The one it replaces is operated by cable pull from above - thus cannot be used.
The description does not mention this modification. Have not bothered to return item because some packaging is missing.”

The DT Swiss component on the bikeparts website had the right title but incorrect technical drawing on it, so I ordered the wrong part (I wanted the retaining ring, not the end cap). I used the contact page asking for help to identify which part number it should have been and to mention that the wrong technical diagram was on the part page but got a response from Tim: "Unfortunately I wouldn't know for sure and don't want to advise without being certain. " -- I guess, at least they were honest, but also pretty unhelpful. When I realised they had switcherroo'd the diagrams between two products, I ordered the right part using the code number from Amazon, and the right part arrived within a day.”

However since I paid with PayPal which confirms my address I thought any error would have been corrected.
