I ordered a beer advent calendar on 22nd October and choose the delivery date of 1st November. We waited in this delivery and it did not arrived. I contacted the company a few days later and received a reply stating my order would be delivered in a few days with a :-) at the end of the email. This made me even more frustrated as I had already stated I was not happy. Further emails I received did not have a name at the end so I do not knowmwho I was talking to. I was promised more and more delivery dates with a 100% guarantee it would arrive today, if not today, tomorrow, etc! I was concerned I had fallen victim to a scam so contacted watchdog. I have since got my money back. I do not trust this company. There is a serious lack of customer service and communications are extremely poor. Promises are continually broken.

Am still awaiting my advent calender. Only had once response to several emails to say I would receive it today and still no parcel. The serious lack of communication is shocking especially when they have already taken the monies from my bank account. I am not impressed at all.

Paid for a fast delivery, no sign of the order, called and was promised a different delivery day and still nothing. I still don't know if/when I'll get my order.

i had the same problem with the delivery, the delivery expectations are not managed properly at all. i am very disappointed and still don't know if the package is going to be delivered. I wouldn't recommend, very poor service

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered two weeks ago, phoned after four days to check they received order. They promised me the beer another four days later. Phoned four days later and mentioned the beer was a birthday gift for the next day. They apologised again and guaranteed me delivery for the next day. 24 hours later I receive a despatch email stating I'll receive in two days. Still nothing. What a let down.

I too ordered the advent calendar which was due on the 18th of October it's now the 19th of November and I'm still waiting. It's been six weeks since I placed my order. Shocking customer service. On contacting them I've been told "It'll be with you tomorrow," "A bottle broke so it was returned," and "the couriers have it." Clearly it has never been sent, I've since asked for a refund to which they've not responded... Avoid like the plague better companies out there.

I was due to take delivery of the advent calendar on 4th November and a fortnight later still no calendar. I have contacted BH twice and each time received really lame excuses - the first time one of the beers had been delayed, the second time it had been damaged and returned, though no dispatch notification had been sent for either. Basically, I was fobbed off twice! Given that the product wasn't cheap either I'd recommend that people go elsewhere. Find a reliable company that fulfils its orders. I was shocked when I read the number of negative reviews on here. If your couriers were really bad, I think they'd have gone out of business! I shall be asking for a refund, though I'm not sure I'll get one.

Ordered the advent calendar. Due on 7th November. Then promised by the 14th but that did not show up too. I feel like it's taken the fun out of an expensive treat.

Order placed 28th October for delivery in three working days. I am still thirsty and no contact back from Customer Services. If you cannot fulfil, please return my £55.

Given a voucher by a relative but not drinking now so asked if I could have a refund (minus a small handling charge). They initially said yes, twice, then changed their mind and said no. They then said they could only refund the gift giver but as I didn't want to offend the giver, I had to order drink that I didn't really want and which was a bit pricey in my opinion. Not very good at all in this day and age.

I researched and placed my order, only to call up and told it had been cancelled with no reason given. The order could not be automatically placed again, instead the customer services gave me a list of what I ordered for me to go online and place the order again. Which is quite inconvenient and time consuming. It was also for a birthday present and now over a week late. I go online this morning to re-order and the site isn't working, I am unable to add anything to basket. They have a good selection of beer but the order process needs drastic improvements. I havent managed to try any beer yet!!

Shocking service. Don't order an advent calendar. No calendar and no response on Facebook or email. Will be pulling my money back through Visa with my bank after reporting to Citizens Advice.

Ordered the beer advent calander, when it arrived the beers had been put in backwards so cannot open the doors to get beer out! I have contacted them via telephone and was told someone would call me back - which they haven't done. I have also emailed a complaint with no response! Terrible customer service and poor product!!! Would not order from again!

Really sorry that the elves in the warehouse seem to have put your advent calendar together backwards! If you want a fresh one delivering we'll be very happy to do so, although the outer sleeve is easily removed and turned over so if you'd prefer a quicker solution that might work too. Huge apologies for the error.

Seems I'm having the same problems as a lot of people. Processing for 3 days, in warehouse 2 days (and counting). Sent message 2 days ago, no reply. As this is our first order really not impressed.

