“The service 141 from Castleford to Leeds drove by 4 minutes earlier than it was supposed to, thankfully I was there early, the woman driving the bus saw me signalling to stop while I was at the bus stop, she smiled, and drove away. The bus was arranged to come to Wood Street Castleford at 14:46.”
“The 12 service between Rhyl and llandudno is a joke always stopping for a fag break and it can take hours on these over prised buses, it's cheaper in London.
Shocking service and miserable unhelpful drivers.”
“Recently, I've become increasingly disappointed with the No. 12 bus service in Luton. The bus often arrives early or doesn't show up at all, causing frustration and inconvenience. Adding to this, the drivers frequently come across as rude and appear to dislike their job.
What's worse is the significant price hike for a return ticket, which has jumped from £3.20 to £5 without any available discounts. I'm exasperated with the declining quality of service, and it feels like I'm being forced to reward this terrible service with an unnecessary pay increase. I believe the bus company needs to address these issues, improve their punctuality, and enhance customer service, as well as reconsider their pricing structure, in order to regain my satisfaction and loyalty as a passenger. “Every single night of the week, between 5pm and 7pm, there are never enough 79 bus services, people are crammed in like sardines, and most buses regularly cruise past bus stops as there's no more room for anymore to get on. It's one of the busiest routes out of Liverpool covering several miles, and this is most definitely not a one off, but an absolute example of poor management and cost saving. Put more buses on.”
“Worst bus company I've had the misfortune of using. The 195/196 Wakefield buses are continuously cancelled and some just don't turn up at all. At the terrible Wakefield bus station where you're lucky to make it out alive, the buses often turn up at completely different stands to what they advertise. Wakefield council and Arriva couldn't care less about their customers and Arriva should hang their heads in shame for the laughably bad service they provide.”
“Your an appalling service I can't believe how long the time had to take and its been an hour to get my bus and it had been an hour that a friend had to wait for that's not very fair at all and how would u like it if u had friends to see and things to do I know you wouldn't like any delay so please respect n I don't ever want this iusse to happen again I'm disgusted 😡”
“Arriva bus Shrewsbury The worst bus ever i was always work late because the never on time! Sometimes they just make 3 schedules time in 1 running so make the bus so full no chance to get seat! Please make it better. Thanks”
“Waited an hour at Sandsend today when bus finally arrived I had to stand in not that well at the moment finally got a seat was very tired.then we were all chucked off the bus at Britton and herded onto an overcrowded bus had to stand again.not fit for purpose .time to give up Arrival.let another company do better.”
“My Children use the No 4 bus service from Holyhead to Bryngwran on a regular basis. Here’s a few of the issues we’ve encountered using Arriva……
1. My children were significantly short changed out of their pocket money by a driver who told them “You’ll just have to be out of pocket”. No IOU, No explanation as to why he didn’t have change or if there was a way to claim it back! It now transpires, after speaking with customer services that you’re expected to collect the change that wasn’t given from some depot somewhere!!!!!….Frankly disgusting!!
2. My children were waiting for the bus in Holyhead to travel home at 21:00. The bus driver didn’t open the doors and didn’t explain that he was on some sort of break and wouldn’t be collecting them from that stop but would be collecting at another stop less than 200 yards away!! Once again…. Disgusting!!
3. My Children now use the Arriva App where they purchase a ticket (post short changing). However this has presented another issue. Once the ticket is activated it cannot be refunded…… the problem is when Arriva CANCEL BUSSES your money is wasted. I had to Taxi my children home at significant cost. Very, very annoying!!
Basically Arriva customer services don’t give a damn about making amends! You’ll just go around and around in circles with them!
Personally I’d avoid using any Arriva service across the country!!”
“Buses never arrive on time. Services are cancelled without notice or explanation. The app is totally useless, when looking for a timetable it usually can't even find the service. Unlike Go North East they have no live update of where buses actually are. They probably don't dare it would show just how terrible their service 6.”
“0 stars if possible.
They say buses will show up- but they don't. I like to appear early at my destinations and not wait for a century for 1 to appear.”
“I only gave 1 star so I could write a review.
hopeless, rude and cancelled, are the three words I'd use to describe this company, how have they managed to keep the contract is beyond me!
late for work practically every day, buses cancelled with no warning
would this be allowed in other countries? no so why here? it takes me generally 4 hours to gp three miles!”
“We asked if he could wait for 2 minutes and he said no and then at Watford junction he stopped for a old Lady and he could not have done it for us so if this happens a agin on the 328 with the training drive so I will sue you next time if it happens and agin so don’t let it happen a agin”
“Bus 31 Luton to Dunstable is a shame! Do they even have a schedule anymore? Everyday I'm in the station hoping they would turn up at least one of them, so I can get home. They simply don't show up. Absolutely ridiculous.”
“I just stopped to allow and older person to cross a busy road near Stantonbury as did someone on the opposite side but the number 7 felt the need to keep blasting his horn until the lady had passed what a tosser needs to be sacked what ever happened to respecting our elders”
