“Disappointed - Waited over an hour for food and what came was pretty dismal. Vegan burger was inedible, tasteless patty, got the order mixed up, dirty knife, jacket potato skin was so hard baked you couldn't cut through it, no sauce or condiments offered. When we asked for vinegar they brought it in an open ramekin. Coffee was not hot, milk shake was mostly air, tea bag was burst in teapot, all overpriced, shame it was supposed to be a birthday treat. Please don't accept so many customers if you can't attend to them properly.”
“I visited Beckworth with my sister, we both ordered the quiche. It was the worst meal I have eaten at any restaurant. The quiche was over cooked and very dry as well the potatoes. Most definitely not worth the £12.95 we paid.
Will I come back? Highly unlikely”
“Excellent service which comes as standard. The lovely Elaine looked after us today. Lunch was awesome as usual and lots to look at in the garden centre and shop. If you haven't been I recommend 100%.”
“We have been many times. Today went for afternoon tea for three, paid for with a birthday gift voucher.
Really lovely gift as the food is great and well presented. Busy because it was at weekend, Beckworths don’t take bookings. Given a ‘buzzer’ to tell us when a table is free. This works well generally, however today we had a 94 year old with us, she couldn’t walk far to look around, or stand for long. It would’ve been nice to have been offered a chair while we waited. After a while we had to firmly insist she be given a chair. I appreciate they would like folks to look around and be tempted to buy but not every customer is able to do that. In summary we could have been made more welcome. Food and food service excellent.”

“Ordered food and sat and watched while everyone around me who came in after me was served with food. I’d only ordered a crayfish sandwich which shouldn’t take too long to prepare. When it came it was tasteless and the bread was old. If it hadn’t had lemon on it wouldn’t have tasted of anything.
Bad service, tasteless meal, but top price.

“I contacted the team at Beckworth with an enquiry on outdoor furniture that they stocked that I found through my online search. Ethan handled my questions promptly and professionally. He was flexible and adapted to demands that were a little different to their norm. He even arranged delivery for the next day which far surpassed my expectations. Honestly the best customer service experience I’ve had. Delivery was on time, despite the driver having to be redirected due to unforeseen circumstances. Great team. I would highly recommend.”
“We went today for breakfast which was very nice ! but when we asked for the bill the waitress came added up all we had on the card machine then asked if we wonted to leave a tip I really think that is out of order and puts you in a very uncomfortable position and out of order will will not be going again”
“Our Grandaughter and partner treated my husband and I to afternoon tea, best one yet. We asked for the smoked salmon to be replaced with ham or cheese, it was no problem at all. Staff very helpful, lovely atmosphere.
One of the best garden centres and food shop so much to choose from. All plants looked healthy and cared for. Definitely be visiting again. Well done everyone. Regards Carol & Derek”
“Love the shop and restaurant but very disappointed with the meat pies we already had to complain about the steak and mushroom ones, thought we would try them once more but it was dreadful hardly any meat and pastry nothing like they used to be definitely won't be buying again. My daughter said her ones were the same. We have always brought our meet from the butchers but that isn't as good as it was. Very disappointed.”
