Cannot understand why purchases through PayPal need to be returned by Evri at a cost of £2.99 and not refunded at a store. Will not be buying here again.

Tried to return online order to store. Won’t refund because I used PayPal. Other stores able to refund a PayPal transaction with no problem. Now I have to pay postage costs to return. Won’t be shopping there again. I wish I had read reviews before buying.

I love Bon Marche clothes and I would like some ladies straight legged trousers, which for months whatever I choose, there is the usual (e-mail when in stock) Now looked at coats there is the same phrase on each one. Why are they advertised online if they haven't got them and never do? PS I haven't ordered anything very recently as can't get what I want (always out of stock)

Use to love to shop in Bonmarché, like so many others have been caught out today. Ordered on line, paid through PayPal to add extra security while shopping online, and it gets paid to Bonmarche straight away, so they have definitely got your money and you have paid for your items, went into town to collect order from Bonmarche which was my chosen store, where I collect my clothes from, one item came up too small, asked to change for bigger size, and then get told basically you can not do this as you paid through PayPal, you need to return it, “ok please can I return it” sorry you basically cannot return it here, because you paid through PayPal, you have to take it home and take it to an Evri parcel shop”. Just tried to return it through Evri, now I need to pay £2.99 to return a Bonmarche jumper, because Bonmarche have changed the terms, if you pay through PayPal , you can collect your items from a normal Bonmarche shop, you cannot exchange in shop, etc, so please be very careful how you pay for your items, as something that should be simple has basically cost more money and time delay.

If i could give 0 I would. very disappointed that Ellesmere Port shop close on a Sunday 26th Nov. I have just got home from there, there was at least 5/6 people waiting for it to open. but I noticed that opening times say its closed on a Sunday. I wont order on line as its far too difficult to send back and wait ages for a refund, as this is my only day off I am very upset of my wasted time,petrol. and family time all because the shop was closed

I too have been caught in the trap by paying with my PayPal account. I have found the whole episode very distressing. The customer service person person at Bonmarche head office was very off hand and had a couldn’t care less attitude . Time passes and I am out of pocket just how long does Bonmarche take to generate a refund. I call it shady practice, I could use a stronger description but we are not permitted to print how we feel. Shame on this company, they ask lower down how easy was it to get a refund. I’m still waiting, no tick box for thst

Like many other reviews it is not clear on the invoice that you cannot return to store if you have paid via PayPal. It now costs to return items and it takes a long time for the money to be repaid. I will not buy this company again either in store or online. Very disappointed.

I purchased 2 tops from Bonmarche website. They arrived, didn't fit so tried to take them back to store today only to be told that they do not give refunds to items purchased online when paid using a debit card via Paypal. If I had known this before buying I wouldn't not have used Paypal. Their returns policy on the paperwork I received in the package said FREE RETURNS TO STORE - but there was no comment regarding payment methods. I travelled 30mins in the car each way to return these items to be met with negativity both in store and on the phone to customer services. They DO NOT offer easy or free returns if you pay with Paypal. Be warned. Their returns policy is misleading and inaccurate. I will be making a formal complaint to their head office in writing. I will have to return these by post at my cost but it is not from choice, I have no choice if I want a refund. Total waste of time & money. I will never be buying from this company again based on this experience.

I paid for delivery 3 to 5 days to store for online order. Didn't arrive in time and I have now paid delivery and return postage. Emailed customer services but no response yet. I purchased the item on 10th October. Paid with PayPal. Nobody interested once they have your money.

Bon Marche need to up their game re: PayPal refunds. Other retailers can refund items bought online via PayPal with no fuss so why can't Bon Marche??

Seems to be an ongoing issue. Bought online using PayPal and was unable to return in store. Not ideal and expensive as now paying postage for return as well as cost of fuel to get to nearest store. Would advise not using PayPal for online Bonmarche purchases.

Have just purchased a pair of Susie slim leg jeans, found them to be poor quality and a bad fit compared to the same jeans I bought previously. I have now returned them back to shop.

Bought online. Had to return some items so went to the store. Wouldn't exchange as I used paypal so I had to return by post costing £2.99. Royal mail picked it up on 7days. Dont know how long a refund takes.

Orders a few times and waited and waited but no parcel arrived. Contacted customer service and they said it’s delivered check with neighbours and parcel drop-off centre. But they could not tell me where the parcel was dropped off at. Email again they said it was signed for but would not tell me by who. Now said they will refund half but they are at a loss. Still waiting on my half of refund. Avoid at all cost !!!

I love Bonmarche ladies clothes. Good quality & such good value for money I think. But more importantly the ladies in Hereford store so friendly & so helpful.Nothing is too much trouble.! Keep up the good service ladies. So nice these days.

Do not purchase with PayPal online as If you want to return item they will not accept it in store you have to post it and it can take ages for the whole process to go through before you get your money back.
