Customer service worst I've ever come across. Bought an electric bed, frame would not operate correctly, joke getting it repaired. Manufacturer came out and said bed not suitable for my weight (Bensons assured me it was). Lots of arguments, eventually new bed supplied. Motor blew up, wrong replacement supplied, eventually fixed. Motor has blown up again, Bensons want me to do all the running around to get fixed. Beds not even 3 years old. Would never buy again from Bensons, and would strongly recommend nobody else does, unless they like hassle.

My friend bought one of your beds a fault developed in it and she reported it a guy came out to asses the problem he said it was a manufacturing fault and tried to repair the fault which only lasted a short time once again she reported the fault and was given the run around. It seems the after care from Benson's is abismsll so I'm sorry but I cannot recommend Benson's for Beds to anyone

Absolutely appalling. Tried calling for my refunds, the lines keep saying the department is closed. I called between 9-5. Absolutely ridiculous. I will be cancelling my order altogether!

LIARS. THIEVES. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. SHAMEFUL! ZERO STARS. Mis-sold me a bed on 5th January. I swapped in store on 6th Feb for a more expensive bed with delivery scheduled for 6th March. My brother died suddenly, funeral was scheduled for 4th March. Begged them for a PM slot so I could pay someone to come and swap the beds as I would be on my own and grieving - not an ideal situation. They kept promising to call me back. Never did. When I did manage to speak to someone, the day before the funeral, they refused to pay the £80 for said dismantle/assemble service despite admitting they mis-sold the bed. Sent me a text during my brothers funeral to say it had been rescheduled for the 24th March. No apology. No explanation. I was beside myself with stress. Called them on the 5th, was told three different reasons why it was moved, initially BLAMING ME, saying I told them I wouldn't be available on that day?! Had to get my partner to deal with them as I couldn't cope. Kept date of 24th March. I rescheduled this delivery for the 9th April because I had COVID symptoms and didn't want to risk THEIR STAFF getting sick. Delivery was then cancelled because of lockdown. I get a text on 8th May to say it will be delivered on the 19th May. Tried calling to confirm promised PM slot. Could never get through. Sent two emails, which were completely ignored. Called twice yesterday, was PROMISED by Sam and Shawna it was on the truck and out for delivery today. Told them I have had no other confirmation bar the text on the 8th. Requested a manager to call and confirm PM slot, as promised the last three times. No call back. Today, still no text or call. I phoned CS to confirm delivery time for today. Told by Danielle that NOTHING was actually scheduled to be delivered today. I said I was promised yesterday, please check the notes. They LIED yet again and said they told me yesterday it WASN'T on the van and there was a problem with distribution!!! I have AGAIN asked for a call back from management and NOTHING. My partner is working 18-20 hours a day to ensure that healthcare patient safety systems are running to enable hospitals, care homes, and hospices around the world have adequate facilities to report on Covid-19, and he had to help me dismantle the bed yesterday, then SLEEP ON THE FLOOR and will now have to help me REBUILD IT when he wakes up before he carries on providing 24 hour support to front line services. This is not acceptable. You have taken my money and keep LYING to me regarding the deliveries. The way we have been treated is beyond disgusting. The attitude is disgraceful. I want my money back NOW. I am now contacting the Ombudsman to make a formal complaint. I will also be making a complaint to the ICO over the lack of information provided in response to a SAR and the very late compliance of this request which was in breach of the ICO SAR regulations. I have added my order number so no excuses not to check my account and resolve this issue. Not holding my breath though.

Absolute liars. Text received for delivery the guess what. Taken off the truck with a so called excuse we rang you to confirm. No phone call received. What was the point of the txt if a later so called phone call stops delivery. Their is only one thing bensons are professional at and that's telling lies to cover screw ups. No point in customer service as there is none. Just a less than clever person talking from a script. No help at all. Now because of their screw up I am sleeping on the floor. My advise to any one is yes bensons for beds sell quality products but unless you can collect it there and then don't trust them. The product is not quality when you don't have it. You have been warned

Ordered mattress prior to lockdown was due for delivery Before lockdown which was postponed Last minute and then cancelled due to lockdown . still waiting and despite emails and telephone call received no response or any updates on when delivery will be . Poor customer service .

Worst company I have ever dealt with! I cancelled my order as they weren’t delivering due to covid-19. Still waiting months later for a refund. Customer service is appalling and they tell you that you have to email their owner Steinhoff for a refund! Google them and see how they were fined millions for corrupt accounting. Avoid them at all costs!

