“Service was great - product is rubbish! An expensive "Soundmaster" under cabinet mounted DAB / FM Radio & CD Player. IMPOSSIBLE to get a decent reception on DAB - whereas the radio we want to replace when put right next to it can pick up all DAB stations perfectly in any orientation and the aerial in any number of positions. The Soundmaster gets good reception on a station (but not all), you tune away to another station, then when you tune back to the original one the reception has totally gone. I have tried every thing I can think of - writing this one off to experience.”

“This was the only blue tooth enabled ceiling speaker I found. So hats off to that. The speaker is good quality, no distortion. The only thing to bear in mind is the bass response is not very deep. However this is a common ceiling speaker constraint. So this is not for audiophiles. I'm happy with this in my bedroom.”

Thank you for your review and feedback. We're pleased we were able to get them to you despite the cutoff for next day delivery having passed. The speaker in question is probably the only real fully encased ceiling speaker that has the receiver built in, rather than connected to a separate amplifier or in-wall panel. From what we see, you purchased the Waterproof IP44 Rated versions and not the standard speaker. The major difference between the speakers you will find is that the standard has a better bass response as we point out within the product description. That's because of the material used in the standard speaker is woven kevlar which produces a cleaner, more pin point audio than the Waterproof speaker, which is made from a polypropylene material that is fully sealed to meet IP regulations. “We bought a digital radio for the kitchen which turned out to be faulty. The customer support was excellent, particularly in the level of detail with which they explained their investigation and resolution plan. Ultimately we chose to have a refund, but the customer service made a transaction which could have been very unsatisfacotory into one which was acceptable. I would consider them in the future, I think we were just unlucky on this occassion.”

“We wanted to explore the possibilities of introducing a sound system during a major house refurbishment and came across the BCS website. We telephoned three or four times for advice and had detailed discussions about possibilities with John Hoyle. We sent house plans and, without effort, John produced superimposed wiring diagrams and equipment onto the plans, suggested cabling types, Wi-Fi signal boosters etc. Nothing was too much trouble (when we thought we were causing a nuisance!) and despite the distance from Gloucestershire, we arranged to visit. We spent two hours with John in Chester during which we saw, touched and listened to different systems 'in the flesh'. Some days and two more calls later we chose Sonos as the basic system with different speakers in different rooms dependent on use. Our Hi-Fi equipment was not forgotten and was incorporated into the mix and we went ahead. Post-purchase calls and mails from BCS offering advice to installers, if needed, followed by further transmitter purchases sees us now awaiting switch-on. We have absolutely no concerns that the system won't be brilliant - the only thing is whether we can find one of 7 frequency settings on our digital showers to avoid interference and a possible soapy end to a bathroom visit. Still, we'll be listening to nice music, radio, TV if that does happen! We cannot recommend BCS too highly. We all know how 'service ain't what it used to be' but BCS's staff proves that the old days can still be found. All power to their elbows. DO SUPPORT!”