I ordered an Advent calendar as a surprise for my husband on October 4th. There was an option to pick a delivery date, and I picked November 3rd, when my husband would be away on business. On November 3rd I stayed home all day, but nothing arrived. I called Beer Hawk, and it appeared that my order hadn't even been shipped yet. The invoice says that 'on rare occasions our couriers may take a little longer', so my only order from BH was that rare occasion. I guess this line should be understood as 'nobody knows when you're going to receive your order'. I'm leaving myself soon, so whenever the calendar arrives, my husband will have to receive it, and it will ruin the intended surprise. Great job, Beer Hawk. Especially with your promoted Christmas item.

Dealing with Beerhawk was not a pleasant consumer experience unfortunately. Ordered a case from their web site and money was debited from my account. Remained in pre-order status for an unusually long period of time. I queried by email. No response after 4 days. Chased again, no response. Chased again, finally Beth emailed me and explained there was a stock issue and my case would be dispatched in a few days once stocks had been replenished. No surprise that the case did not arrive after another week. Made 8 call attempts and finally got through to someone who could not provide any information, I would need to speak to head office and someone would call me. No surprise, no call back. Chased again and eventually got through to a member of the head office team who explained that there would be no more stock and requested refunds for the case I had ordered + the Advent calendar which was due for dispatch a few weeks later. In summary, they should not take money from people and then not deliver and not communicate. Items should clearly state out of stock when they are unavailable on their site and if their current CMS does not allow them to do this, they need to invest in an upgrade. They also need to improve customer comms. As an outsider they appear to be a victim of their own success and whilst their social and content marketing is working well, their back office systems and employees are struggling to keep up with demand.

Jason, Thanks for your feedback and we take it seriously. We know we have made mistakes and this is down to some part to the systems we use. We are currently changing all our systems to make us much slicker and this will avoid the issues you have faced. Regards Stu

I have being using Beerhawk for nearly a year and have always been happy with the product. Delivery and service have been patchy but standards have now plummeted. It is 8 days since I placed my order for a number of cases and it is still in the warehouse. To date :- 1 email - answered telling me there were warehousing issues but 'assuring' me that it would be dispatched in 24 hours - this was 4 days ago 1 email - my response to this - is still unanswered - 3 days ago 10 phone calls - simply not answered - just rings out 3 phone calls - sorry we are just order takers - we can't do anything - 2 telling me head office would ring back - to date no call 1 phone call - 2 days ago - sorry we were waiting for some bottles in - but I will dispatch the rest today and will give you beer tokens in recompense - to date no dispatch and no tokens. This has the classic signs of a company in turmoil or distress - I would recommend -as a previously loyal customer that you look elsewhere - as I will with my future orders. Graeme, Thanks for the feedback - we take all feedback seriously and as you stated we had warehousing issues, moving warehouse so close to Christmas probably was not our finest move... however we have resolved all the issues and are back on track. Cheers Stu

I ordered a mixed Oktoberfest case and 5 loose bottles. After hearing nothing for 6 days I emailed customer services. I received a reply stating that there had been problems due to a warehouse move. The reply assured me that "nothing can excuse poor service", that my "satisfaction goes beyond all else" and that my order would be despatched within 24 hours. 4 days later, having heard nothing, I chased again. I received a reply early the next day saying that my order would be delivered that day. Hurrah! The delivery arrived in what seemed a rather small box. It turned out that I had only received the 5 loose bottles - there was no sign of the 15 bottle case. I chased again and was informed that there had been high demand for the case concerned and they had had an "issue" fulfilling some of their orders. I was again reassured that "nothing can excuse poor service", and that my "satisfaction goes beyond all else" and was informed that I would be reimbursed for the unavailable case. I replied again asking how the company intended to compensate me for the appalling service. (By this point my frustration was starting to show.) Customer services contacted me again 2 days later offering beer tokens as an apology. To date they have not appeared on my account.

we did not receive our beer or after the event so it went back it took them 10 days to deliver by that time our 18th birthday present was ruined i had to spend more money to get out of supermarket because you had my money for 3 weeks in all so unhappy customer my first experience too regard ann spark

Ann, we let you down and this is not how we like to work. We are looking into what failed and will put processes in place to ensure the same does not happen again.
