The hearing aids are great, but one failed after 2 yrs 6 mths and the other after 2 yrs 10 mths and each time I was given a replacement with a very different battery cover colour from the other hearing aid. This is despite me sending a letter with the 2nd one saying "Please do not dispose of the battery cover - if the aid is replaced I do not want a black battery cover! When my right hearing aid was replaced I was told that battery covers of the colour of mine are no longer available so I would like the current one fitted if a new hearing aid is needed." Why can't Amplifon (a) read a letter sent by a customer with a failed hearing aid; (b) understand that supplying an odd hearing aid is unacceptable; and (c) understand that an item replaced under warranty should match the item it replaces when they are a pair?

Well everyone, I have been reading a number of reviews rating from 1-5 stars and have concluded that each person is different and can only go by their personal experience. For me, I have had nothing but FIRST CLASS service from Amplifon in Darlington, Emma in reception is ALWAYS friendly along with a very warm greeting on every visit I make. Claire is PRICELESS, she fully understands my requirements and has NEVER EVER tried to sell me anything other than what I want myself. I always receive a full and detailed explanation of any new hearing aid on the market and its ME who makes the decisions as to whether or not I buy them. I love the the weeks free trial concept which obviously helps the individual to decide if the aids are right for them. To summarise: I am more than happy with the service and the products available from Amplifon, I have NEVER been pressured into anything I didn’t want. Having worn hearing aids for some 10years+ now, Amplifon in Darlington suit me fine.

had a problem with my hearing aids, they were purchased in New Zealand. I contacted amplifon in Worthing, they responded immediately and asked me to bring the aids in and they would assess them. I arrived later and the audiologist was available, he sorted out my problem, gave useful, unbiased advice and did not change me for his time. Exceptional customer service, will return there if I have any other problems or need assessments or advice

I have visited many audiologist in different towns over the years NHS and also private, but Amplifon Preston has stood out to me and become my regular go to when I'm having difficulty, they offer a wonderful service, very kind and understanding, not in it for the money just genuine staff who are happy to put time and effort into your needs. Very welcoming especially Khalid who has put alot of time into finding the right aids for me and the best prices.

I have been a customer of Amplifon for many years & use their hearing centre at Farnborough, Hampshire. It's always a pleasure to go there. I have had my present aids since last September & had to have a check up. My audiologist Lydia is fantastic, she not only checked my hearing, but found a fault necessitating them being sent back to the factory for some rectification work under warranty that couldn't be carried out by her. I was loaned a comparable pair whilst they were away for a week. I collected them yesterday after being informed they were in & given an appointment for the very next day by Ann their really efficient & friendly receptionist. I am delighted with the service & my hearing aids & wouldn't consider any other hearing aid company. Thank you once again for the wonder full service provided.

My mother also purchased some hearings aids from Claritas We visited the shop and they made some minor repairs to the hearing aids and conducted an audio test and updated the hearing aid software. All free of charge. We went to the Finchley branch and overall it looks a professional set up and slightly comforting that they only do hearing aids and nothing else,

After purchasing my aids costing over £2000 from Claritas, I was shocked to learn they had gone into administration. After getting a letter from Amplifon I visited the Preston branch where they put my mind at ease and checked my aids were working correctly, giving me world class aftercare service. Very warm and welcoming would recommend them to anyone :-) :-)

It's a horrible company and is there only for minting money. They will try to sell you the most expensive hearing aid with all promises and once you get trapped then you will repent all your life or will be forced to buy a different brand.

Just like to thank amplifion and especially Barry at the Hanley branch for there excellent service and friendly help to get my hearing aids right . When I first had my hearing aids they were not quite right but Barry changed them for me and also had them sent off to be altered and now my life’s changed for the better so Thankyou to you all at the Hanley branch 👍

I waited in the store for 45 mins past my appointment time. Not one one person communicated with me about what was happening and how long it would take. Eventually I walked out. I may have hearing difficulties but that does not mean I can’t communicate. I then made a direct complaint via email to amplifon expressing my concerns and not one person replied. Shocking service from wigmore street team and customer service team in amplifon. Would not reccomend a visit at all! I will spend my 5k in Pindrop Hearing instead. Service in 10x better.

I purchased a new hearing aid about two months ago from Amplifon in Farnborough, Hampshire where I have been a customer for many years. I had my old aid for over seven years & they kept it going for me with out any expense throughout that time. Today I went back to have the replacement tweaked by Lydia the branch audiologist who is so good at her job & with the patience of a saint. The service that I have always received from Amplifon has been amazing. Thank you Lydia, Ann, & Carolyn, & best wishes for Christmas & 2019, from Roy H

I was experiencing extreme hearing difficulties and visited Amplifon in Hanley, Stoke On Trent. I was introduced to Barry Perkin who provided an extensive hearing examination. His immediate decision was that my hearing was so impaired that I had only 70% hearing in one ear and 50% in the other. The aids that Barry recommended and suggested I tried for a couple of weeks had an amazing effect on my hearing quality. I was able to join in conversations that had previously been difficult to understand and watch television without the volume being excessively loud. It is now 2 months since I first visited Amplifon and to say I am grateful to them is an understatement. Thank you Barry. JR South Cheshire

I invested in digital hearing aids from Amplifon in Lincoln after sales disgraceful always having to have them sent back to be fixed at a cost to me. Michael Swift arrogant rude and disrespectful not in the slightest interested in deaf people I am now left with only one aid working and Mr Swift really does not care Would not reccomend Ampifon to anybody gezmccann@msn.com 07885 584 599

I was referred through Aetna to Amplifon to get some discount on hearing aids that I had already gotten from my ENT doctor. Well after applying and waiting for my ID card, I went back to the doctor's office only to find that the "discount" pricing offered was no less than the price I was already given by the doctor without using Amplifon. Some of the hearing aids were actually MORE than the prices I was quoted if I used the Amplifon.

I have been using Amplifon Hearing for over ten years & go to their centre in Farnborough, Hanpshire. Lydia my audiologist there is wonderful & explains perfectly what she is doing throughout the hearing test. She is so efficient & caring, making sure that every detail is suitable for me whilst examining & testing my hearing. What I love about Amplifon is they never try to sell you something unless you ask about changing your aids & spend as much time as needed to get things right for you. I like the fact that the audiologists have their own centre meaning that you always deal with same person having built up a rapport & understanding of their patients, plus the friendly efficient back up staff at the branch.Thank all of you very much.

My mother took her hearing aid into the Local Amplifon in Hanley, S-O-T for a yearly check. On examination, they tried to sell her another hearing aid when they said her existing one was faulty. When told that she could not afford another one, they said they could fix her existing one for £100. Reducing this to £50 when she protested. All they did was clean it, that was the fault.

My 95 year old mother bought hearing aids from you in 2011 which cost nearly £3,000. She was told last year that they are now too old and she needs new ones. Defunct in only 6years !!! However, we kept all her appointments at the Amplifon clinic until the venue was changed I was then unable to get her to the new premises.for the supposedly "free lifetime aftercare." Home visits were arranged, this has been very satisfactory until today we have received a letter stating that for future visits my mother will be charged £30 each time. We are not impressed with the quality of the hearing aids we were never told at any time that there would be a possibility of such a short lifespan and now to add insult to injury she will have to pay for the continued aftercare. We will definitely not be recommending Amplifon to anyone.
