Disappointed in quality of kitchen doors and fitters. Still not completed kitchen after nearly 2,weeks . Left me with no sink,washer,fridge nor freezer for nearly 6 days. Issues with electrics.

I'm nearly two weeks into an installation. I've not had a kitchen or fresh water from the mains (we only have water in toilets at the moment which are not fed directly from the mains). My current estimate is that I won't have a new kitchen (or mains fed drinking water) for at least 4 - 5 weeks in total. It all started in April when I ordered a kitchen from my shiny new Next superstore. The 'expert' designer managed to design a "pop up" extractor immediately above two ovens, so it wouldn't disapear into the worktop as planned. It took me a month sever "no shows" from designers and a cancellation notice to convince them it was wrong. Their area manager "begged" us to reinstate the order, guaranteeing a "first class" installation. Roll forward to October. After checking with the "top" surveyor and the "expert" designer that we would get the doors we were shown, the doors that were delivered were not as expected. These are the most expensive doors as we were told that that was the only way we could get the design we wanted. Transpires that we can't have the design we wanted so we are stuck with these doors, which incidentally are identical to a much cheaper range. When I queried this I was told by Betta Living that the cheaper doors are liable "chip" and "warp" and we should stick with what we have. Take from that what you will. Kitchen was also delivered with a damaged unit. Fitters did a few hours work over two days and then could do no more. The delivery driver reported the damaged unit on the Monday and said the replacement should arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday latest. After 11 non-returned calls I was eventually told the notification reached the factory on Thursday. Got a call on Friday to organise delivery for Monday. I was a tad irrittated by this and the broken unit was delivered on Saturday morning. Fitter turned up Monday morning, did another two hours work and left. Called the worktop template guys to organise the "templating". Was told they would do the work on Wednesday. Waited in all day to be told they weren't coming and that we "weren't in the system". They have now promised to turn up Thursday. Apparently there's a 7-10 day wait for the worktops. Then we need to get the fitters back to install the rest of the units (if they're not too busy), complete the tiling, final fix stuff. Incidentally, the fitter mentioned that the kitchen as designed wouldn't work with the hob and "pop up" extractor we had ordered because the worktop wasn't deep enough. The fitter adjusted the design slightly and said it "should be okay" but there is still some doubt. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Bottom line is the website promise "We're not happy until your'e happy" is optimistic at best. It seems they are happy not to return calls and leave customers without a kitchen for weeks. Take great care when working with your designer, just double check that the design will work. Take a picture of everything you are shown too. The fitters seem okay but seem to spend most of their time flitting between various unfinished kitchen installations. I'll update this when the kitchen is finished properly. At the moment I really wish I'd cancelled the order when I had the chance. The service guarantee meant nothing. They were very quick to phone and chase for payment (everything up-front, so I don't have that leverage). I'm writing this review because I got an email saying they valued my opinion!

Initially we not happy that the materials were dropped off on a Thursday considering that the work was not due to commence until the Monday as this had caused us a lot of inconvenience. The solution would have been to start the work the next day. However, we are pleased with the fitted wardrobe although the dust was not contained in the room which made the hallway was messy.

I like quality but not happy with designers/ engeeners job, they are like stubborns who planing not depends of individual needs and rooms but just in the easest way for them to make a furniture. In my case I have lost a lot of space in a room, where could easily be made more spacious wardrobe. Clients should be prepared for long hours discussion with designer and then later after weeks enegeener will take your time as well and could be that change plans what it has been agreed with designer. Why 2 people had to waist your time instead of coming just one engeener and doing his job? Looks like designer is just a sales person who push you to buy a product and promising a lot and when you paying and signing agreement then engeener changing design details telling you that no we can't do this way only one available way is that and so on.

