Thanks for the lovely review! We've just moved into a new, bigger warehouse allowing us to bring an additional 400 beers from around the world to the website, make sure you check back often to see what's new!

Shocking service. Don't order an advent calendar. No calendar and no response on Facebook or email. Will be pulling my money back through Visa with my bank after reporting to Citizens Advice.

Having read so many reports of Beer Hawks demise AFTER placing my most recent order I feared the worse. Thankfully the beers turned up over 2 days, the first part only 2 days from ordering. I had no e-mail notification, but luckily one was left in a safe place, the second I was in to take delivery of. As usual the beers are wonderful, it was only the communication that was lacking this time, hopefully something they can resolve.

Hi Timbo, unfortunately our customer service elves have been dealing with a high number of requests recently. This was due to our recent warehouse move which we are now settled in to. We're back up and running at our usual speedy service now so you shouldn't have any further issues. Glad the beers got to you on time and you're enjoying them! Thanks for the review. :)

Ordered the beer advent calander, when it arrived the beers had been put in backwards so cannot open the doors to get beer out! I have contacted them via telephone and was told someone would call me back - which they haven't done. I have also emailed a complaint with no response! Terrible customer service and poor product!!! Would not order from again!

Really sorry that the elves in the warehouse seem to have put your advent calendar together backwards! If you want a fresh one delivering we'll be very happy to do so, although the outer sleeve is easily removed and turned over so if you'd prefer a quicker solution that might work too. Huge apologies for the error.

I ordered an Advent Calendar back in September for delivery on Nov 7th. Having read various bad reviews about non delivery I was concerned it may not turn up. However I got a confirmation text on the morning with a delivery slot and as promised it arrived. I had even contacted Beer Hawk to check all was OK with order to which they promptly replied. I can't fault the service I have received and won't hesitate to use again.

Great products but very poor communication. It appears that the company was moving it's warehouse and there was no logistical management as far as dealing with existing and new orders was concerned. Several phone calls seemed to produce little or no result. Email communication was very delayed as was my delivery which took three separate deliveries over 10 days from the first package arrival to the third package arriving. None were delayed by the carrier as is evidenced by the despatch dates on the boxes. This is the worst example of negative customer care that I have ever experienced.

Hi Duncan, you're right, unfortunately we haven't been performing at our best recently because of our warehouse move and the increase in customer enquiries during the Christmas period. The good news is, now we're settled in, we have resumed our normal speedy service and can provide an even bigger range of beers from around the world! Excelent website, free carriage over £50 order (obviously an inset I've to place a big order rather than lots of small ones). Courier delivered on time and direct to my garage, boxed most efficiently and well protected, couldn't ask better than that, all I had to do was move my 39 bottles to the shelf. A good selection, being consumed with great delight. Hmm, another order before Christmas most definitely on the cards.

After the hiccups that occurred after the site move, I can gladly report that Beer Hawk are back to their usual selves. Great beer, great glasses, fast delivery. Thanks to customer support for the tokens regarding the nightmare I had recently.

beer great, problem with the case of Halloween beer that I ordered on the 20th of oct ready for a party on the 29th phoned on the 27th will my beer be deliver in time ans yes sorry about delay be with you fri 28th no beer when I got home phoned sat 29th am still no beer !!! it will be with you this morning , then message form delivery frim we will be delivering your beer between 4 and 5pm not a lot of good to me has I was leaving to go to party at 12,30 pm ,girl on phone offered to £5 of beer tokens but as I not got an account not a lot off good to me but I do appreciate the offer still not sure what to do with beer regard's N D

Seems I'm having the same problems as a lot of people. Processing for 3 days, in warehouse 2 days (and counting). Sent message 2 days ago, no reply. As this is our first order really not impressed.

After my first order arrived within a couple of days and carriers kept informed about delivery times etc....I was very impressed. Second order was the polar opposite. Spent nearly two weeks chasing the order up....eventually did arrive....no contact from courier and left round back of my house....I suspect that the process of expanding and moving to new warehouse has left Beerhawks in chaos. Will not be using again until can see evidence of this being rectified :-(

Hi Tony, Really sorry you had a bad experience as a result of our move - there were a handful of orders that were delivered outside our promised lead times, so i'm very sorry about that. Glad to say we are settled in and orders are going out within 24 hrs in some cases. Regards, Chris

Used Beer Hawk many times. Always very competitive on prices and has a brilliant selection of beers from around the world. Customer service is always 1st class and extremely friendly. Delivery is within a couple of days and had no problems. Wouldn't go anywhere else! :-)

I ordered an Advent calendar as a surprise for my husband on October 4th. There was an option to pick a delivery date, and I picked November 3rd, when my husband would be away on business. On November 3rd I stayed home all day, but nothing arrived. I called Beer Hawk, and it appeared that my order hadn't even been shipped yet. The invoice says that 'on rare occasions our couriers may take a little longer', so my only order from BH was that rare occasion. I guess this line should be understood as 'nobody knows when you're going to receive your order'. I'm leaving myself soon, so whenever the calendar arrives, my husband will have to receive it, and it will ruin the intended surprise. Great job, Beer Hawk. Especially with your promoted Christmas item.

Dealing with Beerhawk was not a pleasant consumer experience unfortunately. Ordered a case from their web site and money was debited from my account. Remained in pre-order status for an unusually long period of time. I queried by email. No response after 4 days. Chased again, no response. Chased again, finally Beth emailed me and explained there was a stock issue and my case would be dispatched in a few days once stocks had been replenished. No surprise that the case did not arrive after another week. Made 8 call attempts and finally got through to someone who could not provide any information, I would need to speak to head office and someone would call me. No surprise, no call back. Chased again and eventually got through to a member of the head office team who explained that there would be no more stock and requested refunds for the case I had ordered + the Advent calendar which was due for dispatch a few weeks later. In summary, they should not take money from people and then not deliver and not communicate. Items should clearly state out of stock when they are unavailable on their site and if their current CMS does not allow them to do this, they need to invest in an upgrade. They also need to improve customer comms. As an outsider they appear to be a victim of their own success and whilst their social and content marketing is working well, their back office systems and employees are struggling to keep up with demand.

Jason, Thanks for your feedback and we take it seriously. We know we have made mistakes and this is down to some part to the systems we use. We are currently changing all our systems to make us much slicker and this will avoid the issues you have faced. Regards Stu

I have being using Beerhawk for nearly a year and have always been happy with the product. Delivery and service have been patchy but standards have now plummeted. It is 8 days since I placed my order for a number of cases and it is still in the warehouse. To date :- 1 email - answered telling me there were warehousing issues but 'assuring' me that it would be dispatched in 24 hours - this was 4 days ago 1 email - my response to this - is still unanswered - 3 days ago 10 phone calls - simply not answered - just rings out 3 phone calls - sorry we are just order takers - we can't do anything - 2 telling me head office would ring back - to date no call 1 phone call - 2 days ago - sorry we were waiting for some bottles in - but I will dispatch the rest today and will give you beer tokens in recompense - to date no dispatch and no tokens. This has the classic signs of a company in turmoil or distress - I would recommend -as a previously loyal customer that you look elsewhere - as I will with my future orders. Graeme, Thanks for the feedback - we take all feedback seriously and as you stated we had warehousing issues, moving warehouse so close to Christmas probably was not our finest move... however we have resolved all the issues and are back on track. Cheers Stu
