“I received my quaich only two days after ordering it. The inscription on the bottom of the bowl was perfect--they even fulfilled my request to have the lines of text sized differently. I'm very excited to give this lovely gift!”

“hi maria Carmichael here sorry I am just getting back to you ive had this drastic flu that's been going about. I meant to phone actually the Carmichael crest quaiche arrived in plenty of time THANKYOU. I was extremely pleased with it and thought it was very good value for money. I feel compelled to say a huge thankyou to the staff in Edinburgh as it was a telephone call I had with staff after my online order to make sue the order arrived in time for my step sons birthday the service I got was SECOND TO NONE very polite professional knowledgeable staff so you as a company should value your staff members I cant remember the young ladies name, but she was superb, please check who I spoke to and commend her she's worth her weight in gold. and the young man who received the quaiche for his birthday was ecstatic about his gift as he lives in England now and was showing it off with pride . A HUGE THANK YOU again for the item and the great service I received please keep up the good work and I would definitely shop with your company again many, many thanks xxx maria Carmichael godbless you allxxx”

“First quaich arrived unengraved. Phoned and spoke to a very pleasant lady. Agreed to send back plain quaich same day, which I did. Meanwhile they engraved another quaich (same style) and I received it 2 days later. I hope they received the quaich I returned. I am really pleased with my engraved quaich. Very nice company to deal with. Fixed problem really quickly. Will definitely buy from them again. Many thanks........Lesley Gough”

“Received one Quaich very quickly not received other after two weeks . I was surprised that the Quaichs were not in a proper presentation box when paying over a certain amount of money. Overall the quality is good with the one I received . Hope the other one comes soon as it's for a double Christening.”

We do have a few options for shipping on our website, the Airmail selected does normally take 5 - 7 days, I think just down to the high volumes of post over Christmas there may have been a slight delay. “The Bonnie Prince Charlie 3.5 inch pewter Quaich was a lovely gift for us to give to my great nephew to celebrate his christening. We hope that it will remind him of his Scottish heritage, when he grows up, despite currently residing in East Anglia. The quaich arrived in time as we paid the extra charge for a speedier delivery. The quality of the quaich was good, although I had to give it a long buffing with a cloth as there was still much polish (darkened in the crevices) on it that had not been properly buffed off at the factory. I also scratched my finger on a shard of metal, on the underside of the edging surrounding the glass bottom, that was sticking out when I was first looking it over. Nevertheless I was pleased with the product.”

Hi Gavin, Thanks very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback, I am sorry to hear that the quaich arrived with dark marks on it. It sounds like it could have been the polish used by the pewter-smiths. In the finishing process all the pewter quaichs are given their shine with a really thick heavy polish. If some of the polish is missed, it can dry and create a really dark grey mark, this is usually easily removed with warm soapy water and a scrub with a sponge. I am sorry if this caused you any inconvenience at all, it really is quite rare that this happens as the quaichs are thoroughly checked before dispatch. I am a little worried though that the base of the quaich was sharp, we have not heard of this problem before, if it will help I would be happy to look at having a replacement sent out to you? ~ Sam

“Delighted with the quaichs, they are presents for our friends in South Africa who we are visiting in January. I will be very happy to present this high quality gift from Scotland.
