“Ordered 22mm plywood half of the sheets were 1mm off. Called customer service they said it’s normal because its timber can be 1mm off and advise to sand it down. What a joke.”

“The delivery was appalling. Driver damaged my property and Builders Marketplace refuse to take any responsibility for it despite it being their chosen courier. £38.80 delivery charge. I was in, driver just left the item outside without ringing the bell.”

“Bought replacement bin lids. Also needed the matching pins but website very unclear as to which ones would fit. No accurate dimensions on pins. Called and spoke to a lady who was no help at all. It was clear she couldn’t care less. Guessed what size pins but of course they are the wrong size.”

“Difficult to get order confirmation and then delivery time was over 2 weeks and when you call the telephone the message asks you to email the customer service team. Why why why can you just not answer the phone. Probably won’t order from them again. Product was OK and well packed/protected for shipping.”

“Having ordered two items before Christmas - including two sections of mdf panelling I was kept fully informed about the order. I followed the tracking - which showed both items would be delivered only to find that one arrived and not the other - I have now received the panelling, after chasing - not sure if they should have been delivered together or not, but I didn't receive any update on the delivery or a response to my email. The products however are great, and the panelling perfect for my project.”

“Website and ordering procedure all good, quality of supplied timber very good and value for money. The only negative was an incorrect tracking number supplied initially, which I then had to chase up in order to get the correct number. Actually another issue (but this is down to the carrier not Builders Marketplace, was that the tracking then went straight from 'awaiting collection from supplier' to 'out for delivery' - making it short notice to plan being in.”
