if i could give zero i would. i paid this on life insurance policy on time( going on 8 years) and then they sent back the check because the address didn't match (i moved). i sent was told I'd be setup for reinstatement sent two more checks because second time i was given the wrong PO box (no notification that they changed PO Boxes). 3rd time still got rejected. Had them do another review and had my doctor send my file for last five years (just go for yearly blood work and check up, no hospital visits or illnesses) and was told i was denied. After seeing their rating of 1.3 I'm not surprised at all by this.

They cannot manage to mail a monthly check do I filed paperwork three separate times to get it direct deposited. They make up a different excuse each time for why they can’t do it. They don’t call you or send a letter. You have to call them. Go thru an authentication process only to have to repeat it again when you get an agent. EVERYTHING they do is intended to aggravate and obfuscate while they effectively steal your money. Do not do business with this company unless you want to give yourself high blood pressure and a heart attack. They are worse than Comcast and that is saying something

Avoid taking any financial risks. They adamantly call for increased investment, citing market trends. They shut off contact when I refused and wanted a refund for my initial deposit. I never received my money back. I can provide evidence that my funds and communications were restricted, yet COVSECLTD*COM was able to quickly help me recover all my dollar I invested and earned. You might try them out.

Caution should be exercised when dealing with investment firms , as i unfortunately experienced a significant loss with an online investment company . With the intervention by Againstcon. com , i was able to successfully track and recover my funds . Their intervention was pivotal in resolving the situation effectively

Poor communications and stalling of a partial withdrawal. Have requested partial withdrawals over the last 8 years from an Annuity and suddenly I need a verified signature form since my last request was denied due to signature. Looking at pass signatures nothing was different. It has been a month and passed around to different Brighthouse personnel and nothing resolved just promises and excuses.

My brother sent his paperwork for a claim and when he checked on it they said they didn't receive it. A month later I sent my paperwork and when I checked on it they said they didn't receive it!!!!! Now, after losing a week, I'm going to send it via email. We'll see!!!!

Mailed form to execute RMD. Never got confirmation. Called to follow up. Told to email or fax form. Called again to follow ip. Said they couldn’t confirm receipt of email. Did this 4 times. So frustrating. In desparation I contacted my agent. He faxed in form, followed up and took care of it. My advice if you have issues is to contact your agent. It was the only way that this got resolved. Customer service is horrible. It is as bad as stated by others in their reviews.

Stay as far away from them as you can! They are very unprofessional and negligent. They managed to get my paperwork mixed up with someone elses, sent my 401k cash out to the other persons account. I just spoke to them AGAIN, They finally put a stop on it and reissued a check. However, they still have not sent it out. This is going on a 2 week ordeal. They will bold face lie to you and will not take responsibility for their actions. I am seriously thinking about calling my attorney because of all of this. I will be so glad when this is over, I hate dealing with them.

Trying to cash in a life insurance policy. Lies, delays and mail delivery problems. I think only a couple people work there and they are terrible. Talked to a supervisor named XAE today. Totally useless. Frustrating and unethical

Brighthouse is not a good investment nor insurance company to do business with my Son Killando passed away in 2021 and ever since then I have been fighting with Brighthouse for his remaining Annuity. This shouldn't be and MetLife was wrong for selling his annuity to Brighthouse. I would not advise anyone to invest in Brighthouse. when you call you never get to talk to an American person, its always a foreigner that you can hardly understand what they are saying. Brighthouse financial full of crooked people. If you have any dealing with this company . you might want to change to another company, but they will tell you all kinds of lies to keep your what belongs to you. Signed Millicent C. Smith ( mother of deceased insured client)

They simply lie about everything. They raised their premiums far in excess of annual inflation rates during the accumulation period. Then after finally getting a claim approved in which they dragged their feet for 6 weeks, they don't pay on time and require 20 BUSINESS days after receipt of Assisted living bill AND receipt of facility completed assignment form in order to start to think about paying. I guess they're no different than all insurance companies which are sold to help you but in the end, are the lying devil in a suit. I would never do business with Brighthouse. Ever.

I had an annuity account that matured and wanted closed. It took 3 phone calls, 2 packets of paperwork to send. The reps i spoke with Alexandria, Brian and Janet were especially unhelpful and obutse. I don't understand why I couldn't have an email to contact the company if there was an issue with my account closure, which there was and delayed the account being closed. Horrible customer " service " . Do not recommend.

I moved funds from my fixed account into mutual funds. The funds did not reflect any increase when the market was high just showed losses. Brighthouse could not figure it out other then saying we are investigating. It appear to be a computer error, but was never corrected so I had to withdraw from the funds and take a loss.

My sister and I manage an elderly in-home care/nursing home policy for our mother. On paper, it's a good policy. It was originally written 25 years ago by MetLife, and this type of policy is no longer offered today. We pay the nursing home, and Brighthouse reimburses us. Currently, problems occur nearly every month due to Brighthouse not reimbursing us in a timely manner. They have a 20-business-day reimbursement window once they receive invoices from the nursing home. The nursing home CCs us when they send the invoices to Brighthouse, so we know when the 20-business-day window begins. If Brighthouse doesn't acknowledge, record, or worse, claim they don't have the invoices, the 20-business-day window can spill over into the following month. This creates a cash flow problem where we end up financing a large corporation. Not good. So, we call and ask what's going on, when we should expect reimbursement, etc. The third-party person on the phone, while nice enough, has no authority to rectify any problems. They repeat corporate policy and tell you they'll make a note of your complaint or suggestion. So, if you're researching insurance companies, I would suggest finding out any reimbursement time frames and whether you can actually speak directly to someone who works at the company, including their name and phone number. Good luck.

Horrific company. Worst customer service possible. Be prepared to be transferred and spend hours on the phone. Their AI phone system is terrible. Just paying the premium is almost impossible. You can't pay for term life online. Only accept postal mail. Ridiculous. Any human you may get to speak with is off shore. Run away! Get your life insurance anywhere else.

They use an offshore call center. No one there seems to know anything and can't resolve anything. You can never speak to the same person twice. Thet ask for a call back number and you are frequently cut off, but they don't call back.
