“I signed up for a credit card with Choice Priledges. Need to spend $1000 in 3 months. I receive card 2 weeks after applying. I try to use card but there is a $1000 limit so can't get above it to spend. Everytime I tried to spend it said over the credit limit. This is into the 2nd month. I finally get it to extend my credit limit but did not get it in time to go over $1000. Calling Barclays they say its from the day they approve and its too bad so sad I couldn't do it in that time period. I tried to tell them THEY would not allow my card to charge over $1000 but again they say too bad so sad. I went up to within a dollar of the $1000 but still its too bad so sad. I closed my card! To lose a customer for less than a buck is very poor management.”

“Terrible bank terrible service tried opening a business bank account waited 6 weeks to be told no. When trying to ring took over 3 hours without a answer . There are much better banks offering good service barclays is appalling and the service department are rude. I know of others who have had very poor service from barclays i hope to take my money elsewhere now .”
“3 month to apply for the bounce back loan, 15 hours on the phone and waiting two week after loan approval and still no funds. Two complaints with no response and staff that can't help you.

“Most horrible bank. Every time I go there long queue staff are very rude specially Kingsbury branch. Poor customer service specially now they have excuse for COVID-19 and they very lazy I’ve just been today. After 3 hours standing there I went in there was only two counters and only one or two person go at the time I saw them sitting and do nothing no matter how big queue is out there! I just closed my account and never ever use this useless back.”
“It's the most horrible bank.I being international student had a students account with Barclays.4 days ago it suddenly blocked my online banking n debit card without any reason.My every penny is legal n it blocked my money without caring for customers right.I will take the matter with UOB students guild n fight against the fake bank n ask UOB to consider it's branch at UOB.”
“Discusting service been hung up on 3 times know one is answering once i get re diverted which has been everytime i have been on the phone for just under 3 hours then before that i was on the phone nearly a hour each time 4th time i have called also been in branch and still can not get through to business banking. No reason at all to still be on the phone for this long with no answer you should book to call people back asap if thats the case its not acceptable.”

Have put a complaint in but have to wait for 2 weeks before i will get and answer. Barklase is a joke at the moment. so will be closing my accounts with them as there performance is unprofessional and frustrating.”