Should be ZERO stars AVOID AT ALL COSTS.... Won't bore people with the details but this company should be closed down. The politest thing I can say. Robbing customers and elderly/disabled people. Guarantees aren't worth the paper they are written on. Absolute cowboys

This was without a doubt the worst retail purchasing experience of my life. This companies service is almost none existent and the company is almost totally disorganised. Sales staff take no responsibility at all after the sale. Lengthy or unanswered to customer service. Promises made and not kept on several occasions. Our order for beds was extremely important to us. The order was a total disaster, both beds delivered had halves that were not for our beds. This ended up that we had to wait a long time to have the beds we needed to be delivered and had to have a substitute bed, for the time being, this only happened after a lot of waiting on the phone. NEVER AGAIN. Not only will I not buy from Bensons beds i will also never use Harveys as I considered that if one is this bad then the other has the potential to be the same. Not only did i wait a long time BUT the beds took so many months to get rid of toxic factory smell that i almost considered taking them to the rubbish tip. I left them out in the sun to get the fresh air to them and finally after about 8 months the smell finally left. Now it is my feeling that this means the beds are not being made with non-toxic wood. I would be surprised if the base drawers and bed frame are formaldehyde-free. This may not only be unhealthy but probably breaks some rules to. I shall be investigating further.

Purchased a IGEL mattress last year. Mattress has started to dip on one side and is causing sleepless nights. Been emailing, phoning benson for beds customer service for over 4 weeks now. No joy. I will never use benson for beds again and I’ll make sure my friends and family stay away from the place.

Ordered and paid for a mattress through a store on 1st march expected delivery was 24th march. Due to covid 19 my delivery was cancelled but I was reassured I would be priority once deliveries commenced. I rang them to be told deliveries started 1 week ago but my mattress which I've paid for in full was out of stock and they couldn't give me a delivery date as they don't know when the mattress would be back in stock. I've had to cancel the order but now having to wait 30 days for a refund. Shocking. I won't be using Bensons for beds again!!

I ordered wardrobes in January and paid in full, they were due to be delivered in March however due to a 'cyber attack' this was not possible and were changed until 1st April. Now I understand were in lockdown but there has been no communication other places still have managed to deliver items! This is a joke cannot get through via the telephone never again will I use Bensons for beds!

I bought two wardrobes at the beginning of March! Iam still waiting for delivery, whilst i understand the current covid19 is causing problems i have had absolutely NO communication with them. I have emailed them several times and cannot get through on the phone. I wouldn’t recommend buying from them i am now going to go to trading standards as i fear i will not see my wardrobes or the several hundred pounds I’ve paid again! Angry is an understatement!! No courtesy email or anything! They were due to be delivered Good friday!

NEVER BUY A BED FROM HERE. NHS WORKER BROUGHT A BED DELIVERED END OCT. JANUARY IT BROKE, SENT A REPLACEMENT PART NOW WON'T GO BACK TOGETHER AND THEY WON;'T GIVE A REFUND. DAUGHTER HAS BEEN EXPECTED TO SLEEP ON FLOOR SINCE JANUARY AND THEY ARE SAYING THEY WON;T GIVE A REFUND OR COME TO COLLECT THE BED. BY THE TIME THEY CAN COLLECT SHE WILL HAVE SLEPT ON THE MATTRESS ON THE FLOOR FOR 6 MONTHS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND VERY STRESSFUL AS SHE IS NOW HAVING BACK PROBLEMS.

If you ever appreciate your good sleeping don't ever attemp to visit this store. I bought a bed in August with the purpose of securing a good sleeping. I was a wooden bed, costing £195.94. Just before triyng to use it for sleep, which is what a bed is for, the slats for the mattress base felt down and in my attempt to reconlocate, they broke. I had to call them and I got homeserve to come. They said that it was an assembly problem, and offered me just to replace the slats as a kind gesture. That was not true at all. They also state that I was sitting heavily on it. Not true. I sit normally and a wooden bed shuold be so cosistent, and the sole idea of they don't understand it makes me so impotent. I took the oppotunity for the new slats to work but they keep failing and I had home serve to come. They said that the slats keep falling because the is a slight incline on the floor. A wooden bed has to be so consitant to cope with a minimal incliationin the floor. I have been forced to look for a solution and I got some boards to replace the total functional mattress base, which costed me additional money. I had to pay for homeserve to come as well. In January one of the boards connecting the main boards conecting to the headboard felt down from the screws. I had them to review they said it was an accident. I am just freaking out, because I have not used the bed rather than for sleeping, which is a function of a bed. I am now through the process of complaining in The Furniture Onbudsman. I am still afraid of the problem, since the reports are not correct. All this issue has costed me additional money and I have been sleeping on the floor since them, which is causing me tremendous disconfort. So I advice to avoid this store as much as you can if you really apprecaite your rest and sleeping.

The bed sales was fine. On delivery they delivered the bed less the feet/castors which means you cannot open the bed drawers. I understand that this may be a Sealy Bed manufacturing quality control problem? We sent in a complaint. After 5 days we had a reply to say they could not answer our query as my Wife and sent in the fault and she is not the account Holder? We will try again and hopeful for an answer with parts sent so we can sleep on it?