Nice product, poor service. Onus is on customer to sign off work and pay the fitter. Our fitter was lovely but there was a faulty part which meant he couldn't finish the job on the day. We had one drawer that couldn't be built. He said that betta living would be over within the week to fix it. We paid him. That was 6 weeks ago. Numerous calls to betta living but they aren't interested anymore. Very frustrated that a good quality product is ruined by staff in head office that don't care about retaining a good relationship with customers

It took rather a long time to arrive as there was a delay with the sliding doors. The finish is great

Quality of wardrobe- 5 stars, quality and work ethics of fitters 5 stars, customer service by Milton Keynes Store 5 stars. Actual process of buying a bit complex but the the product is great quality and price good for the quality.

(Martin Job No B65762) After visiting the showroom, we booked an appointment for a new kitchen with encore worktops, integral fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Having read some great and not so great reviews we were slightly worried and hoped for the best. The sales man did his job, the surveyor was brilliant, he offered some great advice which actually helped reduce the cost. The fitters from Varney Installations were friendly, hard working and clearly very experienced in fitting kitchens. We thought the service throughout the process was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff and the whole process from beginning to end was professional. Wife and children really love their new KItchen. I would recommend this company.

The fitter Tony Clarke and his team were excellent . I just wish the surveyer had not told me to get an independent electrician . I am well pleased with my new kitchen.

This is the 3rd installation I have had from Bettaliving over the past few months. I have had very good service and so have found a trust in this firm. My latest project is a new bedroom. The fitter was great- friendly, helpful and did a splendid job. Thank you

They did what it said on the tin. The planner turned up on time, the surveyor turned up on time and the fitter turned up on time. The furniture is wonderful and the fitter did a sterling job and also cleared up after each day. I thought the service throughout the process was exceptional. Friendly and helpful staff and the whole process from beginning to end was smooth. I would recommend this company. I had bedrooms fitted and they really do look lovely. Thank you Betta Living you did yourselves proud.

Was upset because I orderd kitchen. And 2 weeks later was told discontinued it .so ended up waiting around 10 weeks for my kitchen. But I'm very pleased with it now it is finally here..

Just had a new Kitchen and utility room fitted by Better Living - it looks absolutely amazing finish and quality are second to none we had Father and Son fitters who were just brilliant with us changing a couple of things from original design inclusive of unit placement, breakfast bar size and moving numerous electrical points all at no extra cost. So impressed it has transformed the most important room in the house - staff in shop were brilliant in choosing colour schemes and regularly allowed us to borrow doors to match with flooring and tiles, cannot praise enough.

Very disappointed,this was a disaster from beginning to end!!!!!! We originally decided on getting our en-suite done in July 2014 at a cost of £8,000. The works started in the middle of September 2014, which took the fitter just four days to complete. The work was so shoddy, to list just a few things, tiling not straight or finished neatly round the window, mosaic tile missing in the shower panel, bathroom door did not open properly because of the valves sticking out from the radiator, sink and units not square, walls plastered, not finished neatly and left in a mess and I could go on. The shower then started leaking. I had numerous different fitters come back and it took until 29 May 2015 when a fitter came and refitted the whole of the ensuite, new units fitted with new sink,shower taken out sealed properly. I made at least 100 calls to this company and everytime they said they would call me back, they never did. I then had an issue with them where the shower had leaked through to my lounge ceiling. Again this has taken months to put right. I could go on and on. I am just glad that all is now resolved, but for the money I paid and the service, both the workmanship and the after sales service was absolutely diabolical. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone, the stress, the phone calls and the time lost from work.

Would like to say how pleased we are again with our fitted bedroom.this is the second room we have had done by betta living and we are very pleased with the finished product.From the customer service girl Chloe who made sure everything was done on schedule,to roz the designer and last but not least our superb fitter Martin everything was brilliant.We had Martin fit our first bedroom so we requested he fit this one.We were sent another fitter due to Martin being unwell but we politely refused him doing the work as we know how good and polite Martin is.I would highly recommend this company but if I were you I would request to use the 3 people mentioned above and you will have no problems at all,they are a credit to betta living,I sincerely hope they receive some kind of bonus as it's thoroughly deserved!
