“I have tried to cancel an order as I decided to buy locally (stupidly didn't realise this company is based in NI). They will not answer the phone and you cannot send an email using their website email form. I am very annoyed (mainly with myself for not checking the reviews). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.”
“DO NOT deal with this company. Poor quality plants (leaves diseased) and dreadful customer service. Tried to complain to company before writing bad review, but their response was blunt and totally unhelpful! Wish I’d read other reviews first, then I wouldn’t have bought from them!”
“Dreadful service avoid this nursery at all cost. Was sent a diseased virtually dead tree and they have done nothing to apologise or remedy the situation.”
“Ordered an azalea, brilliantly packaged - no damage and better than I expected as I've never bought plants online before.... really impressed that I've ordered some more 😁”
“I contacted the seller via email prior to ordering and received a prompt and helpful reply. Once ordered the items arrived very well packaged and were in no way damaged. The little trees were very healthy and have replanted well. I would definitely use this company again. Thank you”
“I bought 10 alder saplings, 8 of which were dead. We are a farming family and know the difference between 'dormant' and 'dead'. The stems were shrivelled and brittle. On notifying the seller he said there was nothing wrong with them and refused to replace them or to refund saying they were backward because of the recent bad weather. We planted them carefully just in case he was right but as expected they were dead. I contacted him twice more including photos to request refund/replacement but got no response at all. I could forgive the seller for the condition of the plants, mistakes do happen, but his response is unforgivable. This seller is rude and arrogant. He sells substandard stock and takes no responsibility for it. Would advise everyone to take their custom elsewhere, there are plenty of good retailers out there. If in doubt just read the feedback on Ebay.”
“3fatpigs also trade as Beechwoodtrees on Ebay
3fatpigs also trade as Beechwoodtrees selling on Ebay.
I would advise anyone to avoid this company and buy from the many nurseries who will sell you quality products, give good aftercare and if something goes wrong, put it right !!!
I bought a bare root Quince tree via Ebay from this company, the tree arrived without any root protection and poorly packed. The tree was planted correctly, staked and kept damp. Spring came and went but the quince tree showed no sign of life. I contacted Beechwood to be told that it was due to the cold weather and not to worry. Sometime later I contacted them again, this time I was told they expected the tree to be in full leaf in 3 weeks. Nothing happened! Once again contacted Beechwood and sent photographs of the lifeless quince tree, they replied that there was green on the tree so it must be okay.
I have no idea what they were looking at as the pictures I sent was of a completely dead tree.
Have a look at other reviews as I am not alone with being supplied inferior products. DO NOT BUY FROM BEECHWOODTREES ON EBAY
Follow up - This further demonstrates the type of company you are dealing with. Note sent to me on the 10th July via Trustpilot. "You are a lying ..........." Unable to type the swear word as its inappropriate language.
I would also add that 3fatpigs will say that this is another fake review, check out their record on this review site and others, unlikely that multiple people take the trouble to write fake reviews. If the company acted in a responsible manor and put things right when they go wrong they wouldn't have such a bad rating and bad reviews.”
“Terrible experience, very poor plants, over 50% of my order failed and the rest developed diseases which I believed overwintered on the bare roots. My advice go to a company which offered a guarantee.”
“I left the below review on another site and was going to leave it at that. However after the appalling insults thrown at me today I've updated my review, contacted the reviewing media with a complaint, evidenced the purchase, evidenced the insults and am considering taking action over the foul language made by a company that appears to have upset too many people.

Early June 2019.
I'm not a business just a customer that paid £24-99 for a Granny Smiths tree from these people.
I purchased this tree just over a week ago and when it arrived it looked almost dead. The leaves were brown, it was spindly and the way it was shipped was shocking (although I don't know a better way to ship it) It was a shocking specimen and nothing like the advert portrayed. I realise there's always a difference between advertising and the actual item but really......
Anyway we planted it on the day we received it and kept our fingers crossed. Within 48hrs the tree started to display black spots as well so we got someone to look at it and they confirmed it had a fungus infection so we spent more money to try and save/treat it.
I contacted 3fatpigs (T/A Beechwood Trees) by email and got a response back within 24hrs. I was told to forward a photograph to them. This I immediately did and they responded telling me there was nothing wrong, there was no black spots, they have their stock regularly checked and basically giving me the "go away" vibe.
So I now have a tree that we are trying to save, I've had to purchase treatments for this tree and I paid £24-99 for the pleasure.
Adding insult to injury 3fatpigs sent me an email asking me to review the transaction with them so I answered honestly and politely but didn't pull any puches. After vetting the review they failed to print it....what a surprise.
I have no idea what response they may now leave to the feedback I've left here but all of the above is 100% true, I have a trail from the point of purchases to leaving this feedback to evidence the above and I certainly do NOT recommend doing business with this crowd.....please give me my money back !!

I've just received a response to this review from 3fatpigs which I believe is not visible to the public.
The response read "You're a lying a......e" I think that speaks for itself. I've also noticed they have used the above terminology towards other reviewers so I'm contemplating reporting them for foul language and intimidating behavior.
I wish I'd read the other reviews before I purchased from these people.
I also note my review is under investigation on the grounds that its a fake review (along with numerous others) As stated above I can evidence the item was purchased, show the payment details and confirm the conversations I had with a 3fatpigs employee....twice.”

“Seemed like good prices so thought I would give them a go, purchased through Amazon on the 24th March; prime delivery not included so i paid for their 3-5 day shipping, estimated arrival 1st April.
April 1st came and went, message sent by Amazon that it was delayed with no info why. April 2nd they asked for a review! Left a poor one on Amazon: FINALLY
contacted directly by the seller (Graeme) who sarcastically said it was my fault as I hadn't contacted them, even though they had sent automated messages about the late delivery. He then tried to bribe me with a free plant if I would change the review. He replied to three messages again sarcastically insinuating it was my fault, but never bothered to dispatch the late items; I had to get Amazon to force them to refund the price in the end as they would not respond.
I can't comment on the plant quality as i never actually received any, but as a landscaper with 10 years experience in dealing with numerous garden centres and nurseries, this is by far the most unnecessarily difficult and rudest company I have ever been in contact with -
Avoid at all costs!”
“Ordered bare root hedging plants. Took a bit of time to arrive by post but when they got here I am extremely pleased. Good quality, healthy, large plants. Would have cost me 2/3 more if bought as individual plants at a garden centre. Can highly recommend.”
