food was good .remember we never paid 5 star price..over new year yes shops/cafes were closed..pubs sold food.a new year i did enjoy”

“I have just been reading all the reviews and the complaints. I have been to 4 hotels this year with Alpha. I have 1 more booked next week.Already booked 4 hols next year. Prior to lockdown I went on 2 hols a year For about 5 yrs. This surely shows MY opinion of service provided ( I have previously been with some other coach companies.)The complaint, which many people bring up, really is the length of journeys (made worse by Interchange system) but anyone can look at a map of their journey and work out beforehand what to expect!!! Please don't be put off!! The hotels are in great locations and I have found staff to always be friendly and seem to really want you to enjoy your stay.”

“Monarch hotel in Bridlington was very good. Very clean, with food well cooked and tasty. Craig our driver was relaxed and witty. The trips were excellent although York was a little too packed to enjoy. Half day to Beverley was a pleasant surprise as advertised as Minster visit. A lovely market town with shops to rival any city. On our return journey home we were taken to an old Mill, now converted into many outlet shops. Again unexpected and an pleasant surprise. All in all the weekend was excellent value for money and I hope that our next one booked for March will be equally enjoyable, although one reviewer here does not appear to have enjoyed the hotel experience so we shall have to wait and see and judge for ourselves. Paid for room with view but only partial, with many rooftops. Alfa kindly refunded extra paid, immediately. Thank you Alfa.”

“Tell us how alpha made us happy well was exactly the opposite we went to London was told we would be taken around the capital by a tour guide that never happened after booking this holiday our hotel was changed 3 times the holiday inn was in stevenage miles away the hotel was very clean and comfortable but the evening meals were disgusting the breakfast were very nice and the hotel staff were very friendly no issues with them just the evening service we were about over an hour away from the capital if not more we did not get what we were promised and paid for as a good will gesture they have offered us a measly 20 10 pound each insulated is the word they breached their contract failed to give us what they promised”

“Went on trip to dunigal got picked up first at eastkilbride and driver Tony took wrong turn to get to Hamilton so took 40 mins to do a 10 min journey everyone on board we set off again he did not seem to know where toilet stops where but got on boat on time once off boat took wrong turn and took extra hour to get to hotel. Hotel Abbey was very good food nice staff good all round but again went to londonderry for day out got there in 1hour 20 mins but got lost on way back took 3 hours to get back to hotel and tints words was it was just one off those things he seemed to not know his way about even with sat nav system not happy with losing about 4 hours sitting because he got lost I would travel with alfa travel as long as it was not with tony”

“Just had a great holiday at the Shanklin Hotel, Isle of Wight, Roy the driver was brilliant, very knowledgeable and helpful, great fun to be with. The only spoiler was arriving back at Burtonwood, had to wait about 3/4 HR to board feeder coach, and nowhere to sit as there were to many people for the available seats. As I have a back problem I was in considerable pain. Sorry Alfa, but this took the shine off my holiday”

“Went to Criccieth a month ago. Hotel is old but clean has charm . when i book into a 3 star hotel im not expecting a 5 star like alot of people do. if people want 5 star then pay for it and stop moaning about 3 star.”

“Have been with Alfa before and was well looked after. Drivers were always friendly and talked you through history of areas driven through, keeping the travelling interesting Our trip this time to St Ives was only blighted by hotel but covid has got to take some of blame. The service by Alfa staff and the driver Kevin were first class, professional friendly and really helpful. This made the holiday worthwhile. The trips out were very well received. The time spent on the coach was to be expected and Kevin deserves a medal for dealing with all the traffic issues. Feed back to Alfa is necessary to help them deal with issues but some comments omit to show a balanced experience considering what the country is still dealing with. Now saving for next journey thank you Alfa and Kevin”

“Having just been to the new beach hotel Yarmouth another lovely stay food was great and staff were also very good just had one gripe on the Friday morning breakfast was a bit of let down it was sorted out the next day hope to go back again at the end of the year Kevin our driver was also excellent”

“Recently returned from dunoon selborne hotel great trip good food helpful driver . Only down side we were given room 10 it was dark with one window facing a blank wall when we asked could we move to a room with a view we were told they had rooms with view but we would have to pay sixtyfour pound a bit of a ripoff we declined no good practice or customer care their. Manager mot helpful. Would not return or recommend. Poor show .”

