“Excellent service, good website and will definitely use again. One very small gripe. I was a little surprised at how small the inscription was on the mug. Some indication of font size against the size of the mug would have been very useful. Especially as you have a choice of font type.”

Thanks for your feedback. Engraving is currently left to the engravers discretion. You can state in the extra comments box how big you would like the text, however we could look to add this as a feature in the future. #Rach

“very good tankard, wording engraved was great overall pleased, if i was going to offer any critism i would say the inside hadnt been cleaned after engraving and the box for £9.00 extra had no padding or protection to make it look nice.”

“The tankard was very nice, and the inscribed name and map were very good. There was a bit of tarnish in the seams of the cup which I had to clean as well as 2 scratches inside the cup. It looked as though whoever cleaned and packed it had a ring on. No big deal but useful information for you for the future. Also, on the ordering page, when I selected the picture of Scotland the word "Scotland" was under the drawing. One would naturally assume this label would be there identifying the engraving. The first person who looked at it said "nice, but what's this" He obviously isn't as familiar with the map of Scotland as I am. Lastly, nowhere does the piece indicate that it's 100% Pewter which would be a nice touch. I think that with a few small changes you would have an excellent product, But that's just my opinion.”

“Service was great. I used one of my own images to have engraved as well as some stock ones and all 3 tankards came out looking great. My image has a couple of issues but the customer service was fantastic and nothing seemed too much trouble. Happy Kiwi customers. Thanks again.”

“Engraving could have been better - not deep/thick enough, which made text quite hard to read. Handle was also slightly loose. Very quick service and delivery however, and no mistakes.”

“The handle is unexpectedly hollow, the finish is scratched and was dirty. The instructions on engraving were followed and are satisfactory. Overall I am disappointed in the quality to be honest.”

I'm sorry to hear you were not completely pleased with your tankard. The handles are made with a mould so will be solid, however pewter is a lightweight material which may cause you to think this is hollow. We finish all pewter tankards off with black polish and a metal brush. The polish should wash off, however the brushed effect is a feature of the pewter. I do hope that this was still a well received gift. ~Rach

“I just received my shipment of seven tankards the other day... from order to delivery it took only a week. That's impressive considering I live Toronto, Canada. This my second order in the last year, and I have found this to be a consistent feature of Buyatankard... their quick, efficient, and safe delivery.
