AZIMO ! AZIMO !! AZIMO !!!, they used to be good years back but they are now rich and their transfer rate is terrible, Transferwise is a better option for people sending money to Nigeria. Azimo blocked my account and refused to allow me to send money with there services because they think they are smarter than Nigerians. They show you a certain amount of money and deliver a lower rate to the receiver. I found this out because I was curious of some Naira missing in each transaction. After I reported this, they decided to block me from sending money. Azimo can be classified as professional criminals, Stay away from them or research yourself and believe.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! It took 3 weeks to try to get money to South Africa. I then cancelled the deal. I have not received my refund and they insist that the money has been paid and that I am lying about cancelling it when their SA payer has not done is job. I sent it, yes at a cost via my bank, but in 5 hours. It is now more that 4 weeks since I first tried to send the money. They are incompetent and a waste of time and effort. I do not even give them one star.

Utterly disappointed with their decline in quality of service. Sent money to their account for payment and almost 24 hours later the recepient did not receive payment. Then I contacted Azimo, their rep says money hasn't reflected in their account and i should wait for 24hrs. I was furious because I knew she was not truthful. I told her that I will contact my bank immediately and find out why. You won't believe it, in less than 5 minutes we ended the chat, they completed the transfer to the recepient. So what happened? Magic? It simply meant they had the money all along but decided not to sent it. There is something going on in that company and I am not waiting to find out. Done with Azimo and won't recommend to anyone.

Used Azimo previously over a few years for small sums transfer. A fidgy experience once which I felt was not primarily their fault at the time. Sent urgently a significant amount which 5 business days later is yet to arrive. Excuses have been given ranging from ID to several Bank statements which have all been provided repeatedly and still no show!! Now stuck over the weekend in limbo.. Hoping this gets sorted by Monday am-- making a 30min transfer a 7 day transfer!! One can only hope! Disappointed to say the least. Given previous service.. Quite disappointed.

Terrible Experience! I was so naive to believe all those great reviews and overall rating of the service. They took my payment after ID verification and promised to deliver the funds in an hour. It's been a day since my payment was made. They are keeping my 500 euro which is a lot of money for me and doing nothing! Just got another email demanding to send them my company documents. And I don't even have a company! It was their own support agent who instructed me to register a business account because their system identified my personal card as a corporate card. Now they froze the transfer and require those business documents that I cannot possibly send them! This is very frustrating. My family member needs the money urgently. So far, it's been just lies and empty promises. And deceptive instructions from the support service. Not using Azimo ever again! Demanding my refund....

Avoid. Terrible customer service too! They made it seem like it would be there within an hour. They didn't update that the transaction was pending, I heard from the recipient they hadn't got it. I contacted Azimo and they said 'yea that happens'. Erm ok, it's an emergency so cancel it so I can Western Union it. 'Ok sir'. They cancelled, then informed me it would be two working days to process. Terrible service. Avoid.

Azimo - avoid. They hide behind regulatory requirements, insisting on knowing the date of birth and birth place of the person I was trying to send £200. This is not a regulatory money laundering requirement.

Decided to send money with them on a Friday morning.A It was important to me that it would be processed fast and I thought Azimo would be the right company for that, as they advertise themselves as fast and reliable. They are neither of it. Their compliance team was asking me ridiculous questions about what I have put in the "reference" field of my transfer. Even though I was replying almost instantly to their emails I had to wait several hours for them to answer. When I got enough of their silly questions, I contacted them and the transfer was cancelled. However it was already Friday afternoon by then and I had no chance of the money being delivered before Monday. Wasted my afternoon with Azimo all for nothing, just to have to send my transfer with one of their competitors. Luckily their competitors lived up to my expectations and processed my transfer quickly and without any problems. Should have used them instead of Azimo, and from now on I will.

How come there is no option to select a zero-star review? This company is very dodgy - I sent money with them overseas. No knowledge of account set up, and more importantly, no email receipt of the transaction. I now cannot log onto the account. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Azimo is fast and efficient I used them for a year everything was great. Although their rate is lower than others. They do not open during weekends and evenings and there is no contact number only email or you have to send a message through support which let's this service down. They also want you to trust them to send your documents over to them when you are not speaking to someone face to face. They cancelled a transfer, after taking the money and requesting documents and then rejected the documents which I di not believe their was a sufficient reason. Without informing waiting 2 days before they made the decision to cancel. I was not impressed.

The most unreliable transfer company I have ever experienced, no transparency in dealing with the customers. Experience deception in the rate offer and they blame it on technical error even the rate offered was on the system for over 4hours, I was the chasing them about the transfer for not going through if it was a technical error a reputable organisation will have contact the customer to notify of such error. Even after transferring the money into Azimo account still, no respond from Azimo for any "technical error" For Azimo to refund is a different nightmare and it completely different stories from them - 5 working days now refund still not received - they still blame it on TECHNICAL ERROR, very disappointing, very unprofessional customer service they expect you to wait but when they want to receive the money they are quick at receiving customers money

I will honestly give a zero review for these guys the transaction was cancelled after 24 hours after chasing them about my funds not reaching the destination account. It is ridiculous to say the list. They should have said they weren't able to do the transfer before wasting time. Now have to wait 3 to 5 working days to get the funds returned.

I was sending funds to a friend verification completed and confirmed as accepted then suddenly I had an email saying transaction cancelled and account blocked with no reason given. Over the years I have used many other money transfer systems with no problem but Azimo is not in the league of others

DISAPPOINTMENT IS NOT THE WORD I attempted to transfer a considerable sum from the UK to Australia. I've just relocated and did not want to use my British credit/debit card to make purchases (including Christmas presents!) due to the obvious financial drawbacks. I was heartened by the statement on Azimo's website; "most of our foreign transfers take one working day". Dear reader, do not be fooled! I created an account and completed all the necessary steps to action the transfer. This took ten minutes. Two days of obsessively checking my Australian bank account later, I eventually received an email from Azimo advising that my Australian bank had declined the transfer as my postcode was missing from the beneficiary profile (bearing in mind that the foreign transfer 'experts' Azimo do not request a beneficiary postcode when setting up the transfer). I was then asked to set up a new transfer (with postcode details included), and advised that Azimo would relocate the funds for a second transfer attempt. I did not have to pay a second time, however Azimo did see fit to deduct a further £2.99 for a re-processing 'admin fee'. What exactly these admin fees are funding I do not know, but it certainly isn't staff training - all correspondence I received seemed to be a copy-and-paste job. Well the staff can copy and paste away if I receive my funds in a timely manner, I thought. My hopes were to be dashed. Over 24 hours later, I received another email entitled: "your transfer has been cancelled". Once my heart had finished sinking I managed to read that "your transfer was declined again"; and also that "we are currently working on fixing this issue that is affecting transfers to Australia (and other countries) and we should expect it during the month of January". This begs a few questions: did my bank refuse the transfer, or is there a technical issue on Azimo's end? If the latter, why was this information not readily available on their website? At the very least why was I not made aware of this when Azimo requested that I set up a second transfer? My helpful friend signed off with "Meanwhile have a nice day!", choosing to forget that people who don't buy their partners Christmas presents do not have a nice day, or indeed a nice week. Moral of the story: don't bother. Azimo suck ASS-imo. So ends this Yuletide tale of woe. Off to a better provider I go.

Transfer incl. cash pick up is supposed to be able to happen immediately if paying by credit card - within one day I received notification that the beneficiary can pick up the money - however, local bank refused to pay out any money and azimo insists that everything is fine one their side cause the system says so. lost the transaction fees and had to cancel the transaction. NEVER AGAIN
