Gammon eggs chips & peas simple...eggs looked as if they're cooked on a shovel black around edges everything looked as if it had been thrown on the plate from 3ft away...swimming in oil...that's the 2nd bad episode there...never again.

Fish and chips arrived or rather batter and cold chips. Staff were excellent though. We were offered a free pudding which we declined.

Came yesterday 2adults and 2 children, ordered and took our seats. After 20 mins the guy from behind the bar came over to confirm our order and stated he had put the wrong table number on the order and said he would let them know. After another 15 mins the food came the 2 all day breakfasts were absolutely disgusting the sausage was burnt beans and mushrooms stone cold and the plate was swimming in grease. Sent both plates back, the 2 burgers looked like they were slapped together chips were dry and tasteless. The 2 breakfasts came out after the the other meals were finished. No apology this time the food was warm just looked like it had been microwaved the plates were swimming in grease again no apology the kids are a few bits off the breakfast and we left. Will not be ordering off the menu again in a hurry. Very disappointed

Booked a table mid week , host Andy was great, drinks arrived one being a tea served with a breakfast side plate and no saucer. Starters arrived after 30 minutes, my husbands soup splashed all over the bowl and a rim around bowl where it had been standing waiting to come out. Cleared starters eventually then waited and waited for close to an hour no main course. Spoke to Andy who was helpful but said would be another 15 to 20 mins, we hadn't got time to wait for work reasons, we booked at 12.30 now 2.10pm and nothing. Given a full refund but not the point it was a birthday lunch. Staff not consistent all over the place, one minute doing table checks and then in a daze stirring the gravy on the carvery, having worked for 20 years in restaurants felt there was no organisation but a free for all with the front of house. Disappointed.
