Hidden costs make this platform very frustrating to use. The platform tries to misdirect you by implying discounts are applied while adding platform and processing fees in the total. They are exploiting the fact that many people need to get deliveries due to covid and might not have a choice other than to pay the hidden fees Buymie imposes.

I have ordered several times on Buymie and not once has it been on time, wasted half my Sunday waiting around for food to be delivered. We ended up having to cancel the order and do the shopping ourselves. Very expensive service with very poor results. If you are considering ordering from here I would recommend using Deliveroo or one of the other online delivery services and save yourself the frustration of seeing your order saying it is on the way and 2 minutes later saying the shopper is starting to put together your shopping. Customer service uses the same excuse every time and says it was a technical issue and this never happens but if you read all the other reviews you will see it's not a once off.

When I went to checkout, I was surprised to see, 25 euro delivery and taxes for 102 euro order. Just because I spend 1 hour looking through all products I made my order. When the order was completed, I was overcharged 1 euro on top of the 25 service fee. Support was useless. Aldi offers delivery through deliveroo.ie for 3 euro. Thank you but no thank you.

If I could leave a lower rating I would. Food arrived 3 hours late and several items missing with no replacement. A 4 year old would do a better job with a shipping list. Stay well away and the rip off hidden charges disgrace !

Your delivery driver Raymond driving a white Prius showed up late and laughed about it as a healthcare assistant I wasn't able to make my appointments with clients that needed assistance when I asked for the supervisors number his comment was it was his first day on the job and was I trying to get him sacked this shopping was meant to arrive on the 7/1/22 I wasn't notified that it wasn't going to be delivered until the 8/1/22 it was supposed to be delivered by 11am and didn't get delivered until 2:30pm with no notification that this was going to be the case very dissatisfied with the service and will never use this app again

Rip off, extra charges, false advertisement as if they will give a voucher that will encourage you to buy and first delivery free but they will charge you, they will just reason that they are independent service doing the shopping for you so i thought they are great help for this pandemic season for our family is isolating but NO STAY AWAY FROM BUYMIE

Stay well away from this company!. Hidden extra charges. Customer support non existent. A generic email cover all reply to a specific and detailed query on an overcharge. Goods out of stock on my first delivery from Lidl, I spoke to the shopper and she asked me would she substitute. I said no. So she did not. I still got charged for these items. Trying to get answers from customer support is impossible. Like I mentioned earlier a cover all reply email to my query, twice!. Some would say they use “sharp practice”. If you have been using them and have had no problems, just wait a while, or check your initial card payment and compare with the till receipt. ( you have to ask the driver for this). In my case it was 20% more expensive. No more buy me. !! Update, I just got charged another €1 from buy me for absolutely no reason.

Don't use this app! They are steeling your money! They didn't deliver some product and the delivery person took it off from my order, but they sent me out a wrong bill! That's criminal! I complained and after 3 letter pro contra I can't answer them anymore, because they don't let me! If most of you walking in the same shoes, then we have to rise a complain together! I've lost 35 euros all together, but I'm not alone... Tousends of us using this app... Count how much they have stolen from us!

I have always promoted this service but never again. The last two times we ordered they changed our delivery time and the shoppers were absolutely horrendous. Avoid this service!!

I left a review originally but cannot change that one so here is the most up to date one that highlights the key issue with Buymie through their owner. I ordered from Buymie for a period of a few months and per my first review, it is hit or miss and when it misses, it misses bad. From generic and templated customer service to drivers with their hands ultimately tied, it all comes back to Devan Hughes. Devan promotes that Buymie will give customers back their time when from the months I have used Buymie, they have done nothing but wasted my time including Devan himself. After a poor shopping experience where my driver who should've delivered my order in the slot of 2-3 actually had delivered in a new slot of 4-5, I found an issue with each team from customer service to driver and ultimately raised this with Devan. The customer care agent had lied and said my driver was near a checkout which was a lie and a separate customer care agent had said that the app had a technical difficulty about when my shopper had begun shopping which is in fact another lie. The shopper had brought me defrosted frozen goods and even brought me expired eggs. (I ordered on the 20th of June for the 20th of June and the eggs she brought expired on the 16th). I called Dunnes on this date to complain about using Buymie as it is so poor that it dilutes them and I would rather spend my money elsewhere but if they had their own service then I would be first to use it! I found CEO Devan's email (devanatbuymiedoteu) to address this incompetency and poor service and at first ignoring my email he later responded 7 days later when I sent another email because I could see he responded to my review as it says "from owner". Devan responded and said he would ring me on 06/09 at 16:45 but messaged me at 16:53 asking for my number despite it in the thread before his email. We then rescheduled for Friday at 16:15 and he even went as far to make a calendar invite!! Long story short, he didn't show because he is a coward that can't accept responsibility for the fact that he monopolised on a great service for a quick buck. Does he care about the time he wastes? Does he care about the company he has made? Who knows but his actions definitely don't speak it. He sits on Instagram while he wastes our time and scams us posting about his child and his new home and his life but what about our children? What about our schedules and our homes? He only cares about making money and doesn't care if he scams people to get it. I suggest reaching out to him yourselves via his Buymie email if you all have problems because I have deleted my account and use Dunnes own brand delivery service which is ten times better than Buymie. You get what you pay for, on-time delivery, and the freshest quality ingredients. But ultimately you get better care than wasting your time with Devan and I feel so sorry for the customer care team and the drivers and I apologise to them but not Devan. You have to address the root of the problem and the problem with Buymie is Devan Hughes.