“I have just been reading the reviews posted on this site. I have been with Alfa 8 times . I last went Oct 20 and was impressed by the care taken. I have 3 trips booked for this year and am SURE they will be as good as anyone can provide in these difficult times. Had 2 hols cancelled in the last 18 months;1 was rearranged to later date 1 immediately refunded .(65+ lady travelling alone)”

“Returned from 6 night holiday on 9th October. Alpha procedures were very efficient and reassuring in these tricky times - good spacing on coach, transfer centre well organised and our hotel in Cromer was efficiently run. It had a good system to cope with current requirements. Our driver was very competent, doing his daily temperature checks in a cheerful manner. We therefore had a relaxing holiday and could recommend. We have already booked our next trip with Alpha.”

“Just back from shanklin hotel iow got to sty the whole trip was organised expertly from start to finish. Got to give credit to the drivers Mark and Jason for there great professionalism especially dealing with a particular customer who ruined everybody's holiday and should never be able to travel with Alfa again (see reports forms drivers and hotel manager).Very impressed with the hotel well who performed superbly despite the current restrictions and the waitress who dealt with us all week was very good.Food was good and the entertainment average but all in all it was a very good holiday well organised by Alfa”

“Had great holiday at regina hotel torquay 9th March just got home before all this corona trouble. But can't wait for the next holiday with alpha travel. Very professional drivers we broke down on the motorway coming home but the problem was soon sorted with a pick up from another coach in the area. Can't wait for the next holiday with you.”

“Bit phased at start of our trip to Newquay,feeder driver got lost several times,obviously never been to north Lincolnshire before and did not listen to the locals who knew the area.when we switched to our main coach the experience could not have been more different,Darren our driver on coach 2 kept us informed about everything that was happening.can highly recommend Darren,he looked after very well through out our holiday.The elliott hotel in Newquay was excellent staff very polite and helpful. Ann who looked after us in the restaurant was brilliant.Very amusing lady,polite and helpful. Meals and the rooms were excellent.”

“We are 68 and 70 and took an Alfa 'Turkey/Tinsel' to The Selborne Hotel, Dunoon 11-15th Nov 2019. David is a skilled driver and gave us lots of helpful, informative information during the 5 days. Excellent, interesting journey via Gretna, Glasgow Orbital, Port of Glasgow, then a 20 minute car/coach ferry from Gournock to Dunoon. Day trip to Glasgow v.good and the scenery as we travelled to Inverarary is lovely [though we did have good weather !] The Selborne, an older-style hotel, is beautifully position next to the sea-like River Clyde. Amazing views. The staff were all friendly, helpful and polite. Our room, one of the few without a superb view, was dated but warm and clean, with super-comfy twin beds and hot water. The food was all very adequate for the off-season, budget price we paid. Excellent value for money and a really enjoyable holiday. Coach that picked us up was late, and we had a longer delay at interchange on return journey, due to the Isle of Wight coach hold-up. So a long day for everyone. That is the only reason we give 4 not 5 stars. Thank you all Alfa staff.”

“We have returned from Exmouth staying at the Cavendish Hotel first time with Alfa ,we had an excellent holiday. Room needs tlc which I was told is taking place in New Year. Driver Kevin very good informative good sense of humour.Entertainment good we do not play bingo but not a problem it was only about 1hr.Perhaps a few tub chairs only two sofas rest are upholstered recently but straight backed.Food very good portions sometimes service a little slow but what's the rush you are on holiday. Every member of staff pleasant not a problem with anyone had couple problems with bathroom sorted out immediately.”
