“In general, buyee's service is so-so. They could be better (3 stars and above) if they could fix the following:
1. Inspection & damage claims (buyee charges jpy500 for this): buyee should perform actual inspection and check the photos the seller post in their page agaisnt actual visual condition of items delivered -- i have 3 claims with buyee for damaged packaging and all were rejected because the item condition stated by the seller was 'used' even though the photo provided by the seller was a packaging with perfect condition
2. Package consolidation (buyee charges jpy 500 - jpy 1000): buyee should literally remove the outer packaging the item was delivered with, pack the items individually and properly in a new box -- buyee's standard practice is just to put everything (including the outer box) into a bigger box. This results to a higher postal / shipping fee because the box size will end up very big. This defeats the purpose of package consolidation where you're supposed to be able to save on shipping cost
3. Last minute auction system malfunction: this happened numerous times already specially on the last 5 to 10 minutes of the auction. You attempt to place your bid but the page does not allow you to place your bid or sometimes the bid page simply does not launch”
“The site is fairly user friendly, easy to navigate, and the service is very quick! I've made multiple purchases through Mercari & Yahoo Auction with Buyee and had no problem so far. 30 days free storage period combined with the consolidation option is my favorite feature they offer. It allows me to be patient with shopping for the right items to later merge them into one package later on for a one time shipping fee to me. Everything done on their part (i.e buying, receiving, consolidating, and shipping) was prepared/processed typically the same or following day! I feel very confident shopping with them and am so excited to get all my packages!”

During World pandemic only shipping method is DHL Express which is good but Expensive. To get a better deal consolidate/combine purchases.”
“I had been looking for used electronics to use for parts to fix and complement my existing collection and a friend recommended Buyee.jp. I'm happy with amount of items found and bought. The only drawback is the use of DHL Express, even though it's reliable, total for a simple item like a Walkman remote triples or quadruples in price. To make better use of that service try to buy as many items and consolidate shipping.”

I met more new things about shipping and conslidation rules and costs. The main problem is a missing helpful information before do anything new on this website.
Slowly communication because of the limited Customer Service employed, and because of the 7 hours time difference from Europe.

I have been using Buyee now for a few years and like them for these reasons: 1) can get things i cannot get in north america; 2) easy to use with things like translation features; 3) reliable; 4) reasonable fees for what they provide. I don’t know if this is a problem only on mobile, but I wasn’t able to submit any questions that weren’t already a part of the given ones. It simply wouldn’t send, no matter which button I clicked. “They helped to purchase rare dolls from Japan. But customer service reply is too slow as they take few days to reply. The service fee discount should be for all purchase amount and not only purchases above 3000yen. They should not charge additional 1000yen for consolidation as the international shipping fee is very expensive already.”
“I've been using Buyee for the past couple of months now, and it is a super helpful proxy for overseas customers. Their fees are pretty transparent and can compete against other Japanese proxies out there.
The entire process is a little less than straightforward if you don't read everything up front, but they do spell it out in their other pages for those that read. The nice thing is that they've started offering more promotions for free international shipping or free proxy fees since they took feedback about how it was expensive. They offer a wide variety of shipping options, along with package consolidation services, which is super helpful.
I've bought many items from Mercari JPN, which has official affiliation with Buyee. Because it is a proxy, that means Buyee acts as a middleman to buy things from the Japanese sites on your behalf, and therefore, it can take 1-2 business days to process and secure your order for Mercari.”
“I have been using Buyee for quite some time. Their customer service is good and they also ship out the packages very promptly. There are service fees involved but as they offer coupons every so often it all works out quite well. The only downside is that it takes 1-2 business days for them to make the purchase for some shops and mercari, so the items you are after may become sold out by the time they make the purchase. But Yahoo Auction bids are instantaneous according to my experience.”
