“I flew into Birmingham Airport via Jet 2 which was a good journey and very pleasant crew members made it memorable.
I actually feel very disappointed on arrival at Birmingham Airport simply because staff members are miserable and at times extremely rude towards under valued passengers. Customs staff on arrival are very unhelpful with long extended unwanted queues.
May I suggest you act as a mystery passenger via Barcelona Airport who are a great breath of fresh air.
Escalators that work and very clean areas admired by all and friendly staff members who enjoy their jobs.
Also Border Control staff need to be more welcoming and polite.
Lifts are very dirty looking and I felt sorry for struggling disabled travellers. Birmingham is supposed to be the second city , Not at all in my eyes.

“Its close to where I live which is the only reason I use it. The only thing that makes me happy is when I'm strapped in the aircraft and it takes off. It has got worse every year not helped by building work and abrupt staff.”

“Disappointing experience at Birmingham Airport. Outdated facility with unfriendly staff. Security was a nightmare - 2+ hour queue spanning two floors, with only 3 out of 6-7 belts operating. Many likely missed flights due to delays. Staff pushed through crowds rudely. Dirty floors, torn seats, and rubbish everywhere. Unacceptable for an international airport in a developed country. Will avoid in future, even if it means multiple stops. Consider alternatives if possible.”
“I live in Redditch so this is our nearest airport but I am not planning on using it again the whole experience both flying out and coming home is shocking we flew on the 14th September to dalaman with easy jet and the whole experience was just chaos belts stopped working at check In so cases everywhere security is just a joke so please let me know the benefits of all the changes staff are rude we have come back today again total chaos staff rude and the toilets you should be ashamed they stink we have just been to a country where you can’t flush the toilet roll away it goes in a bin and the toilets do not smell sort is our Birmingham total disgrace”
“Security staff were rude and insensitive to the sunflower lanyard worn. Smirked and mocked our 5yr who was traumatized by the whole experience.

“My overall experience in the airport was good, however on return journey using the toilets at baggage area the toilets were disgusting, sanitary bins overflowing in toilets, and toilets filthy too. Very disappointing especially when small children using them. My partner said the mens were also dirty and urinals overflowing.”
“Avoid travelling from BHX at all costs. Arrived at 06:00 for a 09:15 flight, check in straight away but queued for 2.5 hours to clear security. Utter chaos, long queues with no effective management and airport staff who just don't care. Don't arrive early as you will queue without moving anywhere as the fast track passengers and those who are about to miss their flights are taken to the front of the queue. You won't be allowed through until 30 mins before your plane departs. Forget airport shopping or getting a drink or bite to eat you won't have time. We eventually cleared security as the final call for boarding was displayed.”
“Your security for hand luggage treat people like dogs. Laughing and joking between themselves. Power crazed vile toxic individuals. Where possible I will make it my mission not to use the airport. Departure lounge promotion to win a car. Would be a good idea if the sales person wasn’t stuffing his face with food whilst trying to promote to the public. Overall horrible experience.”
