“Recently used Beerhawk for the first and last time. I took out an offer on their beer club, and paid my money for the first box which the website claims will arrive immediately. 3 weeks later I had not receive the box, and get an email telling me I've been charged for a second box at full price! So I send an email telling them to cancel my order, and finally my first box turns up! Customer service wise - the response is slow and I got a blank email reply at one point. They also claimed to have put £10 of beer tokens on my account - this has not been done. The only positives are that my money was refunded quickly, and the box I did eventually receive seems to have a good selection of beer in. Unfortunately my overall experience is too tarnished with the company for me to consider using them again.”

“The website was easy to use and the deals were very good. The main problem for me was the lack of communication with regards to the delivery. When I ordered it stated 3-5 working days, I had to take time off work to accept delivery as I ordered a larger case of beers. I called 3 days after my order to find out when it will be and was advised there was no update as they was busy with it being the Xmas period and to call back 2 days later. I ended up emailing 2 days later for an update and was told again that there is a delay due to it being the Xmas period. I replied to advise I needed to know in advance when it would be as I would need to take time off work and was given the same response as my original email. I understand that it being nearly Xmas it would have taken longer than normal and I was fine with that however I was only told the night before it was being delivered that it had despatched for next day delivery. If it wasn't for me chasing I would have received no update on my order. This is the main reason for my low score.”

“Had to chase order. Then gift vouchers not enclosed. After contacting you again sent e mail link I had to print off even though I ordered actual vouchers. Then you gave me £10 to spend as an apology but as I checked out as a guest could not access it. Sent you yet another email but no reply”

“Excellent concept with good beer selection except the design of the box was pretty poor. The tasting glass was broken on arrival (although quickly replaced free of charge) but the internal box structure holding the bottles had slightly collapsed meaning on some days you had to open the top of the box to get the beer out (and moving others in the process) rather than through the calendar door destroying the whole concept. Would buy again only only if structure was redesigned and made stronger to hold the weight of the bottles and cans. Also please look into stocking Harpoon IPA in the calendar. Found it in Boston, USA, and they are delicious. Award winning too.”

“I was happy with the service until I found out that the product that I paid £12 with postage for was selling for £2.50 in Asda! Very unlikely to look for things on Beer hawk again!”

“Delivery was slow, I only purchased one bottle of beer, for a present, but the label was tatty and giving is as a present was embarassing as it looked like it was purchased from a bargin shop. I did contact beer hawk and provided a photo however they did not bother to reply to me.”

“Not impressed with this company at all. My order never arrived. I received an email offering me free beer tokens due to late delivery, when I replied saying my order hadn't arrived I didn't get a response. I called and spoke to customer service and the girl who answered the phone didn't have a clue what she was doing. I asked for a refund as the order never arrived and she put me on hold for ages then came back and said she'd have to ring me back because the internet was about to go down and she didn't know if I could be refunded. Called em back a few minutes later (well that was a short internet outage wasn't it?!) and said I would be refunded. Total joke”

“Excellent and efficient ordering service with really useful notifications of when the delivery was going to arrive. Fantastic range of beer and the 'Hoptical' magazine that arrived with the order was essential reading, if you want to try World beers. Highly recommended.”

“Ok. You guys have amazing beers and glassware on offer. I find that when ordering you could be better at notifying that beers are not in stock.. as I have experienced partial deliveries and without a option I have been refunded, when I'd actually appreciate another beer as a substitute. Also the beer tokens isn't really a great reward and I mine have not been update and I have spent more lately?? Cheers Dale”

“First time ordering from this company and was a little disappointed - the beer was ordered well in advance of my brother's birthday, however took 10 days to be delivered (delivery time stated on website is 3-5 days) - admittedly when I emailed to find out what had happened to the order, staff got back to me and updated me, but still, would hesitate to order again”

“Totally useless, made 3 orders now and everyone has had issues, late delivery by a week past due, damaged bottles on another and final and last order was incorrect nothing good to say I'm afraid”