buymie is a rip off, just done a little research on them and some things I found makes this company looks like some cowboy job. hidden charges, shop deleivered late, advertising products that the shops dont sell, and they pay slave wages to their workers. I rather pay tesco prices and know that the delivery driver is earning a living wage instead of supporting this company that takes advantage of people.

Watch out for their hidden rip off charges and useless customer service. They inflate prices and add hidden costs, any 'discount' offered is not what it appears to be as to make use of it you will also need to pay all the hidden costs. Avoid these middle men and go straight to the supermarkets offering direct delivery services

I am very much disappointed with their service, policy and conditions. First, I have ordered four bags of Starbucks WHOLE coffee beans to make espresso, but only received two bags of GROUND coffee beans from Starbucks. Neither I have a dripping coffee machine nor a french press. What will I do with that? Second, even though I paid a delivery fee of 4.99 EUR, I was charged another 5.99 EUR for processing fee, which was not invoiced at the time of order. Third, as they could not provide two bags of coffee, they have refunded me the money as buymie credits. When I made a request for a refund to my account they said it will take 3-5 working days. All in all, it is better to avoid Buymie.

I am extremely concerned and disappointed about the amount of plastic bags my shopping trough buymie is creating. I emailed them hoping that I could make a change by raising this concern to them, but all I got was excuses when the truth is they have not a sustainable approach in place for the delivery of goods and don’t care about the pollution they are creating by not providing a sustainable alternative to shoppers using their app. Is a disgrace this type of companies can still making huge profits and business as usual without impunity. I assure if there was a new competitor who has a sustainable plan option as a delivery I’ll ve switching without thinking it twice. And yes they also overcharged on the products prices and charge money in top of the delivery but are incapable of doing something to stop polluting the environment!! And all of that extra money charge to their costumers is for themselves because they pay very badly to their delivery employees with no benefits no nothing.

Multiple charges. The delivery slots are completely unreliable. As for the unfortunate buyers who are working in this gig economy app, they never get the order right. Yes they call, and you spend huge amounts of time discussing different types of cheese or whatever that you ordered and they don't see how they differ, or they pick some item that matches in brand, but not the actual product... Exasperating. They don't get trained. At least, in Tesco or SuperValu, they actually get you what ordered from the store.

Update as of 8th April. Based on my previous concern highlighted to Buymie on reviews, Buymie commented on my review saying it is me and me only responsible for managing my card. If that is true, then why does Buymie deduct amounts without my authorization that categorizes as hidden charges and extra charges. Buymie says it is a fraudulent transaction NOT performed by them. Assuming a real fraudulent transaction were done by a perpetrator with my bank account why would that person would perform only a single transaction only on one day that too of amount 316.47 euros ? Seems like Buymie needs to get a better grasp on concepts like privacy and security.

Tested the service after hearing about the 1 hour delivery. Has ANYONE ever gotten their delivery in the 1 hour advertised cause I didnt. When the retailer doesnt have stock you get a "credit" from BiteMe not a refund. Unlike Tesco where they dont charge for what you dont get - "simples". Then you have to wait 5/7 days to get a refund, so they have your "credit" in their bank earning interest for those 5/7 days - if they do this every customer it all adds up for them. The worst customer service ever. First they dont have a phone option to answer your queries and then take at least 1/2 days to reply and if you ask 2/3 questions they will focus on 1 question and answer it only meanig you have to ask again and wait another 1/2 days

This is another bad review for Buymie. My advice is stay away, and check your 2nd bill for major extra charges. I bought 200 euro of goods and they charged me another 78 euro. They claim Dunnes stores put 50% increase on the price of many items. I asked for copy of the bill as Dunnes don't do things like that, and they told me they did not want to engage with me anymore. They said can't send it. Sounds like they may have something to hide??? They are getting Dunnes Stores and maybe others a bad name. I hope their investors see this too
