We have 2 holidays this year booked with Barrhead. We are due to go on a tour to USA in July. The airlines have offered me the chance to change my flights or have vouchers. I contacted Barrhead 8 weeks ago asking if I can change my tour - no answer but I did get a request to pay the final payment. Foolishly I did this as my insurance company advised to do this. Like everyone else...... no reply! I am also going on a cruise in November booked through Barrhead (Cambrian Cruises). By chance I was looking on the cruise company website and noticed my cruise had been cancelled. I contacted them and they immediately confirmed this was the case and next day refunded my excursion. Have I heard from Barrhead.... No! And when I log on my booking has disappeared. They have my deposit and I want it back. Any communication would be nice. Do we know if there is anybody there?? I think the staff have all gone home! Customer service, what’s that. Never Again will I book with them.

Despite several emails and attempts to telephone them i am getting no replies. Quick to take bookings and deposits and then no follow ups. Still waiting for them to contact after 2 months.

Barrhead travel cancelled my trip to Turkey that was due to take place in early May. I have sent repeated emails requesting a full refund but all you get is ignored. This company has been refunded by Jet2 and is holding my £1200. Bunch of fraudsters hiding behind the covid 19 excuse. They dont care about their customers, they just want to sit on their money. I dont want a voucher, i want my money refunded asap. A totally immoral organisation. I will never use use this firm again. Hang your head in shame.

My April holiday was cancelled in March and have still not received my refund. After waiting for 6 weeks, I emailed Barrhead Travel on 29th April asking for my refund. They replied in a phone call and a follow up email on the same day stating they had emailed Jet2's Trade Relations department to decline the credit voucher and to ask for a full refund that would then be paid back to me. That's around 12 weeks in total now. As a result I had no other option other than to have raised cases with resolver.co.uk, ABTA, the Competitions and Markets Authority on the Government's website and raised the issue in an email directly to the Secretary of State for Transport Grant Schapps.

Dreadful non service from Barrhead..support local businesses, not now. Barrhead do not respond to emails and phone calls. Are they holding on to customers money.

I waited patiently when cruise was cancelled and started emailing in April still no response all I want to do is rebook !! They keep sending me emails to book new holidays though surely someone can call me to discuss

We were due to go on holiday on June 8th 2020. Despite numerous e-mails to them over several weeks I have had absolutely no contact from Barrhead Travel with regards to my options. Very, very poor customer service from a company I have used for more than 15 years. I have other holidays booked with this company and need to transfer my deposits onto other holidays but unable to do this until I can make contact with them. There is a time limit for these deposits to be transferred. Very disappointed.

There seems to be a lot of consumers in the very same situation as ourselves with Barrhead. I can’t put a link onto this so if we all could go onto the uk government web site. “Protecting consumers during the coronavirus pandemic CMA’s task force“ Read it an then fill in the online complaint form against Barrhead. If we all could work together we might get our cash refunds an answers. Barrhead should not be a loud to sell more package holidays until they refund existing consumers who has lost out An please barrhead stop blocking an deleting my reviews as I’m tell the truth an what are yous trying to hide

Don’t want to even give you 1 star. Service is the worst I have ever known. I’m a long standing customer going 3or 4 times a year. I was due to travel on 5th April and not even as much as a phone call My colleagues all booked with jet 2 and have refunds within a week I’m due £4500 I will never use Barrhead travel again

we have been trying to contact anyone in your office for a refund on a failed cruise but with no success. We will have to follow other route to claim our money back,through charge back unless we hear from you sooner than later.

No one to contact about a refund. Messaging is poor. Communications are unclear. Feels like they aren’t even trading anymore. Still don’t have a refund by the way.

It shouldn't even be 1 star!!! I have to advise everyone to never book with this company. Regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had a bad experience with them when booking a holiday 2 years ago and put it down to 1 staff member but, unfortunately it would seem it is the same kind of bad customer treatment, regardless of who you deal with. They are very quick to make sure you pay ALL of your money but, when you try to contact them about a refund, no reply. Even the tour company, our holiday is booked with can not get any reply from them. We have sent about 5 emails over the last 6 weeks and they still have not even had the decency to tell us our holiday has been cancelled by the tour operator. We should have had tickets sent to us, book and pay for an appointment for the embassy to apply for visas. But still no reply from them. Then when we go to Barrhead Travel website to try and login to retrieve our booking it does not recognise the details, so it appears we have no holiday with them now!!!!!!! Our holiday insurance will not accept a cancellation without Barrhead confirming the holiday has been cancelled, so we have lost this money too as we are due to fly in 7 days time. This company has cost us alot of money, that is desperately needed for a family to survive in times like this but they do not seem to understand, or care that people have families to feed and people have lost their jobs too. We will never book any other trip with this company and can only advise people to stay well away from them. Ever Jet2 treated us better than this at the beginning of the pandemic and refunded our money just a few weeks after telling us a short trip holiday was cancelled. All we can say is NEVER AGAIN!!

My holiday to rome was cancelled In March, I have sent emails to barrhead travel and they just reply with automated emails there is no other way to get in touch with them ,there customer service is disgusting, I dont know when I am going to get a refund ,they just dont reply I will never use this company again

We were booked on a Celebrity cruise on 13 March 2020. We completed the paperwork for a refund immediately. We first emailed Barrhead Travel on 10 April and received the standard email saying they were busy but would respond. We have since phoned Celebrity direct and was told our refund was issued to Barrhead on 22 April. Whilst we appreciate you must be inundated with emails surely it is only fair you process the oldest cases first. Certainly doesn’t give us any confidence to book with you again!!

I have been blocked from all social media for trying to contact about my refund due to Covid-19 cancellation. Please DO NOT BOOK WITH BARHEAD TRAVEL, if you do & there is a second wave you will NOT receive your refund or any correspondence but they happily post daily to advertise future holidays, absolutely shocking, unprofessional service, never again 🤬🤬🤬

Reading the reviews is it not about time barrhead travel answered the negative comments No contact with customers due to fly out on holiday Very slow in handing out refunds Customer care non existent
