you can not cancel online you have to phone them and you are put on hold. I was on hold for 30 minute before i gave up. I am just going to cancel my bank card

Terrible you will get signed up for a subscription I had no email or text to tell me I was going to receive a box just the money taken from the bank,rang the same day before it was shipped and they wouldn’t cancel or refund. Don’t use unless you want over priced not great beer

Very misleading - misleadingly get you on a subscription, then make it almost impossible to cancel.

AVOID AT ALL COST Exactly the same as others Trustpilot, I went for their promotion, and it automatically put me on their subscription without any way of knowing. I’ll admit I was in hospital at the time, on a lot of medication, saw the offer thought I’d try it to treat myself when I get out, I don’t often get myself anything. Then a few weeks later an email comes saying order dispatched and they’ve taken £60 out of my account!! It’s left me with no money for food for the month, I desperately tried contacting them for a refund and to turn the item around, like others here I had no idea I was subscribed to anything. I told them I’ll have no money for food for the month I’d never have signed up to this!! All they did 48 hours later was emailing me giving me screenshots of pages I’d never seen when on their site, and hid behind their T&C’s like weasels. This company is a con, and their business approach came from a plan they must have found at the bottom of a toilet. This company is best avoided. I’ll be taking this further it’s not right what they’re doing.

Very hard to cancel, have to call and wait for at least 45m. Not worth any free beer tbh. Should be an option to cancel online as with most subscriptions services.

They use a subscription trap - you sign up online (in my case a facebook advert) for a low cost trial case. What you don't see is the small print saying you've signed up for a monthly delivery at £3.30 per small can. You get no notification until after the next unwanted case is despatched. They refuse to take the unwanted case back. Cancelling involves being on hold for 40 minutes and an argument about corrupt subscription trap cons. And finally, the beer is horrible, I only drank a couple from my first box, and the 2nd is unopened. I'll be taking them to the small claims court for their unfair contract terms.

They make it as hard as possible to cancel over the phone with pushy sales tactics and once the next monthly £27 is taken they will simply refuse to refund it whatsoever, also the beers are very overpriced for what you get, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

They supposedly offer the option of 'gifts' You can choose one and pay for it in full upon purchase. The unsuspecting receiver of said 'gift' then still has to sign up for a 'subscription' having to hand over their card details as well as remembering to cancel the subscription or run the risk of their card being charged. This is not how a gift to someone should work - a gift should not become burdensome for the receiver. You guys have taken the fun out of gift giving and receiving!

They make it impossible to cancel - intentionally leave you on hold with the same track of music looping to try and drive you made and get you to give up - any good subscription service lets you cancel without calling - avoid these scam artists at all costs.

No respect, empathy or pragmatism in supporting customers I am incredibly disappointed of the customer service. After a couple months of orders (good wine), I deactivated my subscription, or I thought I did. Yet, I find that £48 were payed from my end, which is significantly more than my previous payments. I call immediately, on the same day as the payment is taken out, before the order is despatched. However, I receive an extremely unhelpful response: "We will review your previous calls to see if you mentioned the words cancel my membership" and "unfortunately terms and conditions state you have to let us know days in advance". This type of service is unfair, there is no respect or empathy or pragmatism for customers, they are seen as numbers ticking the terms and conditions box. There was no support in terms of helping me refund the payment and on top of that, I had been lured to add an extra bottle to my deliveries, marketed as a gift, but then this translates into a further £15. Whatever they say, I encourage you to try different wine or beer providers (e.g. nakedwine) which will provide more human customer service support.

Great first box, delivery etc fab. Wanted to cancel as I do not drink beer and it was too much a month for my partner to drink. You spend ages on the phone trying to speak to someone. When you get through, it is like you are being interrogated. You are made to feel bad about cancelling. You are offered extra stuff for free or a discount. I stated I would like to cancel both beer and wine subscription. This was finally agreed. 2 months later then I was billed for another beer box. You cannot get hold of anyone for this. I was told I agreed to further boxes, which I know I did not. I asked for the transcript of the call, which was sent and was incorrect. They would not accept the beer as a return, even if declined at delivery. What a terrible useless company. Highly annoyed at this service!!! Avoid it and buy local!!!

Beer itself was good, but I paused my subscription for a couple of months, and they still charged and tried to ship me the beer. And had to wait 5 minutes on a call to them- what respectable company that isn't trying to scam you won't let you cancel online? Beer itself: 4/5, customer service: 0/5

I've had few boxes from Beer 52. Compared their prices of c. £28 for 8 beers, they are massively overpriced. My main issue is that they have made it very difficult to cancel in the same way you sign up. You can only cancel by way of a phone call, so you have to be free to speak, able to get through to them and sit through someone trying to persuade you to stay before you can leave. I have attempted to call the number they give to cancel multiple times a day for weeks, and all I get is a recorded message saying all of their agents are busy, no place in a queue, no going into a system. Just that message (which costs me money to hear) and then it hangs up. So I emailed, within 28 days, to cancel. Despite not yet having dispatched the next case, they still sent it and charged me for it. I do not want it and they will not accept a return, collect it, allow me to send it back or refund me for it. This is despite extensive correspondence on the matter with them. So a waste of time and money. Despite having told me you cancel anytime within 28 days, they are relying on some small print to say you have to cancel 3 days prior to dispatch (which was day 25) and that their goods cannot be returned under the Distance Selling Act. Clearly they just want people in the door, and then don't want them to cancel and are happy to have discontented customers with unwanted product. Given this, I certainly won't be using them again and I'm going to take it up to my card issuer.
